Monster Birthday Wishes

Hey there!

{I am super honored that this cutie was selected as the winner at The City Crafter Challenge on 3/3/15}

I have a cute little birthday card for you. I needed to add some kid birthday cards in the stash, so I took advantage of the snow day yesterday and got inky! It also gave me the opportunity to use up more scraps! It was not a good photography day since it was gloomy and snowy!

I started with a Tempting Turquoise card base. I added an embossed white layer which I cut using Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies from My Creative Time. I added my paper layers gathered from my scraps!:-) I stamped and paper pieced my cute little Monster from TAWS: Monster Mash adding him to the right side of the card. I did give him a fun goggly eye! :-)
Using more scraps, I die-cut some Stitched Balloons from My Creative Time adding baker's twine for strings.  Lastly I added the cute sentiment from TAWS: Monster Mash.

I dolphin-atlely miss you!

Hey there!

Well, it's another snow day here!

I have a sweet little card to share with my bloggy friends today! I wanted to make a card "just cause!" I used the Designer Challenge from My Creative Time as inspiration! I really liked the colors and it has felt great to get crafty again! It does my soul good!
I started with a teal card base onto which I added some patterned paper cut out using the largest Stitched Rectangular Die.  I die-cut the frame from grey cardstock I stamped a scene using one of my favorite sets Lost at Sea.  I used the arrow to create a banner from the 4x4 Journal Die + More.
 I decorated the inside!

Thanks Bunches

Hey there!

Are you staying warm? I think our high is suppose to be 39 today. However, it's the warmest we will reach the rest of the week. So, I thought I would share a card that has me thinking about warmer weather. Summer, and garden fresh vegetables. I think this Vegtastic set by Paper Smooches is so cute, and I have had it in my stash for too long and I am just now inking it up!

I started this card by adding some adorable vegi designer paper to the card base.  I cut and embossed a piece of green cardstock and added to the center.  The circle and scallop circle were already cut and laying on my desk, so I layered those together adding my fun vegtastic images!
I stamped a sentiment on a banner from the same set and added to the lower right portion of the card front. Enamel dots were added as a final decorative touch.

Inspiration was found at the current Paper Smooches Designer Sparks Challenge.
Thanks for dropping in! Hope you will stop by tomorrow as I will have another card to post.

Thanks Coach - You're a Slam Dunk!

Tuesday Greetings to you!

I don't know about you, but we have been having some brutal cold weather! Last week we were in the single digits with windchills in the negative numbers! Our temps are highs in the 30's today, and after last week that feels like a heatwave! Bring on spring! However it was 7 degrees when I woke up this morning!

Well, I had a card I needed to work on for my short stack to give to his Coach at the end of the basketball season.  My little guy lucked out with a great coach. His team didn't have a coach, and this awesome guy stepped up and volunteered and he is amazing! He doesn't have a child on the team, so he is doing it purely for the love of the sport and mentoring kids. He is such a positive influence, and he NEVER gets upset with them. He always has something good and encouraging to say!

I used a Deconstructed Sketch for inspiration of my layout.
The Star and Basketball were created by using my Cameo.  All the papers are bits from my stash.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom: Go Team, Washi Tape: The Kraft Outlet.

Clean and Simple Birthday Card

Hi there!

I have a Clean and Simple card for our new challenge at The Kraft Journal. The challenge is to create a CAS - One Layer Card.

Here is what I have for you!
I needed a masculine birthday card, so I was looking through various stamps I had that would work for this one layer card. I went with PTI Enjoy The Ride. I stamped and did a little paper-piecing, and colored in the rest with my Copics. I used Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock for the base.
I wanted to give it a little more something, so I took a length of Sunny Yellow Hemp Cord from the Pastel Hemp Cord collection and wrapped it around the top of the card and tied in a double bow.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your CAS- One Layer creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a wonderful Week!

Let's Celebrate Mardi Gras

Monday Greetings!

We have an "Anything Goes - Celebrations" challenge this week (Ground Hog Day, Mardi Gras, President's Day) at The Kraft Journal. With Mardi Gras tomorrow, I was inspired to create a project for the occasion. Hope you enjoy and will be inspired to enjoy us this week!
I started by creating a card base from Blackboard Stock Paper. I topped it with a postage stamp die-cut to frame the mask I cut using a file I obtained at the Silhouette Store.  I added a sentiment from My Creative time Let's Celebrate stamp set below in black ink. At the top of the card, I wrapped a length beautiful lavender Pastel Hemp Cord and tied in a bow at the right side of the card.  Sequins were randomly placed to finish my card.
I wanted a complimenting treat bag, and I used the Small Kraft Coffee Bag with window which I filled with lots of Mardi Gras goodies. I decided to alternate my mask colors for fun!
Please be sure to head over to The Kraft Journal blog to see the projects created by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Anything Goes - Celebrations creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be showcased in the "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher to The Kraft Outlet store.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a GREAT start to your week!

Valentine Secret Cupid - {Trendy Twine}

The Trendy Twine design team did something a little different this year for Valentine's Day -- Secret Cupid.  Names were assigned to us and no one knew who had who.  We designed a card or tag and sent along a little treat to our assigned DT sister to make her Valentine's Day a bit more happy.  Today we are sharing our projects with you.

I had so much fun doing this for one of my Design Team Sisters. I hope you like my Valentine Gift Set~
I started with a red cardstock base and added an embossed layer of kraft cardstock. Next I added a few tickets to the bottom and then a length of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine was wrapped around three times and tied in a bow.  In the center of the card, I layered a double heart that was cut using my cameo. I then layered this onto a red heart doily. A few sequins were added for a touch of glam. A red and white seam binding bow was tied and added in the lower right of the heart embellished with Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine  bow, button, as well as a tag stamped With Love from DeNami Designs.
Next moving on to the tumbler.
Using my cameo, I used the same heart file from my card on the tumbler. I personalized this for Sukie by adding her name below the heart. I filled it with some yummy Hershey Kisses and a gift card.  Lastly, I tied a pink ribbon bow around the straw and topped it with another bow made of more awesome Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

So there is my Secret Cupid gift revealed. I hope you have enjoyed and like it as well.  Make sure you head over to the Trendy Twine blog to see the other Secret Cupid projects by these talented ladies! I know I am thrilled with my Secret Cupid Gift I received. Thank You Kimberly for making my day! I loved my gift! I have to say I am truly blessed to be on such an amazing and caring team.

Happy 8th Birthday

Hi there!

It's been a time in my house, and not a good one. My little guy has not been well, so I have been MIA for a good reason. I had started working on a few things that had to come to a halt and this is one of those things I was working on. I was able to get in and finish it up, but I am going to keep this post short and sweet!

When I started on this card, I wanted it to be fun and colorful!

I reached for some goodies that have not seen love by me yet and got to work! :-)

PTI Products used

As you can see, I also had fun playing with some Baker's Twine!!

Since all these items on this card have never been inked or used before, I am joining in PTI's Spring Into Action Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my fun little birthday card!

I Whale-y Like You!

Hello Everyone!

I am over on the Trendy Twine Blog today with a Valentine card featuring some awesome Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine

Valentine's Day is just a few days away... can you believe it?

I started this card by adhering cut pieces of patterned paper from my left-over scrap pile to my red card base. I then took a length of red grosgrain ribbon and wrapped it around the center of the card front and tied in a bow; I embellished my ribbon treatment further with a blue bow, Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and a red heart button.
I then prepped and created my focal piece using products from Wplus9: Bitty Buddy Valentines.  I punched out a heart for the sentiment trimming it further with Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and red ruby rhinestones for further embellishing.

There you have it! :-)

Friends Owl-ways

Hey!

I love the new challenge we are doing at The Kraft Journal once a month called Take Your Pick. All you have to do is incorporate Kraft cardstock or products from The Kraft Outlet you pick any three from the list you see in the graphic below and that's it...how fun!!! I couldn't just pick three though...It's just too much fun!

Here is what I have:
I started this card by piecing together the heart patterned paper to a piece of red cardstock and adhering it to a base of Brown Kraft Cardstock. I used more Brown Kraft Cardstock to cut an xoxo border where the pieces meet. I added a doily to the center.  Next I created a tag from a die-cut I made adding White Twill tapeRed Baker's Twine made into a bow which was also laced in a Red Heart Button.  At the bottom, I added a row of buttons threaded with Natural Hemp Twine to finish it off.

With Deepest Thanks

Hello!

I have a cute little thank you card to share! I followed the February SFYTT for inspiration.

I am always in need of cards for my son to give, so I thought this would be perfect to go in that pile.
I started with a Brown Kraft card base which I  adhered some fun patterned paper from an old 12 x 12 paper stack. I created a banner from the circle and dot patterned paper and adhered to the left side of the card front. A snippet of ribbon was cut in banners added to the top of the banner which I embellished with an orange flower button and baker's twine.
Using some awesome products from Reverse Confetti I created my focal image to complete the card.

St. Patrick's Treat Box {Trendy Twine}

Hello, it's my design day over at Trendy Twine and I have a project featuring Limeade Trendy Twine.  I started by adding and pleating some natural fringe fiber to the bottom of a Kraft Gable Box from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I wrapped a length of  Limeade Trendy Twine around the Kraft Gable Box over the pleated fringed fiber adding a stamped die-cut sentiment from My Creative Time to the center.
I die-cut a few more shamrocks in various greens and randomly placed them on the box.  Lastly a triple Limeade Trendy Twine bow was added to the center of the box.
Here is a look at the Limeade Trendy Twine and Kraft Gable Box.
