Happy Leap Day!

Hi there and Happy Leap Day!

Do you have any plans on this extra day of February?  I am just happy for an extra day in the month! It's raining cats and dogs here, and pretty soon I think I am going to need my kayak to get to my car. It's crazy!  It's suppose to be in the 70's tomorrow and we have not had snow but once and it never stuck. Very strange this year.

Anway...yucky weather makes for yucky picture taking!  I have a thank you card today to share with you. I am trying to build up my stash.
I used a brown card stock base and rounded the bottom corners. I made a blossom frame with my Nestabilities and stamped the sentiment and the Chubby Chum Owl from Paper Smooches in the center. Added some strips of cards stock and buttons to complete this CAS thank you card!
I created this card using the colors from the current Colourq challenge.
Thank you so much for sharing a little bit of your day!
~Tammy~

Huge Thanks Sparks Style

Hi!

I love anything coastal! It could be growing up in Florida and living in Hawaii for 9 + years I don't know, but I love and feel inspired by the ocean, so to say I was inspired by the latest Sparks Challenge was an understatement.
Here is what I came up with.
A Huge Thanks to my Mom who sent me this Surf and Turf set for my birthday! Happy Happy mail indeed!
I started with a kraft card base.  Added a layer of Baja Breeze card stock that I stamped in Baja Breeze for a tone on tone background pattern using images from Surf and Turf. A die cut circle with some fun ocean colors created my base for my focal image.
Here is another shot and the wonderful inspiration photo.
Thanks Jen for encouraging me to link this up to CAS-ual Fridays Jest for the Pun of it.
Thanks for dropping by! Have a great day!

Liebster Blog Award

Hi there friends!

I have been sweetly nominated by Laura at Lozadoodle for the Liebster Award.  Thank you so much Laura! I am honored to be thought of and considered for this award by you!
To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know. "Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the Liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting.
It's very difficult to narrow this down to 5 since there are so many who deserve this. In no particular order I am passing this award onto:
Emily Keaton of My Little Slice of Bliss.
Lisa Patrella of Bellalisatona
Colleen Dietrich of Dietrich Designs

Thank you again Laura!
I hope you get a chance to check out these talented ladies! Thanks to everyone who stops by!
You all are phenomenal!

Lucky!

Hi and Happy Monday!

Just sharing a St. Patrick's card today. I realized I need to get crackin' on these.

On this card, I used stamps from DeNami Designs. I stamped the background using the Medium Polka Dot down the right side.   I stamped the cute St. Patty's images from the Lucky Irish stamp set inside the Small Stitched Circle.
I embellished with some seam binding, twine, stick pins, and buttons. The paper used on this card is from my trusty ol scrap pile.  For a bit of fun I added some Clover leaf grosgrain saddle stitched ribbon
I love to use a variety of embellishments. Just makes a card so cute and fun!
I created this card playing in a few challenges. Joining up again with DeNami Designs Sketch Challenge. I just had to do a different version of this sketch.  So fun!
Just a few days left to enter my giveaway. Click here to enter to win.
Thanks for stopping by and spending some of your day with me!

So sweet of you!

Hey there and Happy Sunday to you!

I have a card to share with you using some Wilson Designs Stamps. I can't get enough of the new release! It's truly just a beautiful set. I stamped the lacey doilies from Lacey Lovelies with kraft ink onto my kraft cardstock. I then created my own embellishment by stamping the bigger doily onto my green patterned paper in white kraft ink adding white embossing powder and heat set. Next I fussy cut it and added to make my trio of embellishments.
The sentiment is from Wilson Designs Strawberry lemonade
I wanted some spring/beachy colors. I do miss the weather and beaches in Hawaii. I am not complaining because our first "real" winter has been mild.

I used the sketch over at Cardabilities for my layout inspiration.
All papers were created from my good ol scrap pile, so I am joining in again with Di over at Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Oh Baby Baby!!!

**For my Wilson Designs Release post, click here**

Now you are going to have that song by Brittany Spears stuck in your head right??? Cause I DO!!!

I have a sweet little baby card to share with you today!
I just had to try a stack of pastel elephants! I have been wanting to do this ever since I got this darling little elephant from DeNami Designs, but hadn't had a chance till now.
I added some seam binding to create a fussy bow and added a button and twine to the center! Vintage book print created my large scalloped border. I stamped my sentiment and created a banner.
The sentiment is also from DeNami Designs.  I think this came together nicely for one sweet baby card. I had so much fun creating this! I created the card based on the sketch at DeNami Designs.

Joining in the current Go Fish Challenge which is to use typeset.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Wilson Designs: February 2012 Release Projects Introducing Lacey Lovelies

Hi There!

I am happy to have you join in the fun for the newest Wilson Designs release! Tonight is the big night.

My final project for the release is a card showcasing this lovely bird and sweet sentiment. It is such a beautiful sentiment to use on cards. I fussy cut the bird and popped him up on this beautiful black flourish embellishment that I had in my embellie file and thought it would be beautiful to use on this card. I love to make fussy bows with seam binding, so I did so today adding fun corduroy button to the middle with twine.

Grateful for you and Fascinating Fridays

Hi there!

**For my Wilson Designs Design Team Post for Day Three click here**

It's finally Friday and I have a little card to share with you today! Friday also means Friends with Flair over on the Unity Blog, so that means a lot of crafty unity goodness and you could win a prize pack for checking it out and leaving them some love! You have all weekend to to hop and comment.

Here is my unity card I have created today!

I started with a basic gray card stock and added my patterned paper from my scrap pile, but it comes from Nikki Sivils. I added a heart doily and punched another heart to add on top. I inked up my solid butterfly image from Unity and fussy cut out adding a tiny heart to the center of both followed by the pearls. My hearts were left over  from the border I punched. See I told you I waste not! :-) I added some sweet pearls to the centers of my lacy heart border and finished off with a sentiment from Simple Blessings.

I created this card using the current colors at Colourq.
I wanted to also join in the monthly challenge for Unity: The challenge was to use hearts as long as they were not pink or red. Also I used all scraps on this card, so I am joining in with Di at Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge
And Now I would like to introduce you to my latest Fascinating Friday Feature over on Noor's Blog!

I am very happy to introduce you to our next talented artist Stella! Stella Schenkel hails from Groningen, Netherlands. She has such a sweet and shabby style and I just adore her. Please head over to the Paperie Designs Studio Blog to learn more about Stella and leave her some love on the Paperie Designs Studio and over on her blog

Hello there and welcome back to Day 3 of sneak peeks for the Wilson Designs February release. Just one more day and you will be able to purchase the new release!!!

The card I have for you today showcases some more beautiful lacy images. I have used the lacy flower as a background stamp which I have heat embossed for a beautiful touch.  I have done the same with the deer. It just makes the image pop and so much brighter! I have cut three thin strips of card stock adding them underneath my focal image.

How about those lacy images! Beautiful right? I am totally in love with this set!

Wilson Designs February 2012 Release Day 2

Hello there and welcome back to day 2 of the Wilson Designs countdown. We are one day closer to the release which will be available for purchase February 24th.

I have a fun project to share with you today!

When I first started stamping, I think besides a paper trimmer the first tool I bought was a crimper and this project is why. I went to a stamping party and these lovelies was one of the projects I learned how to make and a crimper was a must purchase to make it complete.
Sour cream container treat pouches
I found that after being out of practice for awhile, they are really easy to make.
Here is a shot before they are closed up.
I stamped the lacy bunny in white craft ink and the squirrel in versa mark ink and embossed with white and bronze embossing powder for a dimensional and dressy look. I punched them with a circular punch and adhered onto a decorative circular die to add to my containers. I added white satin 1/4 ribbon tied in a knot to the tops for a dressy touch.
Here is a better view close up.
Not the easiest things to photograph, but they are so cute!
I love the lacy stamped embossed! So very pretty! These sour cream containers are perfect for any holiday, but they make great party favors or decorations for your Easter dinner table.

So what do you think of the release so far? Awesome
Wilson Designs goodness right?
Thank you so much for coming by today! Now head over to the other Wilson Design Team Doll blogs to see what they are showcasing! Remember to leave some love on all the blogs for your chance to win.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the Day 3 countdown.

Hi!

Happy to have you here for the count down to the newest Wilson Designs release. All of the sneakie looks you will be getting over the next few days will be available for purchase Friday, February 24th.
I began my card with a lavender card base then adding an embossed layer of the same color rounding the corners.  I added some white grosgrain ribbon with a single strip of card sock on top. I used the Standard Circles by Nestabilites to cut a negative window. The darker purple is stamped and embossed using Wilson Designs polka dot background from Scoot Away With Me.  How cute is that lacy rabbit???  I stamped Happy Easter on a strip of white card stock and cut into a banner for a final touch.

A Rockin' Thank You!

Hey there!

Sorry to say it's been one of those weeks where I have had no time to stamp and post. I have not made it around much in blogland so I hope to catch up soon.

I have depleted my stash of thank you cards, so I'm sharing one I created today.
I made this rockin' little thank you using Wilson Designs Let's Rock and sentiment from Wilson Designs Everything's Owlright.  I used a quickutz polka dot embossing folder for the background and thought it would be fun to only emboss part of the card front.  The strip of star paper is from my stash, but was purchased at Hobby Lobby. I cut the stars using nestabilities. The pink patterned paper is from Stampin' UP! and I used a page from an old vintage book that I rescued from the trash pile at a thrift shop. The pages in the book are falling apart it's lost it's spine, but perfect for card making projects.  I added a pink gem to the centers of my crossing guitars!

I hope you have a fun rest of your weekend as I know many have an extra day.  Yay! Be sure to come back by tomorrow as we kick start with a sneak peek for the new Wilson Designs Countdown.

I created this card using color inspiration from The Color Throwdown. I didn't have Poppy Parade, so I substituted with Pure Poppy and I am also joining in at  The Kraft Journal: Color Me Red.
See you tomorrow!

A Sweet Celebration and a Birthday GIVEAWAY!!!

Hi there!

I know it's Valentine's Day, but it also happens to be my birthday as well! So I thought I would share a fun little card and host a GIVEAWAY!!!
Today I made my card using some fabby Wilson Designs stamps using the cake from Strawberry Lemonade and A Sweet Celebration sentiment from Sweet Celebrations.
I stamped the cake multiple times, embossed the top layer, and fussy cut and paper piece onto my circular die cuts using foam adhesive. I love love red and aqua together.  I added a fun aqua polka dot ribbon down the center of my red panel.
I stamped A sweet celebration sentiment in Real Red ink and cut into a banner strip as the final touch.

Now for the fun part....

In honor of my visitors who stop by and sprinkle some love I thought my birthday would be a great time to give back by celebrating with a little giveaway.

How can you win? Well you could have several chances.

1) Just leave a comment. :-) (easy peasy huh)

2) Leave me a comment telling me ways you like to celebrate your birthday.
