The Kraft Journal #119 - Pop of Color for Teacher Appreciation Week!

{For The Ribbon Reel Challenge Post click here.}

For today's "Pop of Color"challenge at The Kraft Journal, I created a decorated bag for the upcoming Teacher Appreciate Week using Red as my Pop of Color.  I started with the Medium Kraft Paper Sack from The Kraft Outlet. I have to say, their bags just rock! They are nice and sturdy and made of awesome quality. Not like the ones you would find in the grocery store for lunches.

Using an apple stamp and Mini Swirl Flourish stamp from DeNami Designs, I randomly stamped the bag using Real Red ink from Stampin' UP!.

For a softer feel, I added a white doily to the center of the decorated Medium Kraft Paper SackI further decorated by adding some red patterned papers from the good ol' scrap stash, a cute little paper-pieced apple inside a stamped scallop circle also from DeNami Designs.

My final finishing touch included taking a length of Wraphia ribbon and wrapping it around the center tying in a bow and embellishing with some Red Baker's Twine and a button to complete the look.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other gals.  We hope to see your Pop of Color creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

The Ribbon Reel #52 - Celebrate Your Day

Hi!

It's another challenge at The Ribbon Reel and Keilly is our host and she would like you to use the colors in the inspiration photograph (below) plus Buttons, Ribbon and Twine.

I started with a Lunch Bag Kraft card base onto which I added my pieced pattern papers. I added a sweet little heart border to the top of my card. Next adding a doily created from Lunch Bag Kraft to the center. I added a Romantic Rectangle to the center as a focal backdrop for my little chipboard bird!
I embellished this card further with some buttons, twine and a fussy bow created from 10mm MayArts Red and White Spot Red Organza ribbon. Last was adding my sentiment from Paper Sweeties You Make Me Smile sentiment set.
Here is the delightful inspiration photo!
I hope you have enjoyed and are inspired to create a project for The Ribbon Reel this week.  Please head over to The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to check out the gorgeous projects by the other talented ladies on The Design Team.

Thank you Lisa, I am adding this to Little Scrap Pieces - Buttons and Bows challenge. I am also adding to Sunday {Fun}day #8 - Linky Party, Sisterhood of Crafters - Free for All

Hi there!

Today DeNami Designs is spotlighting the Onesie stamp. You get a 10% savings for one week only! It's also a Design Team Blog Hop and I am your LAST STOP on the HOP! Hopefully you have hopped along the way and left a comment for your chance to win this stamp! If you are just wondering in, no problem, you can find the list below!
I started this card with a white cardstock which I stamped the Small Baby Script sentiment in the lower right corner using Vintage Sepia Ink. Next I added the pastel patterned papers. A pennant banner was created and hung in the upper left corner of the card.  I stamped the Onesie twice. Once on patterned paper to piece to the stamped image on the white cardstock. I then punched the image out using a 2 inch circle punch. I used a  2 1/2 Scallop Circle Punch to punch a scallop circle from patterned paper to nest my Onesie focal image on.
Easy peasy and sweet little card to add to any baby gift.

Now don't forget to leave a comment before you go! You could be the proud new owner of this stamp!!!

The Kraft Journal 118 - Recycle or Reuse

For today's "Recycle or Reuse"challenge at The Kraft Journal, I used none other than an empty toilet paper roll to form a little wall hanging or treat sack. I  started by hot glueing the bottom of the tube flat (sort of like the shape of a sour cream container) then I  took pinking sheers and snipped the bottom.

I measured and cut a piece from a Vintage Dictionary Page and wrapped it around the tube and secured with adhesive. I took a length of vintage lace from my stash and wrapped it around the bottom of the flat part of the roll. I had some crepe paper that was leftover from one of the short stack's parties some time ago and made a fringe trim to go in the top.  I created a handle by hot glueing a length of Black Twill Tape on the inside. A final embellishing touch was using a victorian label sticker from my embellishment stash and adding a black die-cut heart to the center.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other gals.  We hope to see your Recycle or Reuse creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am also linking up to Sunday {Fun}day #8 Linky Party!
Have a fantabulous Monday and thanks for stopping by!

DeNami April Pin-spired #2 - Thanks a Bunch

Hello Bloggy friends!  I am back with my second post of the day. For My Paper Sweeties Release Post, please scroll down.

I have a share for the latest DeNami Designs Pin-spired Design Team Challenge for Group 2.

Here is my creation!
and here is the inspiration photograph...
I started by going through various patterned paper scrap pieces in my stash looking for colors close to those in the inspiration photo. Next I took a scallop circle punch and various circle punches and just started punching out the papers at random.
Then I just started layering the various pieces then adding a few buttons from DeNami Designs Tutti Frutti Boutique Button collection.  A Baby Blue Grosgrain Ribbon was tied in a bow and embellished with a button and added to the top of the wreath. A length of Melon and White Baker's Twine was hung from the top of the bow to give the appearance of a hanging wreath.
Using Black Ink, the sentiment, Thanks a Bunch was added to the bottom center of this greeting card.

I continue to enjoy participating in these challenges!! Be sure to check out a few of my teammates who have created something fabulous with this "Pin-spired" photo.
You won't want to miss their takes!

I am adding this over at My Craft Spot - Anything Goes! Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

The Kraft Journal 117- Clean and Simple

(This is my 2nd post of the day..for the Paper Sweeties Release Post click here)

Here it is...Monday has rolled around again! We have a new challenge at The Kraft Journal and it's an easy for some and a challenge for others like myself...."Clean and Simple".
I started with a simple layout making sure Lunch Bag Kraft is the focal presence.  I started with a turquoise card base onto which I added a hand stamped polka-dot background panel of Lunch Bag Kraft.

I die-cut three butterflies and embellished with Kraft colored rhinestones which I added them to the right side of the panel. All that was left was to add some darling mini butterflies and a sweet sentiment all stamped images are from DeNami Desings Stamps.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other gals.  We hope to see your Clean and Simple creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Paper Sweeties - April Release

Hi!

It's Day 3 of the Paper Sweeties April Release and the stamps are officially in the store ready to add to your shopping carts!!!
I am featuring the newly released Rainbows and Roses and Spring is Here!  I love to combine blue and yellows together and I thought I would throw some black in there for some added interest.

I randomly stamped the raindrops not being precise to create my own patterned paper on the white panel.

I created a die-cut heart from a recycled cracker box which I embossed and painted.  I embellished my heart with three paper roses and I added to my die-cut with my whimsical stamped sentiment. A couple of rhinestones were added for a touch of glitz. A final finishing touch was wrapping my black and white chevron ribbon around the card front and tied off in a bow.

Paper Sweeties April Release - Day 2

Hi! Welcome back to Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties April Release. Today I am showcasing more from Make Today Beautiful. This set is perfect for spring. You can build a flower with this set.  It comes with a pot, stem, leaves, flowers, and fabulous sentiments. If you look at the swirls I used in the background of the tag that is an image that can also be used as a flower!
As you can see, the darling whimsical swirl makes the perfect image to create your own fun background.
I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of my tag and I paper-pieced the heart. Using some beautiful Lilac Lace seam binding I created a fussy bow embellished with a button.
I used various fun papers fitting for spring! A row of buttons was laced with twine and added to the top of the card to complete the look.

Thanks for taking a peek today! I will be back two more times today, so I hope you will check back in. Tomorrow is the day you can pick up the new release from Paper Sweeties! You will love it! I will also be back with another card to share from the release.  Head over to the Paper Sweeties Blog

Paper Sweeties April Release - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Paper Sweeties April Sneak Peek Preview!  From April 13 through April 15th the Design Team will be sharing sneaks of the new stamps that will be available April 15th.

Here is what I have for you today!
I created a fun little treat that is 100% inspired by this darling Rainbow image in the new release!
I created a tag using some lavender cardstock and I stamped the cloud around the hole. I used an oval die to stamp my rainbow from Rainbow and Roses and colored with Copics.  The sentiment Make Today Beautiful is from another set being released on the 15th titled Make Today Beautiful. Isn't that font just adorable!?!?!  Finishing touches include adding some colorful ric rac strips to the tag, adding a bow around the neck of the jar, and of course filling the project up with some colorful treats! These would make adorable centerpieces for a rainbow party.
Please be sure to head over to the Paper Sweeties Blog to see what the other talented ladies have created for the upcoming release!

The Kraft Journal 116 - Tag Your It!

It's a Monday already....ugh....that means a new challenge at The Kraft Journal. Yay! Today's challenge is "Tag You're It".

I started with a Stained Grungy Tag adding some Airmail Washi Tape to the edges. I then stamped some images from Crafty Secrets - French Mail.  I finished off with a Natural Twill Tape bow embellished with a button fastened with some Natural Hemp Twine Lastly adding a red Tiny Wooden clothespins to the top right corner.

Since I love using tags on cards, I may actually use this on a card at a later date or possibily to embellish a package. The possibilities are endless and The Kraft Outlet has some wonderful tags to make this possible.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other gals.  We hope to see your Tag Your It project in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Here is what I have for you today!
I used the Kraft Pillow Box to create a sweet little Mother's Day gift package. I simply added a doily and stamped some dainty rose buds to the outside. I added a beautiful shear bloom and stamped my sentiment and another rose blossom on an xs Stained Grungy Tag and adhered with adhesive to give it some stability. Easy and beautiful!
