Paper Sweeties Release Day and Thank You to Cath at Moxie Fab

Hello Friends,

Since the holidays are a busy time for everyone, Debbie, owner of Paper Sweeties, has decided to release the stamps and coordinating dies for the November release TODAY! The Design Team will be sharing their creations at the regular schedule time, but no waiting till the 15th this month to purchase~

Yay...However, I have a set of tags using 3 of the 4 new stamp sets to share today! So I will be giving you an early peek.

I am also rolling this in with a Special Blog Hop going on today for Cath at Moxie Fab World who will be "retiring" at the end of the month from her position as Editorial Contributor at Paper Crafts Magazine.

If you are following along the hop, you should have arrived from the talented Kristi Schurr

I  am inspired as many of you are with her fabulous post on MFW. It was this post, that made me think about taking the time to create more of my own gift tags for the upcoming Christmas Holiday. I always run out of time during the busy season, so I don't make many. I was also inspired by tags that Emily Leiphart made I am not sure when. (sorry)  I just filed it in my memory as wow, those are cute and in my case, what a great way to use up some leftover paper pieces I ALWAYS have hanging around.

So here are my Christmas Tags I made today using the New Release from Paper Sweeties:
I used:
The beauty of clear stamps is being able to shape the sentiments in an arch as I have done in 4 out of the 5 tags.
This release include 4 holiday stamp sets
3 holiday dies
1 holiday release bundle
all live in the shop as of today.

Well, I hope you check out the new goodies at Paper Sweeties as well as the fabulous hop in Cath's honor at Moxie Fab World
You're next stop on the hop is: Wida Miller
I am also sharing at Just B Creative - November Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything GoesSunday {Fun}day - November Linky Party, Little Red Wagon - Christmas Tags.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy World Card Making Day!

How does a girl who is an avid card maker not post on WCMD?  Well, she's a sick pup for one with a long list of things that have to be accomplished before house guest to arrive this week. This girl almost didn't think she was going to be able to have anything to post today.

Well, I hope you will understand if I am not chatty with my usual design details today.  I wish I could have spent the day crafting, but I couldn't.  My heart went with the Paper Smooches challenges which is partnering up with Operation Write Home. That of course is near and dear to my heart. You had to use pink on your card somewhere because it's breast cancer awareness month...another thing that hits close to home for me. So it made my choice very easy!

The Owl from Chubby Chums was fussy cut then happily colored in with water-colored pencils and mineral spirits. Inspired by the Hello challenge at Moxie Fab, I paired the Hello from Chit Chat with I adore You from  Good Gab

The bottom layers are rolls of various washi tape I had that picked up colors in the plaid patterned paper.

Here is the sketch to follow:

A simple little card for a wonderful cause at Operation Write Home!

I am also adding this over at Papercraft Star - Anything Goes!

Thinking of you - Ten Minute Craft Dash

Hello~

{WooHoo - So Honored that this was the Winner of the 10 Minute Craft Dash - Thank you ladies}

Sneaking this on quickly!

I took a break from doing various DT projects to participate in the 10 Minute Craft Dash, but I used my husband's computer to pull up the page today because it was handy and I forget how different the monitors are. So, I hope it's a pass that the blue is a deeper turquoise. :-)

This project was started with a Lunch Bag Kraft Cardbase. Taking a panel of Whisper White I stamped the peacock from WPlus9 Magical Moments and paired a sentiment from Mehndi Medallions.  The red paper is from my snippet pile using the Upper Crest Border.  A Ric Rac border was made from Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock and added to the center of the red patterned paper. After last week, I didn't learn my lesson with twine and time. I wanted to add some twine, so a length of red baker's twine was added however it kept wanting to roll away and almost cost me my time!!!
Total time for this slow stamper was 9 minutes and 36 seconds
Since I am the slooowwwest crafter ever...I have enjoyed this push to step out of my comfort zone and create differently and FASTER. I seriously start sweating at the 8 minute mark. (Thank you twine)

If you have 10 minutes you should give it a try! Check out the deets here

Playing in the playground again at Pixie's! All snippets used here!  Moxie Fab World - Thinking of You Challenge

That's it for me tonight. I have a few more things to work on before I crawl into bed. Another long day tomorrow and that alarm will be going off before I know it.

Shabby Garden Birthday Card

Hello~

I hope you all are doing well. Not feeling a 100%, but sharing a card I made but have not posted yet.  The weather has not been very sunny, so my pics are not great. I have tried a couple of times to reshoot. I guess I am just gonna role with it.
I used a variety of pretty things to create this card. I had a die-cut from K & Company in my stash with some pretty flowers and a sweet scripted saying that I thought was the perfect look for this card.

Lots of doilies, pearls, buttons and lace Oh my. Oh yes, and Roses too!
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping All Year Wishes II.

I hope you enjoyed this shabby birthday card. I was inspired by The Shabby Tea Room - Garden Party.

Hi!

(**Woohoo I am thrilled to share this card made Top Three at The Kraft Journal 5/29/12)

Hope your Monday is off to a great start!

With Memorial Day Coming up, I have a patriotic card to share today! I am an Army Wife, so Memorial Day has a special meaning to me. Now that we live close to Washington D.C., it is wonderful to be able to go all the memorials for the different Wars as well as Arlington National Cemetery and reflect and show respect to those have who have served and sacrificed.

Here is my card:

I started with a Kraft card base and added my pieced patterned papers from my stash.  Some lace trim was added.  A postal tag was hand-cut and stamped with a postal Image from IBS Vintage Postcards and some stars from an old Stampin' UP! set called stars and swirls. Another tag was created to tie with the seam binding for a sentiment Thanks for your service by My Pink Stamper. My focal image was stamped on kraft cardstock in Vintage Sepia ink and mounted on cream cardstock trimmed with pinking shears.
For a finishing touch, some buttons and a red glittered star was added.
My inspiration for this card comes from The Kraft Journal - Remembering You and

DeNami Designs Pretty Pastels Blog Hop

**I am thrilled that this card made Top 3 at The Ribbon Reel 5/28/12**

So glad to have you along on the DeNami Designs Pretty Pastels Blog Hop.  You should have arrived from Jane's blog...if not and you just wondered in you can begin here.
Here is my creation for the blog hop!

First I am going to apologize for the dark photograph, it has not been the best of weather this week. This card was started with stamping the Elegant Floral Arch in Stick Candy ink by repeat stamping at the top of the card as well as the bottom of the card. Some patterned papers were pieced together in the center potion of the card front adding some beautiful trimmings.

A butterfly was die-cut from a recycled cereal box which was then embossed, painted, and sanded.
This butterfly was embellished with a crotched mat and paper rose. A fussy seam binding bow was tied and embellished with a button just above the butterfly.

A hand-cut banner was created to host the Thinking of You sentiment. For a finishing touch some paper roses and pearls were added to complete the look of this pretty pastel treat!

Thanks for hopping along today! Remember to leave a comment along the way on each participant's blog to be eligible for a mini shopping spree from DeNami Designs. 2 very lucky commenters will win $20.00 gift certificates.  You have until  May 21, 2012, 11:59 PST to leave comments on all the blogs to be eligible for the gift certificates.

Your next stop is the super talented: Dana Seymour

I am personally adding this to The Ribbon Reel Challenge - Spring Colors using DRY EMBOSSING plus

May Every Sunrise Hold More Promise

Hello Lovelies!

**I am thrilled to share that this card was chosen as Papercraft Stars Runner Up and given the Quasar Award as well as The City Crafter's Spotlight Artist**

I have a quick share for you today inspired by a few challenges that gave me the opportunity to play with some new goodies from Inspired By Stamping and Authentique.  Gray and yellow is a popular combination right now from papercrafting to Home decor, so I thought I would join in. :-)))
I started out with a Whisper White Card base and pieced together my pattern papers from Authentique.   Some crochet trim was added and a doily was hand-dyed and stamped with an image from  Inspired By Stamping - Paris  The doily was then embellished with a variety of buttons around the image which was inspired by Cheryl. :-)

A spellbinders Label 3 was die-cut and stamped with the complimentary Fancy Labels 3 adding an encouraging sentiment from Amazing Inspirations.   Three roses were added to the upper right corner for a finishing decorative touch!

I found inspiration from The City Crafter Challenge - Sketch
Papercraft Star - Gingham or Checks
Moxie Fab - Gingham and Moxie Fab - Doilies and Lace
I hope you have a Fantastic Friday!

Follow Your Bliss

Hey there!

I have a fun little card to share and a bit clean from my usual style of late. I had a little fun with my oval punch and created this flower using some gingham papers in my stash! :-)))
I was further inspired by the sketch over at Mojo Monday.  I substituted the circle for the bloom I created  and added the hand-cut banner at the bottom with a sentiment from Inspired By Stamping Inspiring Sentiments.
The butterfly was punched and embossed and some bling added to the center!
The color inspiration comes from The Paper Players
And Papercraft Star: Gingham or Checks
Moxie Fab: Gingham Challenge

So there you have it, nothing fancy but a little fun with an encouraging sentiment!

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
