Congratulations on your Wedding Day!

 Good Morning!

Lots of weddings happening! Including a Royal Wedding this weekend.  I have a card for a young man that was actually in his mommy's tummy when I got married.  Yikes, I now feel really old. Yes, I was also a child bride (sort of...barely legal age to drink hahaha)! :)))))
I always try and use scraps when I start a project. I have so many from years of crafting.  I pulled out papers that have one of my favorite color combinations. I have lots of lace in my stash as well, so I added a length to the right side of the card front.
My sentiment and frame was from Waltzingmouse Stamps. (no longer in business). I used a Spellbinders Label 10 togo with the stamped frame. I created a fussy seam binding bow which I embellished with a paper flower.  I added another decorative touch with some vintage buttons from my stash.  Lastly, I stamped the word Love (Paper Smooches) onto a ticket and added it to the lower left corner.

I am joining in the fun at: Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes, Crafting With An Attitude - Anything Goes, The Fairy and The Unicorn - Anything Goes, Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes, Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes, Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes, HIMCR - Super Scraps Saturday, Die Cuttin' Divas - Favorite Color Combination, Craftaholics R Us. - Anything Goes, DL Art - May Linky.

Treacherous Treats

Happy Friday!

{Happy and Honored to have this card selected as a Design Team Pick at Can You Case It on 10/17/15}

As my blog has been pretty quiet for quite sometime, life continues to roll along and I find less and less time in my crafting space, but I managed to get in there to make another Halloween card. This year, I don't have the stock to pull from to mail cards as I have in years past.

Being in a time crunch, I neglected to get the twine out of the way of my tag when I photographed, so please forgive. :-) I also didn't fluff up my bow. Didn't notice till I sat down to write the blog.
This card I used ALL leftover pieces with the exception of the Halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine.  That candy corn grosgrain ribbon I have had for years, and that was the very last piece that barely fit across the center of my card. I never throw anything away. Eventually it finds a home. :-))) I have a ribbon toss pile that I put all my left over pieces, so I will sometimes just rummage through till I find what I want and give a final home to some leftovers.
Products used
Halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine - Annie's Paper Boutique(on sale)
Orange Licorice Sequins - Annie's Paper Boutique
Stamps
Candy Corn - DeNami Design
Midnight Feast and Vintage Circles - Waltzingmouse Stamps

I am going to share this card as well at: Can You Case It: Halloween Edition.

Have a splendid day!

Holiday Hugs - {Trendy Twine}

Good Morning and I want to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The Trendy Twine Design Team would like to share our very best Christmas Wishes with you today by sharing some Christmas cards, so head over to the Trendy Twine Blog to see what they have created for you!

If you are here, then you have a look at mine! :)
I started this card by piecing together the two patterned paper pieces to a forest green card base.  I added a white doily to the center. Next I wrapped a length of Oatmeal Cream Seam Binding from The Kraft Outlet around the card front which I embellished with a red button, a bow from Holly Berry Trendy Twine, and a couple of green jingle bells! :)
Next I added a red die-cut circle to the center of the doily which I outlined with Holly Berry Trendy Twine.  I stamped a jar, lid and Gingerbread men from Candy Jar Christmas Fillers by Waltzingmouse Stamps, fussy cut, adhered just to the right of my embellished bow. I then took two chenille candy canes and tied them together with a bow from Holly Berry Trendy Twine adding to the right side of the card front.  Lastly, the sentiments Holiday Hugs was stamped in red ink onto a banner made from Kraft cardstock and added to the upper right corner.

I am also sharing at Pause Dream Enjoy: Anything Goes, Loves Rubber Stamps - Holiday Blitz, Paper Issues - Making It Merry.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I want to again wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Kraft Journal #186 - Punches

Good Monday Morning!

For my Trendy Twine Gift Packaging Post click here.

Welcome to The Kraft Journal "Punches" Challenge.
We want to see your creations using your punches and either products purchased or can be purchased from "The Kraft Outlet" and/or Kraft cardstock.
I started with a card base made from Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock which I stamped a medallion image using kraft ink directly to the cardstock base. I then used Kraft Text Weight paper and a few punches to create the flower. I spritzed them with Mister Huey's pinstripe Mist and scrunched and rumbled them up a bit.  I punched a hole in the center adding a brad to the center.  Before adding the flower embellishment to the card front, I punched a border from patterned paper and added it to the center of the card. I then wrapped a length of Vintage Winter White Bias Tape around the card front and tied in a fussy bow adding a flower and Memo pin for further embellishing. Lastly, I punched a bird from colored cardstock and the wing from Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive.
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Punch creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

The Kraft Journal #183 - Dictionary Pages

Hello and Good Monday Morning to you!!!!

It's a new challenge at The Kraft Journal!  For the challenge today, you are to use Dictionary Pages. If you have visited my blog long enough, you know I love The Kraft Outlet's Vintage Dictionary Pages

Today I decided to use the pages as a backdrop for my card. I started with a card base of Buff Ivory Cardstock onto which I added Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock with distressed edges. Next, I added pieced together layers of Vintage Dictionary Pages and patterned paper to the kraft base.

A length of crochet trim was added in the middle. I stamped the vintage labeled image from Waltzingmouse Stamps onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and used a coordinating Spellbinder's die to cut it out before placing it on the card front with foam mounting tape.

Aqua Mist Bias Tape was used to create a fluffy bow in the corner which I embellished further with Natural Hemp Cord bow and a flower. Lastly, I added three pearls to the lower right corner for a final embellishing touch.

I am also sharing at D.L. Art - August Linky Challenge.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Dictionary Page creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Thinking of You Sketch card with The Kraft Journal

Hey there!

Hope it's a beautiful spring like day in your neck of the woods. It's the start of a new week and that means I have a card to share with you for The Kraft Journal. It's a sketch challenge this week, and yay me I created a "Dreaded Man Card" also known on my blog as a "DMC". Masculine cards are usually pretty tough for me because I like to use pretty girly frillies...you know ribbons, bows, buttons, pearls...etc.

This came together easy between the sketch this week and the great products at The Kraft Outlet. I used a base of Blackboard Stock Paper onto which I added a piece of solid patterned paper with distressed edges. I stayed pretty true to the sketch, and I added a fun print patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. Next I stamped a frame and sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and cut it out with a coordinating die-cut.
Final embellishing touches included using Lost & Found Salvage Stickers to add tickets and soda bottle caps to the card front.

Here is the sketch to follow this week:

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your sketch creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

The Kraft Journal #160 - Sketch Challenge

Hello!

Are you ready for another fresh start to the week with a new challenge at The Kraft Journal?  This week we have a sketch for you to try.
I kept pretty true to the sketch, and it's sure nice to have a pattern to follow and easy enough to crank out quickly. I hope you will give it a try and link up with us this week.

I started with a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock next adding a piece of patterned paper that has had the edges distressed.  I layered a piece of patterned paper vertically to the left portion of the card front next adding a length of Black Twill Tape which I wrapped around the card front and tying off in a bow which I then paired with a Pastel Hemp Cord bow embellished with a Custom Faster. Lastly, I added my stamped image from Waltzigmouse Stamps Blessed By You onto Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock.  I then added it to a scallop circle cut from Blackboard Stock Paper

Below you will find the sketch to join in the fun this week at The Kraft Journal
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Sketch Pattern creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Holiday Hugs

Hi There!

In an effort to knock out some Christmas cards towards my 2014 stash, I thought I would play along again at Merry Monday!  The theme this week is Ornaments. So I pulled out my Waltzingmouse Stamps again and got to work.
I used lots of different Waltzingmouse Christmas sets to create the card. Mostly taking flourishes and snowflakes to create the backing paper behind the ornament. The sets I used:
Vintage Ornaments (Ornament)
Seasons of Love Tags (Snowflakes, flourish)
Sewing Box Christmas (snowflakes)
I used a scrap of patterned paper I had at the bottom and scraps of ribbon at the top to make the banners. I never throw anything away even tiny ribbon pieces because they usually come in handy in the design process at some point! :-)))

As mentioned, I found inspiration at Merry Monday - Ornament Challenge
I am going to share at Just B Creative - January Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, 3 Girl Jam - Anything Goes With Ribbon, Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge.

I hope you are staying warm wherever you are. Even the south has been hit with snow and cold.

Have a Terrific Thursday!

From Valentine's to Christmas...

Hey there!

{I am delighted that this card was chosen at a Merry Monday Honorable Mention on 1/27/14}

I have been sharing Valentine projects the last few days, but I am moving backwards, (or way forward) with Christmas. I have good intentions to try and work on Christmas early, but I don't usually get a lot of extra crafty time these days.  I saw some inspiration both at Festive Friday and Merry Monday that jumped started my mojo. I love the inspiration at Festive Friday. For me, it gave a homespun feeling which is the direction I went with today.

I started with a red card base onto which I added my layers of Kraft cardstock and red gingham check patterned paper. Taking a cue from the inspiration photo at Merry Monday, I grabbed a piece of vintage book print and added to the card front. I added some ric-rac velvet trim and tucked a snippet of a doily at the bottom.
From Waltzingmouse 2011 Holiday Ornaments, I stamped the reindeer ornament in cream pigment ink which has been heat embossed then cut with the coordinating die. A red seam binding bow was added to the top of the ornament embellished with a white poinsettia flower and a tag using a sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps Seasons of Love - Tags set.

As mentioned, inspiration for this card was found at Festive Friday
I am also sharing at: Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, Just B Creative - January Linky Party. Saying hi again at: Pixie's Crafty Snippet Playground

I hope you have a warm and fabulous Friday!
