Candy Cane Chickie Christmas Treat Packaging {DeNami Design}

Good Friday Morning!

I have a Sweet Treat to share with you using one of DeNami Design New Release stamps Candy Cane Chickie. I think it's a cutie....how about you?

Here is my project:
I used the CB400 Clear Boutique Boxes that come 10 to a pack that DeNami sells. I filled them with Red and Silver Hershey Kisses!  I added a length of red grosgrain ribbon around the box vertically and secured with hot glue.  Next I used a Tim Holtz snowflake Rosette die to create my focal point for the treats.
The real treat is our new friend Candy Cane Chickie which I stamped inside a snowflake. After I colored him in with Copics, I used the Quickie Glue Pen to add Blue Ice Glitter to his hat and the edges of the snowflake to give it some winter shimmer. Once dry he was secured to the center of the rosette and added to the treats.

There you have it....ready for gift giving this season. They are inexpensive to create...and easy to mass produce.

DeNami Baseball Chickie -Kyles Kamp Kick Off

Hey friends,

Last week, I shared a card on the DeNami blog, and if you missed it here it is.

I stamped the Retro Border at a diagonal in the center. Then I stamped the Demi Dot Circle Frame inside a white circle.  Next I added the Birthday Wishes circle followed by adding the Baseball Chickie from the All Star Chickies Stamp Set.  I colored the cutie with colored pencils and mineral spirits. I added the circle layers to a star and placed in the center of the card. I added a blue scallop border to the top and added texture by using the Stars Embossing Folder. Lastly, I added a little tab in the lower right corner stamping a baseball from the Sports Balls Stamp Set in the center in white ink.

Tonight is the opening ceremony for the Kyles Kamp Baseball Tournament my son will be participating in this weekend.   It will be held at the Washington Nationals Park. You can read about it here.  If you are lost as to what I am talking about, you can read my original post here, Life Behind Home Plate.

Tomorrow bright and early our kids will take the field in a Wood bat tournament (something these kids are not use to batting with) to raise money for pediatric cancer care and research. Thank you so much to those who have reached out and supported my son and his team. It goes to a wonderful cause!  My family has been touched by your support. My son gave me a message to share. "Thank you for helping me help other kids."

As it stands, they will have two games on Saturday, and one for sure on Sunday.  So if you get a moment, send some positive vibes for my little ballplayer and his teammates as they play a little baseball in the name of a boy, Kyle,  who is a cancer survivor and those who are fighting everyday!

I thought I would share this card at Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, Just B Creative Crazy - May Linky Party.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

DeNami Salon Chickies Congrats Card

Last week I shared a bright and colorful card on the DeNami blog showcasing Salon Chickies.  I thought it would be cute to make a card to be given to someone graduating Cosmetology School. We don't want to forget about them as we start thinking about graduations.

Wouldn't this be darling?  I used a sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp set. The yellow cardstock is embossed using a Chevron Embossing FolderA length of aqua and green ribbon was added to the left side of the card front which was embellished with a Lucky Green Boutique Button. A few sequins were added to complete the embellishing touches.

I am going to share at Simon Says Stamp: Winged Things, Just B Creative - April Linky Party.

That's it for me today.

Happy Stamping!

Hi There!

The DeNami design Team is featuring the stamp Irish Chickies today. The stamp we are spotlighting today will be given away to one lucky commenter, so don't forget to leave some love to each of the gals at the end of this post.

I started with a Kraft cardbase onto which I added a piece of black cardstock and distressed the edges. Next I layered a slightly smaller piece of green polka-dot patterned paper also distressing the edges. In the upper right corner, I added the sentiment. For visual interest, I added some kraft and black patterned paper to the card front. Emerald and White Baker's Twine was wrapped around the patterned paper anchored with a lucky green button.
I stamped the Irish Chickies inside a white circle which I colored using Copics adding a thin piece of stripped ribbon and the green polka-dot patterned paper to the bottom of the circle. Finishing touches include adding more buttons to the focal point.
Go check out what the other ladies created with this stamp and don't forget to comment for your chance to win this stamp!

Back To School Chickie!

Hi there!

I am continuing on with the Back to School trend on my blog this week! Today actually marks the first day for the kiddos in my area! It's an exciting and yet nervous time as they get the new year off to a start.

It's my turn to share a card today on the DeNami Blog and as I have just spoke of I have a card inspired by this exciting time of year!

As you can see, I kept the design simple which makes it easy to duplicate to make a set of note cards for yourself, or perhaps your child's teacher. I am pretty sure this would be a hit either way!

Quick packaging for a small Teacher Appreciation gift!

Hello friends!

We are winding down the end of Teacher Appreciation Week.  I have a quick post on easy packaging for a small little gift.

I started by stamping the adorable Back to School Chickie and colored it in using Copics. Next I die-cut the image and it's frame from patterned paper. I added a length of Red Graph Washi Tape across the upper portion of the Glassine Bag.  All that is left is to create a bag topper from patterned paper and attach the sweet chickie to the front. Viola, quick and easy and pretty darn cute! The teacher will feel pretty extra special that you created a sweet little package for them.

All supplies shown other than the patterned paper, dies, and gift are available from DeNami Designs.

Be sure to check out DeNami Designs and all their fabulous products for your crafting needs!

I am joining in at DL Art Linky Party - Anything Goes! Creative Craft Challenges2 - All about Animals.

Hello~

{This is my second post of the day..For The Kraft Journal Crimp and Fold Challenge You can click here.}

Welcome to Day 2 of the DeNami Designs 2013 Spring Release Sneak Peeks! Teammate, Emily Keaton, and I will be giving you a little sneaky peeky sampling of some of the new Chickie Stamps to be released January 10th.

DeNami is known for their Chickie Stamps and this release is no exception in total Chickie Cuteness.

So let's get started with the peeks!  My first project features the new Cupid Chickie which is nestled inside of the F185 Love Circle and I53 Medium Dot Circle.  Hugs & Kisses is a new sentiment to be released and I have layered it on a Gingham Background which is actually  a new background stamp to be released!!!! You will notice it at the bottom of my card as well! LOVE IT!!! And WHO doesn't love Washi Tape??? The Red and White Heart Washi Tape in the DeNami Design store is perfect for your Valentine projects!
My next card features Shamrock Chickies.  Are they not adorable?  The Polka Dot Butterfly you see in the background has been stamped using Versamark ink for a tone-on-tone appearance.  I took a length of melon twine from the Summer Pack and wrapped it around the card front and tied off in a double bow.
My final creation will bring you right into Easter and features the Hatching Chickie Border. These little cuties are playful and would put a smile on anyones face.   Just below the Hatching Chickie Border, I added the Spring Greetings sentiment which will be part of the new release.
I hope you have enjoyed my little sampling of sneak peeks for the new Chickie line. You will want to see the crafty goodness Emily has for you.
