Wishing you the luckiest...

Good Saturday Morning to you!

{So honored that Jill at Every Day is An Occasion featured this card. You can read it here}

I have a St. Patrick's Day card to share with you today. I just didn't get a chance to make and send St. Patrick's Day cards this year. I know not many send cards for this occasion, but I always try to. Since my recovery, I have been playing catch up on other things and design team assignments. I am still going to PT and I usually don't feel so crafty or great after that workout. :-( This number I am sharing today won't get mailed, but will be hand-delivered, so here is my last minute throw together!

 I seriously just dug through my snippet/scrap pile which is ridiculous because I refuse to throw out a single piece since I can always use the smallest paper for anything. Case in point, the buckle on the hat. I try and use up my scraps first  if I can for most of my projects before cutting into something new which in the end does nothing but make more left-over scraps! :-)))
I used a brand new set that was just released from My Creative Time: I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp Set and Coordinating dies.

Inspiration for this card was found at ColourQ
I am going to share additionally at: Just Be Creative - March Linky Party, Sunday {Fun}day - March Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, D.L. Art - March Linky Challenge, Die-cuttin Divas - Luck of the Irish.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend. I will be back tomorrow with another post for Paper Sweeties.
Happy Crafting!

The Kraft Journal #162 Lucky Green

Hi!

{If you are looking for my DeNami Designs Blog Hop Post click here}

It's Monday, and I am bringing you our newest challenge this week at The Kraft Journal, Lucky Green.    Using my Cameo, I cut a Pot of Gold treat holder from Black Board Stock Paper.  This is one of my first projects I worked on after I separated my shoulder. There are a few things I am not too happy with, but I had to let it go and not worry about it because it was actually tough to do some of the simplest things, like add adhesive, putting together a rosette and die-cutting....ouch etc. You just don't realize how much everything is connected.
 To jazz up the center of my treats, I die-cut a Scalloped Stitched Rosette from Green cardstock adding a scallop and stitched circle from Brown Kraft Cover Weight, and Black Board Stock Paper followed by a green die-cut shamrock that comes with the Pot of Gold file. I added a Good Luck sentiment to the center of the green shamrock embellishing with some Kraft color pearls.
 For the treats themselves, I filled a bag with gold Rolos which I tied the top in a bow from Black Twill Tape further embellishing with a triple bow of Dark Green Baker's Twine, buttons, and a Happy St. Patrick's sentiment stamped on a die-cut banner from Brown Kraft Cover Weight.
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Lucky Green creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am going to share at: Just Be Creative - March Linky Party, Sunday {Fun}day - March Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, Decorate To Celebrate - St. Patrick's Day, D.L. Art - March Linky Challenge.

Have a fabulous Monday!

Hello Friends and welcome to Day 1 of the December Release for Paper Sweeties.

**Woohoo! Top 3 for this gift set at Craftin' Desert Divas on 12/8/13**

I am sharing two sets today that Paper Sweeties released live on December 1st.  I love to make hot chocolate gifts at Christmas, and I think it's fun to dress up and present them in a festive way. So today, I have a cute Snow Globe Card and Hot Chocolate gift with a darling tag.

On the card, I used stamps from: Thanks Snow Much! The embossed snowflakes you see in the background are from this set, as well as the cutie putie snowman and sentiment. This set comes with coordinating dies. {L O V E that} The little snowy hill is part of the set as well.
Now for the Jar, I just added some ingredients to make hot chocolate, cut some cute festive fabric for the lid topper, added some twine and tinsel and of course a darling tag with the cute little snow buddy, which is standing on a snow hill made from a die-cut that coordinates with the set. I just trimmed it to size. Lastly, I added a sentiment from Noel.
I hope you enjoyed the project I shared today. I hope it gets you excited about the new release. We are doing things blog hop style, so be sure to check out what the other ladies have cooked up for you!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and Happy Friday to you all!

{Delighted that this was chosen Winner at The Shabby Tea Room on 10/21/13}

I am behind in fall creating lately, so I took a prompt from The Shabby Tea Room to give me some inspiration. I am going to keep this brief as possible today! Lots on the to-do list, so if you have any questions you can email me or leave a comment at any time.

 I have hoarded these crochet mats from my friend Jessi forever, so I decided that letting them stay in my drawer wasn't going to make anyone happy. However, I may leave the rest in there until I can come to terms using another. *sigh* Aren't they gorgeous. She makes these by hand. I added a piece of orange and cream patterned paper to the center to be a pretty backdrops for the pumpkins. One pumpkin was a die-cut and the other I created.
I used some pretty fall papers and added a length of lace trim at the top. A double bow created using pumpkin ribbon from my "antique" stash was added for a decorative touch along with some sunflowers and green leaves.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties - Occasions stamp set.

As mentioned, I am joining at: The Shabby Tea Room - Fall. We were asked to: INCLUDE A FALL THEME, PUMPKINS AND A STAMPED SENTIMENT!
Cardabiliteies - Sketch
Shopping Our Stash - Oldest Ribbon, Tuesday Throwdown - Pumpkin Patch, Sunday {Fun}day - Linky Party, Just B Creative - Just Because Linky, 2 Sisters Challenge - Anything Goes, Ribbon Carousel - Fall - Halloween, Paper Playtime - Ribbons and Buttons, D.L. I started with a Medium Brown Kraft Card base which I added my pieced patterned papers.  I took a length of crochet trim and I added it to the top of my orange patterned paper embellishing with a button and twine bow for a decorative touch.
For my focal image, I started with stamping a frame from Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels 1 in black ink onto a piece of Medium Brown Kraft cardstock and used the coordinating Spellbinders die to cut out. Next I cut out two scalloped circles layering in the center adding my flying witch image from Waltzingmouse Midnight Feast.

The Kraft Journal 141 - Treacherous Treats

I am truly honored that Jill has featured this card on her blog Every Day is Occasion on Sunday 10/20/13.
For today's Buttons, Bows or Bangles, I started with a card base of Buff Ivory Cardstock which I layered together some Halloween patterned papers from my ever growing stash.

I took a length of Black Twill Tape and wrapped it around the card front and tied off in bow adding some orange and white gingham ribbon, Orange Baker's Twine and a round sentiment tag topped with a button. I added a few buttons laced with the Orange Baker's Twine along the Black Twill Tape.

A Halloween die-cut was added which I embellished with a candy embellishment from Martha Stewart and sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps Midnight Feast.  A final finishing touch was adding orange and white buttons in the upper right corner laced with Natural Hemp Cord
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Buttons, Bows, or Bangles creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Paper Sweeties September Post Release After Party - Happy Halloween!

Hello again!

(For The Ribbon Reel challenge card click here.)

Have you had a chance to check out the new September release from Paper Sweeties?  The stamps hit the store yesterday! Today the Paper Sweeties Design Team is having a Post Release After Party sharing some new and previously  released stamps working together!

Today, I am showing Emma wearing Cute as a Bug with a sentiment from Occasions. This darling new outfit that was just released works well as a Halloween "costume" giving you more ways to use this set!
I used a Sweet Cut for Emma and colored her hair a light yellow. I then stamped and cut her darling Lady Bug Costume and dressed her up ready for trick-or-treating.

Using some masking, I stamped the sentiment from Occasions and added to two Memory Stick Pins. I spritzed some Glimmer Mist on a white doily and added behind the Halloween text print patterned paper. Final finishing touches include a fussy seam binding bow embellished with a black twine bow, flowers and a spider clothes pin from my stash.
I hope you will visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they have created today!

The Ribbon Reel #60 Baby Blessings

Hey there!

{Delighted that this was selected for Spotlight Artist at the City Crafter Challenge on 8/20/13}

It's time for a new challenge at The Ribbon Reel. Sarah is our host and she would would like us to create a card for a BABY inspired by the photograph using the colors in the inspiration photo plus Ribbon and Twine of course. :-)

Here is what I have to share for you today!
I created a mini shaped card. I don't make these too often so it was nice to change things up a bit. I took the direction of the zebra rug and decided to use a sweet little Zebra from Paper Smooches Zoo Crew.

I created a double bow using these supplies from
The Ribbon Reel:
Below you will find the inspiration photo! I can't wait to see what you create!

Please head over to The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to see what the other talented ladies have created for you.  We hope you join us in the gallery over the next two weeks for your chance to win some Ribbon Reel goodness.

10 Minute Craft Dash #23 Happy Birthday!

Hey Hey!

I can't even begin to tell you when the last time I posted a card just to post a card. I seriously have not had a moment to spare and have just been working on design team work! Which is fine because I am still doing what I love, but every now and then it's great to steal some time just cuz! Well, I am TOTALLY getting this under the wire for the BIG BIRTHDAY BASH at the 10 MINUTE CRAFT DASH, so I couldn't let it go without making an attempt. This is for you Paulina! :-))))

Since I saw the theme, I pretty much knew what I wanted to do and the papers to use, but couldn't get the time to actually get it done. Granted it should only take 10, but it has to be 10 minutes uninterrupted which isn't happening in my house right now!

Well, last night was the night, but the second part of this crazy crafty life is blogging and editing pictures and that had to be done later. So here I am just getting this in under the wire.

With that said, here we go!

First here is what I gathered for supplies. I pretty much stuck to most of it. I did change out the twine, added glitter, needed scallop punch,,and washi tape.  See even during the creative process of planning it changes in a time crunch.
Here is what I ended up with! (Thank goodness, you don't see the glitter mess off to the side)

I had time to spare and I am not sure how. Oh, I had wanted to add something to the top of my cupcake (like a cherry that comes in this set or a button, but ugh I knew if I pushed it then I would blow it)
I started by working on the hardest thing first, and that was stamp and paper piece the cupcake image.I cut down a piece of white cardstock and added a scallop trim in coordinating polka-dotted patterned paper to the bottom. I added the washi tape, and then stamped my greeting.

My cupcake needed some zing, so I added some chunky glitter and added to the panel with foam mounting tape. Using more foam tape, I added the panel to the center of the card. Lastly, I took a length of Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the card front and tied in a bow adding a button!
Time to complete 9:04.8 WHEW!
The stamps I used are by Hero Arts - Cupcakes
CD_23

I am also joining Link It Up Tuesday - Linky Party, Sunday {Fun}day - Linky Party, Just B Creative Crazy - Just Because Linky Party!
Thanks for dropping in~
Hugs and Blessings!
