Paper Sweeties May Release Rewind!

Hello~

For my May Release Rewind Card I have combined Wagon Add-On Bloom and Grow , Tea For Two Sweet Cuts, with the new Sorry You're Sick, Sweet Cuts - Sweeties Wagon.
I started by using the new die from the Sweeties Wagon with the Hello sentiment from the Wagon Add-On Bloom & Grow set, and I added it to the top. A doily was added to the center of the card which made a dainty backdrop for the tea pot. I die-cut an oval and used two sentiments in the middle from Sorry You're Sick.

Check out to see what these fine ladies have created for their rewind project.

Paper Sweeties May Release Day

It's time to fill those shopping carts up! It's release day in the Paper Sweeties Boutique! All stamps and dies are now available for purchase, but there is still more inspiration to be shared by the Paper Sweeties Design Team.
How about Dr. Jake? Is he cute or what. I used his coordinating Sweet Cut. Colored pencils and mineral sprits gave him some color.
A row of buttons was added for a decorative touch as well as distressing the edges of the papers.

Well, that does it for me! Please check out what the others have created!

Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peeks Day 2!

Hey there again!

I am back with Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties May release countdown.  I have another card using stamps from the May release. How cute is this check box sentiment?
I created a pull-out tag for a fun little interactive greeting. Hopefully this will make someone feel better when they are under the weather.
I distressed the edges to some wonderful coordinating papers. I wrapped some yellow baker's twine around the card front and added a sunny button for a finishing touch.
Hop along to see what my teammates have created today! It's always fun to see how others use the new stamps.

Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peeks Day 1!

Hi There Friends!

The Paper Sweeties Design Team is counting down the release for new goodies in the Paper Sweeties Shoppe! I am using a set releasing on the 15th called Feel Better Soon. Isn't Abigail  sweet dressed in her nurses outfit?
To dress the card up a bit, I added a length of crochet trim to the center of the card followed by adding a length of gold seam binding ribbon tying in a double bow adding a button to the center.

Thanks for visiting me today for the first of the sneaks. Be sure to visit my teammates to see what they created with the new May goodies.

Paper Smooches Sparks - Get Well

Hello Friends!

I have a Get Well card so share today. I needed one and out of the stash of cards I have, I did not have any that fit the bill of non-frilly, lacy, girly...basically I needed a DMC (Dreaded Man Card). :o)

I turned to my Paper Smooches Stamps because I adore the fun images and they would make anyone smile needing to get better.

I love the sweet fox from Chilly Chums so I started with stamping, coloring and cutting the little guy out and adding him to a set of layered die-cut circles. I searched through my paper stash to see what I had that would compliment the little guy and wasn't too girly. I started with a Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock onto which I added my stripped pattern paper from Glitz.  Two banners were cut and added to left side of the card front. Next I added my sweet little fox.
Finishing touches include adding my Get Well greeting from Sentiment Sampler, buttons, and ric rac trim at the bottom.

I am going to share at Paper Smooches - Sparks Challenge anything goes.

Get Well Soon - TSTR182

Hey ya'll!

{Excited and honored, This card made Top 3 at The Shabby Tea Room on 9/9/13}

It's been awhile since I got crafty in something other than Design Team Work. So today I have a share for The Shabby Tea Room using some Paper Sweeties goodness. The theme is Sweet Summertime. I don't think I am ready to let summer go. I am a solar powered girl, so I love the warmer weather. Not a big fan of the cold or the white stuff. :-)))

So enough chit chat I guess. :-)
I started off with a white card base and created a 5 x 5 card. I pieced my patterned papers onto the base. Believe it or not these papers are from a kit I found at Ikea of all places. I have had them in my stash forever.  I figured this was a wonderful challenge to cut into them.

At the top of the card, I added some white trim that came with the paper kit. I created a fussy bow and embellished with a flower and pretty stick pins. I die-cut a scallop heart from some glitter paper and added that to center adding a doily to the top which you can see peeking out! :-) I stamped the wonderful flower image from Paper Sweeties You Are in Tide Pool ink, colored with copics, fussy cut and distressed the edges. A pom pom trim and glitter has been added to the flower pot before adding to the glittered heart.  Final embellishing touches included adding various paper flowers and a Get Well Soon sentiment from Paper Sweeties Occasions stamp set. I almost forgot, rhinestones were added to the flower centers for a little glitz!

Here is the beautiful inspiration photo.
I am also joining in at Paper Playtime - Use 3 different papers, Just B Creative Crazy - Anything Goes Linky Party. Link Up Tuesday - Linky Party, DL Art - Thankful Thursday September Linky Party, My Craft Spot - Get Well, Sweet Shop Blog - Use What you have (that would be a ton of paper)
This is only a small bit of it too!
Thanks for dropping by!
Smiles and Blessings!

IBSIC #8 - Sketch Challenge

Hi!

I started this card by piecing together my patterned paper and adding to my vanilla cardstock.  A die-cut tag was created stamping the frame to the center using a Speedy Recovery sentiment and adding a flourish at the top of the tag.  A fussy seam binding bow was added embellished with a button, twine and a tag stamped with a fussy cut butterfly.
Pretty in Pink!

Further inspiration for this card comes from The Shabby Tea Room.

Papercraft Star - Use a Stamp (I used several actually...6)
Pretty Little Ribbon Shop - Butterfly and Blossoms
It's now your turn to link up your version of the IBSIC sketch above. Thanks for taking a look.

Ta Ta for now!

Hope You Feel Better

Hello friends~

There is a special young man having heart surgery today, so I wanted to make a CAS card to let him know he is in our thoughts while he goes through this scary time. His Momma is a special friend to me, and she is going through heck right now as well. Having a child myself that has undergone many diagnostic procedures I know how tough it can be, but I can't relate to having a child going through such serious surgery. So as a Mom, my heart is going out to my friend right now.

Here is my little card.
I used stamps from Mint Motif: Beyond Borders and Square Sayings and the paper pieced kite is from Practicing Creativity: Your Dandy.

I am playing along with: Stamp and Create: Anything Goes, Card and Scrap: Clean and Simple

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

My Craft Spot Challenge 4

Good Friday everyone!

It's a glorious day and I hope everyone is going to be able to spend time with friends and family this Easter weekend! I am a little sad as the hubs won't be with us, but not too much longer. We have family in town and it's been wonderful catching up with them, so that is part why I have not been able to post and the other part has been because I have started working on getting ready for things I can't share yet. tee hee!

I have a quick card for you for a challenge at My Craft Spot. The challenge is to create a Get Well Card! I always need those in my stash! Kimberly creates beautiful cards with her Cricut, and I miss mine so much at the moment!

In the photograph my beautiful fluffy bow looks squashed, but it's not! I love you cardmakers who are able to photograph your cards so beautifully! :-)

Well, we are off to enjoy a Marine Discover Cruise and hopefully we will see some dolphins and manatees!

Enjoy the rest of your day!
