Seasons Greetings and Fascinating Fridays

Hello everyone!

(Woohoo! This card made Fabulous 3 Spotlight at DeNami Designs)

To those that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday! I trust it was a wonderful day and given many opportunities to reflect on what you are grateful for!

We have been a bit under the weather in this house, so I have not felt much like crafting this past week.  Hopefully better days are ahead for us around here.

I do have a little creation for you today trying to get back into the swing of things.  The DeNami Designs Sketch Challenge is underway, and I wanted to get my ink on with a stamp I have been eager to play with since I got it.  It's the DeNami Designs Pine Wreath.  I have to admit when I opened my box the image was much bigger than I expected, but it is so BEAUTIFUL!  I decided to stamp the image slightly off center!  I liked how Michele added buttons to the wreath she created here using the pine sprig, so I decided to add my take by adding some bright pink bling!  I also added some Martha Stewart snow flake glitter to give it that wintery feel!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love PINK, so when I saw that The City Crafter Challenge was A Pink Christmas I knew that the  Pine Wreath would look so beautiful in PINK and I would have to play along.

The Classic Seasons Greetings sentiment is also from DeNami Designs.  I added some pink angel wings and flower embellishments to complete my take on the sketch which you can see below.

Now onto my next Fascinating Friday Feature on the Paperie Designs Blog.
I am happy to introduce you to Paulina Nakamura  of Pretty Pink Posh.   Paulina is also the mastermind behind the DeNami Designs Blog and she is one super talented posh rubber stamper! Please head over to the Paperie Designs Studio Blog to learn more about Paulina!  When you are done, head over to her blog and leave her some love and check out her bright and fun creations!

Until next time!

Happy Birthday Circle Style!!!

Hey There!

Well, my son's birthday has come and gone and I think I am still trying to recover! :-) It was a blast!

Now on to a card for a birthday party he was invited to.  Our neighbor is turning 5 in a few days, so I wanted to make a fun little "girly" card for her!

The Tuesday Throwdown Challenge is to use Lots of Circles.  I used lots of DeNami Stamps that were perfect for this challenge.  I started with a pink card base.  Next on my Whisper White layer I rounded the top corners and stamped DeNami Medium Polka Dot Background on the top portion.  Up next I used DeNami Birthday Wishes Circles in Spun Sugar.  To the bottom of my card, I added some pink crochet trim from my stash topping with a green polka dot scalloped and eyelet border finishing the layers off with some pink twine and a green button.

My focal image was created using my nesting Spellbinder circle dies, and a By The Numbers die.  I used DeNami Medium Double Circle stamp in Spun Sugar to accent the 5.  I added some Martha Stewart glitter flakes to the 5.
I am adding this to Jules Snippet Challenge...yep totally created from my stash...even the card base was left over from another make.
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Veterans Day!

Hi Friends!

{Edit to note: This card made The Shabby Tea Room's Honorable Mention Cup of Tea! Yay! Thank you so much!}

I have another Thanksgiving card to share today.

Since it's Veterans Day I only saw it fitting to create a Patriotic Thanksgiving card. To all those who have served in the past and are currently serving I am Giving thanks!

This card is applicable for two challenges: The Shabby Tea Room: A Shabby Thanksgiving and The Kraft Journal: Giving Thanks.

I created my own tag then I ran it through the crimper to simulate corrugated cardboard.  I heart Kraft! :-) I added some great papers, a sentiment and crochet trim.

Here is The Shabby's Tea Room beautiful inspiration photo.
I am going to keep this short as I have to complete the finishing preparations for my son's birthday party. In a few hours I will have a lot of people here to help my son celebrate another year! I have been burning the midnight oil working on the finishing touches, so I hope all will enjoy.  He is having a train party!
If you have a moment today, please head over to check out our newest Fascinating Friday feature Jocelyn Olson of Red Balloon Cards.   Please stop by Joceylyn's blog and check out her fantastically fun and modern designs.

If you see a Veteran, be sure to Thank them!

Merry Christmas Vintage Style

Hello~

I have a Christmas card to share today!

The challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week is to use the colors: Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla!  I got as close to the colors as I could. I did have the Real Red and Very Vanilla.  Everything you see was created from scraps YES AGAIN! I have a very large scrap pile, so I try and work with those pieces if possible!

I started with Very Vanilla card base embossed my Real Red strip and adhered to my card front. I cut a doily from my green patterned paper, and then cut ribbon banner to adhere on top of my hand cut doily.

I adhered my Christmas Vintage focal point finishing off with a felt snowflake embellishment, fussy bow, button and stamped tag that was created with a DeNami Design tree stamp from the Winter Fun Petit Fours collection.

I am also happy to play along at Really Reasonable Ribbons Christmas Theme Challenge.

I hope you have a great weekend!
~Tammy~
(Edit to note to say I am sorry about the spacing and font changes...something blogger did and I have been unable to correct...it looks fine in my write up....anyone who understands this stuff and has advice I would love the help)

Giving Thanks

Hi!

(For my CR84FN post scroll down or click here)

It's Friday and that means Friends with Flair time over at Unity.  Make sure you stop by the Unity blog and blog hop to all the participants blogs because you could win some free stamps! It's true, I won a few weeks ago! You get a lot of Unity goodness for just spreading a little love!

I created an autumn inspired card that works perfectly for the current Unity Monthly Challenge which is autumn - harvest! I used Unity Simple Blessings.
Everything on this card was pulled from my scrap pile!  So happy I found my embossing folders! It adds such nice texture to any paper item.
That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by! Many blessings!

Thinking of You!

Hi!

Well as I have stated in the past, I craft by mood, and today it was a more modern CAS kind of day!

I needed a Thinking of You card and I loved the color palette at CR84FN.  It was the perfect combination to spark my creativity for this card!

I used Stepping Stones Designs Always Here.  I stamped the butterfly and cut it out. Next I bent the wings upward and glued the center of the butterfly down adding some beautiful rhinestones for a finishing touch.

I am just squeaking in the final hours of Jules Snippet Challenge! The above creation were snippets in my scrap box.  You would think my pile is lessening, but somehow it feels like it's multiplying!  I guess that means I have way too many scraps!  I can't throw anything out because I am usually grabbing small pieces to punch or piece, or just create a whole card, so you just never know when you can use something! Also the recycle girl in me just can't seem to throw those papers out!

Before you go! Here is the lovely inspiration color story for CR84FN.

Hope your day has been terrific!

Homespun Fall

Hey all!

{Edit to note: This card made The Shabby Tea Room's Honorable Mention Cup of Tea! Yay! Thank you so much!}

I am having a hard time believing it's November ALREADY! Did everyone have a great Halloween?  We did as my little one came home with a pretty big bag of loot! The dads in our neighborhood walked as a group with the kids and we huddled around the fire pit and handed out candy.  We sat a table up so those ghost and goblins had quite a buffet to add to their treat bags!

I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today!  The Shabby Tea Room issued a Homespun Fall challenge this week.  When I think of Homespun, Gingham comes to mind first.  So I just had to add a bit of that to my card.

Again, I grabbed everything from my scrap pile! Yay, for using up some scraps! I added a doily distressed in Orange Marmalade ink next adding my focal image with crochet trim and an assortment of buttons. I used a lacy scallop punch on the bottom of my patterned paper which works well for the challenge this week at The Kraft Journal -  to use banners or border punches on your creation.
I made the inside simple with a sentiment from DeNami Designs and a pumpkin stamp from their Autumn Stamp Set. Keeping the inside simple leaves enough room to write a personal message!
I love the inspiration photo The Shabby Tea Room has this week!
I have not had a chance to play along with Jules Snippet Challenge in a few weeks, so I am happy to play along this go around!  Also playing along at The Ribbon Carousel - Anything Goes with the New Crew!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
~Tammy~
