2016- Happy New Year {The Kraft Journal}

Hello Friends!

This is a bitter sweet post for me! I've been with The Kraft Journal a few years and The Kraft Journal has decided to close it's doors, but The Kraft Outlet remains open. They have been wonderful to me over the years and they are very FAMILY focused and have been a dream to design for. 2016 also will be a new beginning for me as I decide to head back to school and I will find less time to craft myself in the coming year as I concentrate on school.

So for my last care in 2015 and for The Kraft Journal,
I began this New Year's card with a card base of Brown Kraft cardstock. I pieced together patterned papers from a designer paper pack and joined them by wrapping around a length of Natural Twill Tape and tying in a bow further embellishing with a double bow made from Black Baker's Twine which I topped with an Icon Flatback
Using Buff Ivory Cardstock, I cut a rounded stitched rectangle using a die and distressed edges with inks. I cut out 2016 from Blackboard Stockpaper adding to the rectangle embellishing with three black gems followed by stamping Happy New Year in black ink. Lastly, I die-cut an arrow and popped it up facing the year.  All other stamps and dies are by My Creative Time

It truly has been wonderful designing for The Kraft Journal using fabulous products for The Kraft Outlet the last several years.

Trendy Twine - Thanks

Good Sunday Morning to you!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

I am over on the Trendy Twine Blog today. It's a little bare under the tree, and it's time to think about thank you notes to show appreciation for those thoughtful gifts. I have one to share today featuring Candy Cane Trendy Twine.
I started with a red card base and then pieced together two patterned papers from my stash.  I took a length of Candy Candy Trendy Twine where the papers met.
Next, I die-cut a tree from patterned paper and trimmed it with some more Candy Candy Trendy Twine adding to the left side of the card front by adhering with foam adhesive. I stamped my sentiment adding a Candy Candy Trendy Twine triple bow to the top.

Trendy Twine - Tis The Season

Good Morning!

I am over on the Trendy Twine Blog today sharing these cute tags I created which I trimmed out using Candy Cane Trendy Twine

A quick and easy gift is to fill some festive goblets with some yummy chocolates (I used Hershey Kisses here) and put in a cute celo bag and dressed up with a darling tag which I added to a red satin bow.
I layered a tag and used Candy Cane Trendy Twine to trim the edge of the tag.  I used the Create A Critter Cartridge at 2 1/2 to cut the Penguin. The sentiment is also from the same cartridge. It makes a cute little gift for a neighbor or hostess.

Love & Happiness {The Kraft Journal}

Good Monday to you!

We have a Take Your Pick challenge at The Kraft Journal this week. I chose snowman, green, glitter, and ribbon. I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock where I added a rectangle layer of green and white snowflake patterned paper to the center.

Next, I took a length of red seam binding ribbon and wrapped it around the left side of the card front making a fussy bow adding in some white seam binding, A bow was made of Red Baker's Twine which was embellished further with a green button and layered as a topping to the ribbon treatment.

I die-cut a circle from white cardstock and stamped the sweet little snowman from Peachy Keen Stamps directly to the circle next paper piecing the hat and scarf adding a touch of glitter to the hat. I added three black pearls for buttons.  I stamped the sentiment (My Pink Stamper) in black ink. For a final embellishing touch, I placed a few enamel dots on the card.

Here is your choices for The Take Your Pick:

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Take Your Pick creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Trendy Twine - Holiday Gift Candy Tin

It's my turn to share a gift giving idea with you on the Trendy Twine blog today.  I am showcasing the Candy Tin, but not using it for candy. :) This is the season of gift gift giving.
I took some pictures to show you how I started out. I added some adhesive to a gift card and stuck it in the bottom of the tin to hold the gift card in place.
 Next I added a festive bar of handmade soap on top.
If you are not a crafty person or limited on supplies this alone makes an adorable way to give a gift card and gift as you see below, but it's always fun to dress up further of course. :)
I trimmed it out with Candy Cane Trendy Twine adding a triple bow to the corner embellished with a red gem to the center.

Snowman tag

Hello Friends!

I have been invited to an ornament exchange tomorrow, so here is the cute tag I made to go outside the gift bag. I think it turned out pretty cute.:) I do love snowmen!
 I just felt like he was saying "Rejoice" with his little stick arms! :)
The Tag and Snowman are Silhouette files.  My papers are pieces leftovers from DCWV Christmas stack. The snowflakes are from My Creative Time. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.
I added some crinkled seam binding to the top and the amazing Candy Cane Trendy Twine (on sale) by the way which is embellished with a green button.

I am joining along at The Paper Players: Let it Snow

Be Jolly - {The Kraft Journal}

Good day to you!

This week at The Kraft Journal, we have a Santa or Snowman challenge.  I chose to design a card with Santa on it.

I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover weight cardstock onto which I added a piece of patterned paper that was still on my desk leftover from a previous Kraft Journal project. I took a white doily and cut it in half adding it to the bottom and top of the card front where I stamped Be Jolly (Paper Smooches) in black ink on the bottom portion.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out a Santa from white, blush, red, and Blackboard Stock Paper. After I assembled him, I popped him on the card front using foam adhesive for added dimension.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Santa or Snowman creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet Store.

I'm joining in at D.L. Art - Christmas Theme and Silhouette Challenges - Anything Goes.

Have a fantastic start to your week!
