Paper Sweeties July Inspiration Challenge #21

Hello friends! It's time for another Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge. The Sweeties team is ready for you to join in and celebrate with us. This month's theme is Patriotic Prints.  We want you to be inspired by the colors and the photograph.
 Paper Sweeties products used
I started the card with a Kraft cardstock base. I then added some patterned papers from my random scrap pile and added a bit of cream paint for a vintage touch. I stamped Happy from Occasions onto a banner and added to the upper left corner. 4th of July was added in red ink to the bottom right corner and can be found in the Happy Everything stamp set. A vintage Bingo card was added along with some stitched stars. Finally a length of red twill ribbon was tied around the card front embellished with a button and baker's twine.
That wraps this up for me. Now hop along and see what the other gals created!

Wishing you the luckiest...

Good Saturday Morning to you!

{So honored that Jill at Every Day is An Occasion featured this card. You can read it here}

I have a St. Patrick's Day card to share with you today. I just didn't get a chance to make and send St. Patrick's Day cards this year. I know not many send cards for this occasion, but I always try to. Since my recovery, I have been playing catch up on other things and design team assignments. I am still going to PT and I usually don't feel so crafty or great after that workout. :-( This number I am sharing today won't get mailed, but will be hand-delivered, so here is my last minute throw together!

I seriously just dug through my snippet/scrap pile which is ridiculous because I refuse to throw out a single piece since I can always use the smallest paper for anything. Case in point, the buckle on the hat. I try and use up my scraps first  if I can for most of my projects before cutting into something new which in the end does nothing but make more left-over scraps! :-)))
I used a brand new set that was just released from My Creative Time: I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp Set and Coordinating dies.

Inspiration for this card was found at ColourQ
I am going to share additionally at: Just Be Creative - March Linky Party, Sunday {Fun}day - March Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, D.L. Art - March Linky Challenge, Die-cuttin Divas - Luck of the Irish.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend. I will be back tomorrow with another post for Paper Sweeties.
Happy Crafting!

God Bless America and Giveaway Winners!

Hi all!

{I am honored! This was a Top 3 Feature at Link Up Tuesday on 7/9/13 and Beyond honored again to have this as recognized at ColourQ Queen on 7/23/13}

I am sorry that I am just now getting around to the Giveaway Winners for the Etsy Shops.  I have been away, and didn't get a chance to post while away.

First I thought I would share a Patriotic Card with you that I created.

I created this card with pieces leftover from another patriotic make. I added some embellishments I have had in my stash for a couple of years. I believe they are from K & Company. I created a fussy Patriotic seam binding bow which I embellished with a Carved Wood Shanked Button from Craftpon Etsy Shop. I used a Memory Stick Pin by Tim Holtz to embellish the bow with a coordinating star embellishment!
I used God Bless America Sentiment from DeNami Design which has been stamped in red ink.

I am also joining in at: Moxie Fab - Mixy-Matchy Challenge,  Funday Friday Challenge - Let Freedom Ring, D.L. Art Thankful Thursday 112 - Patriotic, Paper Playtime - Red, White, and Blue, An Inky Situation Linky Party - Anything Goes, Sunday {Fun}day - Linky Party, Link It Up Tuesday - Linky Party, Colourq 196- Color Challenge

Oh my, this is gorgeous. I loved the color combo & the pretty papers you used. But I 'especially' loved the cameo embellie. Cameo's are so vintage and evoke a feel of a by-gone era (to me anyway). They are simple in appearance, yet so classy & elegant. Gracious, I'd love to win something like this. Let me see if I can! TFS such a beautiful card! Hugs
Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget that you still have some time to shop at both Etsy shops using the 20% off!

Making my stash work for me!

Hello~

I have a little card for you today! I totally shopped the deeps of the stash on all this. I continue to try reduce, reduce reduce reduce. Sure doesn't seem to be going anywhere. *wink*
I started with a Kraft Brown cover weight cardstock onto which I added my textured patterned paper joined with my white embossed Whisper White cardstock.  Where the pieces joined I added some beautiful lace trim that was in my stash that I picked up at an Etsy store, but is now closed. I wrapped a beautiful length of aqua gross-grain ribbon around the card front and tied in a bow and embellished with a red button, pearl, twine, and a tag with a Hello greeting stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
A die-cut embellie by K & Company was added to the right of the card. I have a stack of these waiting to find a home! :-) Finishing touches include adding some beautiful flowers to the lower corner and pretty pearls scattered about!

Inspiration for this card was found at the following:
Papercraft Star - Make a "Hello" card.

My Craft Spot - Flowers
Shopping our Stash - Use Old Paper
Crafty Steals Blog - Use Your Spring Stash - Flowers (K Company Die-Cut and flowers on card)

Thanks for looking!

Merry Christmas with Merry Monday

Hi!

I snuck in some crafty time just for fun! I have really missed playing along with the Merry Monday and Colourq challenges, so this week was the perfect time to combine them both.

For the month of July, Merry Monday's challenge you can use any past Merry Monday sketch. Here is my card using a Merry Monday Sketch and the colors at Colourq.
All of the stamps are from Crafty Secrets Vintage Christmas except the sentiment which is from DeNami Designs.
I adore this Father Christmas image that comes in the set. I used Vintage Sepia ink on Kraft to complete the vintage feel.  I punched a snowflake out of some black with white polka-dot patterned paper and added it to a pretty glittered flower embellishing with a dew drop and twine.
Here is the sketch I chose to work with.
Here are the Colourq colors.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Graduation Day!

Hi!

I am running on fumes trying to finish up some cards that need to go out in the mail. We are running full speed with outdoor time summer activities plus the regular scheduled activities that keep this taxi driver Mom busy! Less and less crafty time...and less and less blogging time. I expect my posts will be rather short

We received another graduation announcement, so off to the craftroom I go.  I saw the colors this week on the Colourq blog and really liked them, so I used that as my jump start source of inspiration.
On the left portion of the card front, I stamped my own patterned paper using PTI: Rosie Posie. The right side is using some fabulous patterned paper from Cupcake Cards and Gifts called Last Summer.    The sentiment die was created using Happy Day Stamp Set. Buttons and twine are added for a finishing touch!

Here is the Colourq Colors where I found my color inspiration.
Sorry to keep this so short! I expect that's how most my post will be for awhile.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hello

Is everyone ready for the Easter Bunny to stop by? Not so sure this house is, but we'll be ready one way or the other...so much going on this weekend.

I have a card to share with you today and hold on to your hats...there's no seam binding on this one. :-)

I knew I wanted to create something different, so I started this card by stamping "stems" using Mint Motif's Beyond Borders in PTI Simply Chartreuse and "flowers" using WPlus9 Mehndi Medallions in Stampin' UP!; Peach Parfait, Momento; Angel Pink, and Momento; Dandelion onto Whisper White cardstock.  I rounded the corners using a Corner Chomper cloud punch and inked the edges with Camomile tea stain. I took a length of PTI Simply Chartreuse twill ribbon and wrapped it horizontally around my Whisper White cardstock leaving some length off at the ends which was tied off with some twine and embellished with a button.
A sentiment from Wilson Designs Everything's Owlright was stamped in Stampin' UP! Peach Parfait and mounted onto the card front.  The focal panel was then mounted onto a Kraft card base using foam mounting tape.

Color Inspiration for this card came from Colourq131.
I found my layout inspiration from the April Sketch at Create
Photobucket
The Pink Elephant  - Clean and Simple
I'm excited to share that this card was featured in CREATE's Easter CARD's Challenge Gallery.

I always appreciate your visits and sticking with me through my shares. I hope you have a great and fantastic start to your Easter Weekend!
