The Ribbon Reel #67 - Happy New Year!

So, it's time for our next monthly challenge at The Ribbon Reel: Michelle is our host and she ask that you use the inspiration photo to "Ring In the New Year" plus gold, silver, and ribbon.

Here is what I have created for the new challenge.

The Ribbon Reel Supplies:
I started by piecing together my patterned paper to my silver glitter cardstock onto which I adhered to a base of Buff Ivory Cardstock. I added a border of tinsel glitter to the Buff Ivory Cardstock rectangle to create a frame.  A Vintage Angel image was printed and fussy cut from cardstock and placed in the center of my glitter framed with foam mounting tape for dimension. Happy New Year was stamped (DeNami Design) in black ink below the Angel. A fussy bow of gold and silver May Arts ribbon was added to the upper left corner embellished with bells, and Gold Leaf Pins. Further embellishing consisted of German Glass Glitter Stars, buttons, and ribbon trimmings.

Here is the inspiration photo Michelle is sharing with us for inspiration.

Please head over to The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog for additional information and to see what the other talented ladies have created for you.  We hope you join us in the gallery over the next two weeks for your chance to win some Ribbon Reel goodness.

How was your weekend?  I hope it was an enjoyable one!

It's time for another challenge at The Ribbon Reel.  This one was chosen by Zuzana, and she has asked that you create a card or project using the colors blue, white, and a touch of gold using ribbons and lace on your project.

I have created a sympathy card to share with you today.
The Supplies used from The Ribbon Reel:
I started with a navy card base onto which I added my patterned papers. A length of crochet trim was added to the center. The sentiment was stamped in a navy ink onto the center of the circle die and placed to the left side of the card front. Three ribbon tags were cut into banners and placed below the sentiment and two paper roses were added.  A gold bow was created and a flower was placed in the center for an embellishing touch.
Here is the inspiration photo to get you started this week.

The RibbonReel Challenge 58 - A Time To Celebrate

Hello~

{Honored that this was a Top 3 Shout Out at Link Up Tuesday Linky Party 7/22/13 Thank You so much}

Welcome to another challenge at The Ribbon Reel! I am actually the host and I would like to see you create a card or project using the inspiration photo below, using the colors Pink and White PLUS Ribbon and Lace
The Supplies I used from The Ribbon Reel:
If you have followed me long enough, I think it's no secret that I love pink! (aqua too), but I loves me some pink! :-) I started with a pink card base and I embossed a white cardstock panel using the letterpress technique.  Using Hero Arts Clouds backgroud stamp, I used a pink ink layering to create another background paper. From my patterned paper stash, I found a pretty pink panel to add to the bottom. I added a length of beautiful white crochet trim. In the lower right corner, I added a sentiment from Hero Arts: Cuckoo

I die-cut and layered some hearts with some pink glittery goodness in the center of the card front. In the upper right corner of the heart, I added my three beautiful paper roses.
As you see above, I tied a fussy shabby bow using pink and white seam binding. I stamped the clock from the Hero Arts Cuckoo set in charcoal ink and added to the center adding a pink rhinestone to the center. A final embellishing touch was adding a White Pearl Stick Pin.

Here is your inspiration photo! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I hope it will inspire you to create and join us the next two weeks.
Please be sure to make a stop over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to view the rest of the gorgeous creations by the design team.  I hope to see your creations in the gallery the next two weeks.  You could be the next winner of The Ribbon Reel shopping spree!

The Ribbon Reel #57 - Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends,

It's Ribbon Reel Challenge time!   Helen is hosting and she has chosen a beautiful inspiration photo and asked that you use the colors in the photo, lace, ribbon, twine and flowers.
The supplies from The Ribbon Reel used:
I started with a a cream card base onto which I added my patterned paper. I stamped a frame onto a die-cut and cut in half adding at the top and bottom of my card. I added a sentiment to the bottom and embellished the top die-cut with satin angel wings, aqua button, and twine.
Pulling inspiration from the photo, I stamped and die-cut a tea cup in pink, gingham paper which I added a snippet of crochet trim and a button. While on the subject of snippets, I took some leftove pieces and created banners and placed below the teacup before placing in the center of my oval circle. Lastly, I created a fussy bow out of Beige Seam binding and embellished with a twine bow and tea rose.
Below is the beautiful inspiration photo.

The Ribbon Reel #55 - Happy Birthday

Hi!

{This is my second post of the day, if you are looking for the DeNami Designs Patterned Paper Blog Hop click here)

Hard to believe it's time for another challenge at The Ribbon Reel already! Zuzana is our host and she has asked that we create a card with pearls, plus ribbon, lace and twine. The Pearls can be adhesive, brads, pins...whatever your heart desires as long as you show us your treasured pearls.

Here is what I created today.
The Supplies from The Ribbon Reel used:
I started with a white card base next adding my white lattice rectangle cut.  I added some patterned paper from Pink Paislee Bayberry cottage collection to the center. I stamped DeNami Designs Decorative Crest Circle with Peeled Paint distress ink onto my green cardstock. I added three beautiful rose buds to the center embellishing with some pearls from my stash. I die-cut a fancy flourish adding to the top of my Decorative Crest.

I tied a double Mauve Mesh bow which I further embellished with an Ivory Button Twine double bow, vintage pearl button and a sentiment tag stamped using DeNami Designs Thoughtful Greeting Set. I just love how perfect these little sentiments are for tags. :-) A final finishing touch was adding some crochet trim across the top.

Here is the new inspiration photo to kick start your mojo.

The Ribbon Reel #53 - Spring Joy and a "Green" recycled card...

Hi!

It's a new challenge at The Ribbon Reel and Debbie is our host.  You are asked to use the colors in the inspiration photo plus a bunny and of course ribbon!
The Ribbon Reel Supplies used:
This is recycling at it's best: I had started a card for a challenge a month ago and due to a family emergency my "extra for fun" crafting time has been put on the back burner a bit, so I never completed the card.  I had the row of stamped flowers started along the bottom and that is where I stopped. The original card was going to have them stamped at the top as well as the sides, so when I saw the current challenge for The Ribbon Reel I was delighted to be able to use this card.
I have several "green" things on this card. I cut the frame from a cereal box using my cricut and painted with acrylic paint and sanded the edges. I also cut the bunny image using my cricut and running through my Xyron to create a sticker to apply the glitter. Next I used a brown paper bag to cut my banner and layered all on the green patterned paper that was in my "scrap" pile. Finishing touches include adding, ribbon, buttons, twine and the sentiment Spring Joy from Paper Sweeties Jelly Bean Time

How about this darling inspiration photo!!!!
Please head over to The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to see what the other talented ladies have created for you.  We hope you join us in the gallery over the next two weeks for your chance to win some Ribbon Reel goodness.

Thank you for visiting me!
