Friendship Tulle and Text

How about that title?

Popping in with a spring greeting for a friend.  I started by piecing together a piece of patterned paper to a piece of cream cardstock that has been stamped with a scripted text from Hero Arts.

A doily was added and slightly tinted using Antique Linen by Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  A length of seam binding was added and tied into a fussy bow adding some lavender tulle, button, twine, and a hand stamped sentiment tag by Wilson Designs Spring Silhouettes. 

A cardstock die cut from K & Company was added to the card front placing a beautiful bloom to the center adding two die-cut leaves from a page of a vintage book further embellishing with two sweet paper roses. 

I was inspired by the current City Crafter Challenge use text and tulle.

**Woohoo Moment This card was a winner at Inspired By Stamping 3/28/12**

I hope your Tuesday is starting off Terrific!

I started this card by adhering an aqua, polka-dotted, patterned paper along with a soft pink layer trimmed with pinking shears to a piece of Kraft cardstock. I then added a strip of turquoise Damask paper from the Cupcake Craftroom to the right side of my card face. A row of raspberry felt hearts were die cut.  A section was applied to the top center of my card adding some beautiful pearls. A heart doily was inked in tumbled glass and adhered to the card front. 

I wrapped some raspberry twine around the card face just above the lace trim and scalloped die cut that has been given a touch of paint. A Wilson Designs "Hello Friend" sentiment tag was applied to my bow and finished and dressed up with a raspberry flower button!

A burlap cutout was adhered to the center of the card and garnished with various diecut felt flower embellishments!

Welcome Spring

Hi-Ya!

Is it starting to look like Spring in your part of the world?  We are seeing small signs here.

My focal images and sentiment are from Wilson Designs Stamps. The frame from Simply Silhouettes fit perfectly in my Large Scalloped Spellbinders die.

Sorry I am keeping this short as we have a busy day and I just wanted to pop on and share my card. Home Improvement projects calling and then hopefully a little fun!

CR84FN45 Wilson Designs - Hi!

Hi!

Looking back over the cards I have created already this year they are mostly bold and bright...not what I normally create let alone so many...well, I am back with a CAS bright card inspired by the colors over at CR84FN!

I started with a tangerine card base and added some patterned paper by DCWV. For my focal image I used Wilson Designs bicycle for two from the Ride Away With Me collection.  The sentiment and silhouette butterfly belong to the Wilson Designs Spring Silhouettes collection.  

I colored in my bicycle built for two with a yellow glitter pen.  However, I was unable to capture the sparkle in my photograph.

I rarely mention shout outs I received, but I figured I would share a toot, this card was selected for Coloruq Color Queen Courtier.  You can see the original post here.

Wilson Designs Stamps - Congratulations

Hey Hey!

How are you on this fine Tuesday morning?  We had our first snow yesterday and it was a big surprise for all because it was not forecasted.   It was awesome to see my son's face excited about his first snow ever! (Doesn't snow on Oahu where we moved from) He was all smiles till he realized he doesn't care to be "wet"!  He actually had two first in one day, he started ice skating lesson last night. I am so proud of him especially considering he has never donned ice skates before.

Now on to the card!  Today's card uses Wilson Design Stamps created for The Play Date Cafe.

I started with a vanilla card base and added some patterned papers from my scrap pile that coordinate well with the PDCC color challenge this week.

The stamps I used are Wilson Designs Spring Silhouettes and Simply Silhouettes.   I added a fussy seam binding bow and fancy button to finish off this wedding card.

Yes, that would be all of you! :-) I hope you had a great week! It's time for another Off The Wall Craftiness Color Challenge, and we want YOU to play along with us.

I started out with a Top Note die from Stampin' Up! (Thank Laurel) and I pulled out some of my Wilson Design Stamps which is always so much fun. For this card, I used three different Wilson Design Sets. Everything's Owlright , Spring Silhouettes, and Simply Silhouettes. I stamped my owl twice. Once on the branch and then stamped and fussy cut him out and popped him on for added dimension.

How about some wedded bliss today?

I created a card base from Crumb Cake by Stampin' UP! next layering a Whisper White sheet with background images created from Wilson Designs Stamps.  The stamps used are Spring Silhouettes and Simply Silhouettes. I used a paper doily adding it to the corner which I inked up with aqua mist. I created a sentiment panel "Meant to Be" from Spring Silhouettes. I finished this off with a double fluffy seam binding bow, some glittered chipboard embellies, and a paper rose! 

Over at the Pals Paper Arts Blog they have a wedding theme going on that I will play along with. 

My Craft Spot's Challenge is Bling It Up!

Well, I started looking at my ever growing scrap pile and decided I needed to work from that if at all possible, so this is what I came up with.

I used a few challenges as my inspiration.   Colourq84 for color.

My theme inspiration transpired from The City Crafters 56 Challenge ~ By The Sea. Show anything sea related. 

My Craft Spot - Bling it up!

Creating a Whisper White card base, I started adding my various pattern papers I had in my scrap pile to create this nautical friendly greeting.  The pattern paper is all from Stampin' UP! The stamps used are from Wilson Designs.  I tucked the cute little greeting from Spring Silhouettes under a button and worked my way left with various buttons (sigh I just love buttons, and I have several in my stash to use up) and finished off by sort of casing myself here with the anchor charm. I know I have been using this set a lot lately, but I just love it! I have been waiting to use this Daffodil Delight Pom Pom trim from Stampin' UP! I just had to add it to this card! J 

The sailboat was paper pieced on a Martha Stewart doily. Finised embellishing touches with some paper roses and rhinestones. 

I  usually never comeback and share my happy news, but THIS card was selected as an Artist Spotlight over at the City Crafters Challenge Blog.

Happy Anniversary CAS

Happy Saturday!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Ours is event packed for sure, but I found time to sneak in some crafty time, but it had to be a clean and simple card! I took my little one to an Easter Egg hunt this morning, and I am so proud of him...he found the Golden Egg! Yay! He turned it in for a Clifford the Big Red Dog stuffed animal! Now we are off to see the Easter Bunny!

My Aunt and Uncle are celebrating their anniversary today, so I made this card for them.  Last year was their golden anniversary! So this makes 51! Wow!

I used a little photo and sketch inspiration along with some awesome Wilson Design Stamps!

I used Wilson Designs' Ride Away with Me for the focal image, and the sentiment is from Spring Silhouettes . The flower embellishments are from Michael's.

When I was little, I always wanted my tires to be the same color as my bike, so that is why I colored them in the same as the bike! Fun I think!

Hello! A happy Friday to you!!!  Are you ready for the weekend?

I decided to get my Mojo Monday on this week, so I created a card based on this layout.

The stamps I used were Wilson Designs' Spring Silhouettes.  The paper is an assortment in my scrap pile.  The flowers are from Michael's. I just adore these so much and just like the lace trim I can't seem to stop using them. My sentiment panel was distressed with my new little handy dandy Tim Holtz distress tool. It's so fun to distress things when you are not using your fingernail! :-)

I am also going to play along with Hand Stamped Sentiments- Easter, Creative Inspirations - Easter. Thanks to Heidi who told me about the ABC DT Challenge - Easter Card.

Happy Thursday!

I have not had a chance to play at CR84FN yet, so I took some time today to pull out my Wilson Designs Stamp sets and put something together quickly since I need a Thank You note! My inspiration started with this butterfly punch I just recently purchased because I was enabled by my teammate Amy who encouraged me to go out and get it, so of course I had to do just that, and then I had to get the coordinating border punch! :-)

Lovely spring colors this week for their challenge, so that also inspired me to use my butterfly from Wilson Designs Spring Silhouettes. Also, a couple of the design team members used them, so it just kept coming back to me. One of my favorite things to do is create my own background paper with repeat stamping. Another favorite of mine is to stamp my sentiment over a focal image as I have done here.  My sentiment is from Wilson Designs Everythings Owlright. It's just an easy go to technique for a clean and simple design when you need a card quickly!

I punched three of those wonderful new butterflies out and then coated them with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I had some twine that graduates in color, so I spun some of that around for fun!

I am also playing along with the Paper Cutz Challenge 78 - Ladybugs, Bees or Butterflies, Crafts and Me Challenges - Spread Your Wings and Fly.

Wilson Designs: Introducing Spring Silhouettes

Well, Hello there!
It's Wilson Designs release day! Yippee!  
First up, I have a fun little project I created! I started with a little frame and some paint. I didn't like the green, so I "shabbied" it up with some Folk Art Vintage White paint.

I built my own sentiment greeting on this vintage tag I created. The glittered butterfly is also a silhouette from the set that I stamped in Momento grape ink, cut and covered in glitter! The frame and silhouette rabbit is also from this new line! So, there are 5 new stamps used on the frame! Fabulous! 

I then decorated a regular grapevine wreath with some springtime goodies found at Michaels and Joanns. I used more of the wonderful seam binding from MemrieMare to wrap the wreath and tie a shabby little bow. I then hung the frame with some grosgrain ribbon from the back of the wreath. I really like how it turned out. 

I love how simple yet elegant this card is. I distressed the edges to give it a weathered feel to match the seam binding which I must mention again I am in love embellishing with.  I stamped this adorable silhouette butterfly on my pattern paper and I stamped my sentiment over my image to create my focal point.  There are many more sentiments and images so go see for yourself:
