Happy 4th of July {The Kraft Journal}

Howdy,

Here we are at the end of June...can you believe it? I have another Patriotic Creation for you to go along with our color challenge this week at The Kraft Journal.
I started with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base onto which I added a piece of patterned paper where the edges were distressed.  I added an Event Record from the Ephemera Pack followed by taking a length of Earthy Hemp Cord and twisted it randomly on the card front.  Die-cut stars from Brown Kraft Cardstock as well as other papers were added sneaking in Red and Blue Baker's twine bow adding a tag created from My Creative Time Teeny Tag Holiday greetings. Lastly, sequins were scattered to the front for a touch of glam.

Here is the color challenge for this week:

Celebrate the 4th Patriotic Popcorn

Good Sunday Morning!

I hope you are enjoying this last weekend in June. Well, if you are headed to a friend's for the 4th and looking for a little hostess gift to take...how about some Patriotic Popcorn in a cute jar with some fabulous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine.
I think any hostess would appreciate this don't you?
For my card, I started with a Real Red card base onto which I added a layer of blue and kraft patterned paper. To top that I added a star embossed layer of kraft cardstock to carry out the patriotic theme we are celebrating this month.
I added lots of the fabulous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine behind a die-cut star to serve as my main focal image. I have always been a fan of Baker's Twine used this way! Just above my sentiment (Paper Smooches), I wrapped the twine around several times and tied in a bow to complete the card.
I just added a little bit of the twine at the top of the lid to tie it all in and decorate the jar. The label was found on line. The popcorn is easy to make. Just melt white chocolate, add sprinkles and M & M's and toss.
Head on over to Annie's Paper Boutique to pick up this Stars & Stripes twine for those patriotic projects. Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Let's Celebrate - Patriotic

Hello friends!

With the 4th coming up soon, The Kraft Journal has the perfect challenge to help you get those 4th greetings made in a jiff. Our challenge this week is "CAS Patriotic".

I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock which I added a layer of red cardstock to border the white card stock panel to capture the focal image of the United States flag embellishment. I then stamped the Let's Celebrate sentiment from My Creative Time just below in Navy ink.

I took a length of Red and Dark Blue Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the focal panel and tied in a bow. Lastly, I added a couple of sequins to the upper right corner of the panel to finish this CAS Patriotic card.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your CAS - Patriotic creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

College Bound - Congrats

Happy Thursday Friends!

I have a masculine graduation card to share with you today using some fabulous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine. This awesome Twine is still on sale at Annie's Paper Boutique!!!!

I started with a red card base onto which I added a layer of white cardstock. Using some patterned paper from my stash, I die-cut a banner adding to the middle left side of the card front. I added a strip of red polka-dot washi tape across the middle. I then took a long length of the fabulous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine and wrapped it around the card front several times for visual interest and texture.
I used a scallop and square die (PTI) to serve as a mat for my focal image (Enjoy the ride PTI) and added it to the upper right portion of the card. Lastly, I added a few sequins and the Congrats (DeNami Design) sentiment in the lower right corner to complete my card.

I am going to join along the Retro Sketches Challenge this Week.  I took a little creative liberty...(:

Thank you for stopping by!

Grand Slam Birthday - TKJ

Hi!

For this week's Boys will be Boys challenge, I decided to create a Baseball Birthday Card. I am in need of these quite often, so it's never in my stash for long. I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cardstock next layering a navy blue layer of cardstock followed by Buff Ivory Cardstock which was decorated with various die-cuts, a stamped sentiment and sequins. The baseball bats were die-cut from Brown Kraft Cardstock and stamped with kraft ink. A baseball was created using Buff Ivory Cardstock and added to the center of the crossed bats.

It's perfect for mailing and fitting for a big guy or a little guy...

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Boys will be Boys creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a great week!

Fishing You a Happy Birthday {The Kraft Journal}

Hi and Good Monday to you!

This week at The Kraft Journal, we have a Pick Three for you to choose and create from. I went with a cute little birthday card, and didn't make an "obvious" choice from the Pick Three choosing this week, but the choices are perfect to create those masculine or Father's Day Cards.
I chose to use Red, White, and a fish. I created a cute card with a punny sentiment from My Creative Time Lost at Sea. I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight.  I layered solid card stock onto the base. Next I die-cut a few circles and bunted them flush with the left side white panel trimming the excess. I used my cameo to cut a cute little fish and adhered him to the center popping him up with foam adhesive. I then took a length of Red Baker's Twine and wrapped around the card front tying in a double bow. Lastly, I added the cute sentiment in the lower right corner with red ink to complete the card.

Here is this week's Pick Three Choices! I hope you will play along with us!

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Pick three creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Thinking of You on Father's Day

Hi Friends!

Our new challenge this week at The Kraft Journal is Father's Day.  I hope you will join in and share some of your Father's Day projects with us. Just remember to use either kraft cardstock or products that are sold at The Kraft Outlet.

I started with a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock adding a Vintage Dictionary Page to the top portion of the card.  I punched a border from the Old World Stack patterned paper to add to the top of the card. Using Buff Ivory Cardstock I die-cut a scalloped rectangle to frame the focal image (an older set from Stampin' UP!) that was stamped on Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock that I colored in with pastels.

Before adding the focal image to the card front, I added a length of Natural Burlap Ribbon where the Vintage Dictionary Page ended.  Lastly a Father's Day sentiment was added to the lower right corner and a few pearls to the left.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Father's Day creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
