Graduation Card

Good Morning!

It's been quite awhile since I got inky. Working and a child on three baseball teams has definitely put any crafting time on the back burner.

 It's that time of year...Grads, Dads, and Weddings!
I have always adored this little DeNami Designs Graduation Owl.  I colored with copics and fussy cut him and popped him in the middle of the DeNami Designs Graduation Circle. I created a background using Versa Mark ink and a few graduations stamps also from Denami Designs. You can find the sentiment from there as well.
I further embellished this card with some hemp twine laced with a green button (DeNami Designs) and a few sequins. The green cardstock was dry embossed to give the card some added texture.  All papers are using leftovers from my scraps box.

I am joining in the fun at: Crafting With An Attitude - Anything Goes, Always Fun Challenges - Dry Embossing, The Fairy and The Unicorn - Anything Goes, Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes, Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes, Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes, HIMCR - Super Scraps Saturday.

I hope you have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Trendy Twine - 2 x 2 Thanksgiving Gift Packaging

Hello!

It's my day to post over on the Trendy Twine Blog today, and I am featuring Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine and the 2x2x2 Kraft Boxes. They come 10 to a pack.  They are easy to assemble, and perfect for so many uses. How cute would these be as 3 dimensional place cards? You could put candy in them, or a small gift. I am going to use mine as a gift box.

 I trimmed the front of the box with Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine trying off in a double bow. I decorated the front with a cute stamped Turkey image.

I added some patterned paper lined with a complimentary scallop square to the top. I stamped Thankful for you in the center.

I added Natural Jute Ribbon to the back and sides of the box. I took Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine and embellished the jute ribbon adding a few buttons laced with more Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine.

 Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

TKJ - Happy Thanksgiving

Good Day!

We have a Thanksgiving challenge at The Kraft Journal this week. It's a good challenge to jump start those greeting cards and projects for the occasion.

I began my card using Buff Ivory Cardstock onto which I layered a stamped woodgrain panel made from Brown Kraft Cardstock. I added a panel of patterned paper to center adding a scallop border to the top and bottom of that decorative paper. I die-cut a circle tag from Brown Kraft Cardstock and stamped the Cornucopia image and Happy Thanksgiving greeting  (both DeNami Design) to the center coloring in with copic markers. A button laced with Earthy Hemp Cord anchored a brown grosgrain ribbon to the top of the tag.
Lastly, I added a sunflower and fall leaves to the bottom part of the tag to complete this Thanksgiving Greeting.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Thanksgiving creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a great week!

Trendy Twine - Have a Wicked Halloween

Hello Friends!

Hope you are having a wonderful day this fall morning! I am over on the Trendy Twine blog sharing a project with one of the featured twines this month.

Let me get started...I have created a cute little treat set.
I made a scalloped circle card and layered by nesting some circles inside using the coordinating spiderweb Halloween paper as seen on the Mini Coffee Cup.  I trimmed the top circle layer with Halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine.  I die-cut a witch hat and legs and added to the front...stamping a cute sentiment to complete the card.
For the darling Mini Coffee Cup, I started with some fun spiderweb Halloween paper, circle dies and a cute Halloween Candy Embellishment which I layered and added to the front of the cup.   I took Halloween Orange Licorice and wrapped it around the top of the lid three times and tied in a triple bow.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
Orange Licorice Trendy Twine
 Other Products Used
Wicked Fun Dies - My Creative Time
Bunch of Fun Circle Dies - My Creative Time
Trick or Treat sentiment - DeNami Design
Paper - DCWV
Candy Embellishment - Martha Stewart

I hope you enjoyed this set today and will stop by Annie's Paper Boutique to pick up some goodies for your Halloween projects.

Treacherous Treats

Happy Friday!

{Happy and Honored to have this card selected as a Design Team Pick at Can You Case It on 10/17/15}

As my blog has been pretty quiet for quite sometime, life continues to roll along and I find less and less time in my crafting space, but I managed to get in there to make another Halloween card. This year, I don't have the stock to pull from to mail cards as I have in years past.

Being in a time crunch, I neglected to get the twine out of the way of my tag when I photographed, so please forgive. :-) I also didn't fluff up my bow. Didn't notice till I sat down to write the blog.
This card I used ALL leftover pieces with the exception of the Halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine.  That candy corn grosgrain ribbon I have had for years, and that was the very last piece that barely fit across the center of my card. I never throw anything away. Eventually it finds a home. :-))) I have a ribbon toss pile that I put all my left over pieces, so I will sometimes just rummage through till I find what I want and give a final home to some leftovers.
Products used
Halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine - Annie's Paper Boutique(on sale)
Orange Licorice Sequins - Annie's Paper Boutique

I am going to share this card as well at: Can You Case It: Halloween Edition.

The Kraft Journal - Take Your Pick - Halloween

Good Monday Morning to you!

Our challenge this week at The Kraft Journal is Take Your Pick where you get to pick at least three items from the chart below. This week I choose: Baker's Twine, Die-Cut, Pumpkin, Glitter, Buttons, Stamped, Black. I lacked the tag or I would have incorporated all the choices.
I began my card with a card base made from Blackboard Stock Paper.  I layered a piece of Orange and Black patterned paper adding to that a layer cut from Vintage Dictionary Pages. In my stash, I had a Halloween Journal card which I placed over the Vintage Dictionary Page.  Using a scrap of Blackboard Stock Paper, I die-cut a star adding to the center. I then stamped a Jack-O-Lantern and dotted circle border image to the center of a circle die-cut made from Buff Ivory Cardstock which I framed with a scallop circle created from orange cardstock. I added some iridescent glitter to the Jack-O-Lantern image.  (which disappointingly is not showing up well here)
After I was done giving Mr. Jack a touch of glitz, I added the prepped focal image to the center of the black die-cut star. I stamped Halloween on a banner created from Buff Ivory Cardstock and used an Orange Wooden Clothespin to hold it in place. Next I had some fun with Orange Baker's Twine by adding a tiny double bow to the top of the focal image as well as playfully adding it to the right side of the card front.  Lastly, I added three black buttons to the bottom portion of the card.

Other Products Used
Stamps: DeNami Design
Buttons: Hobby Lobby
Patterned Paper: Reflections (no longer available)

Here is the Take Your Pick choices for this week's challenge.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Take Your Pick creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am also sharing at D.L. Art - Halloween.

The Kraft Journal - CAS Baby

Hello Friends!

It's Monday, and I am here with a new challenge for you over at The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog. This week we want to see your CAS - Baby Creations. Using items either found at The Kraft Outlet or using kraft cardstock.
I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Coverweight onto which I added some patterned paper from DCWV. Next I took a length of Yellow Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the card front several times just above the patterned paper. I took a Small Manila Shipping Tag and stamped a background of hearts (DeNami Design) in a light green ink. I stamped a cute giraffe (DeNami Design) using Buff Ivory Cardstock, colored him with copics, followed by fussy cutting and mounting him with foam adhesive to the center of the shipping tag. Next I took a length of pink satin ribbon and wrapped it around tying a fussy bow just to the top of the shipping tag adding a button laced with Natural Hemp Cord.
The Baby sentiment (DeNami Design) was stamped in black ink directly to the card base. For a finishing touch, I added three pink dew drops.

There you have it. I really reached into my stash of paper, ribbons and embellishments...

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your CAS - Baby creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

The Kraft Journal - CAS - Thank you!

I tried to keep the new challenge this week at The Kraft Journal CAS-Thank You, as clean as I could, but CAS is not the easiest challenge for me.

I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover weight cardstock onto which I added a navy star embossed layer. To the right, I stamped some baseballs (DeNami Design) using Versamark Ink onto a narrow Brown Kraft panel and added it to the right side of the card. I took a length of Red Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the right side of the card front and tied in a double bow where the papers meet. I die-cut the word grateful (My Creative Time) in red cardstock and added to the bottom of the navy star embossed panel.  I then used the Silhouette machine to die-cut the Washington Nationals Curly W which I placed on a die-cut layer.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your CAS-Thank You creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

So Tweet of You - {The Kraft Journal}

Hello There!

This week at The Kraft Journal the new challenge is Birds.  I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock which I layered pieced patterned papers together leaving the bottom of the A2 size card exposed to a thin space of Kraft.  In black ink, I stamped "So Tweet of you" (Wilson Designs) to the lower right corner. Next I took a Brown Kraft Tag and stamped small butterfly images (DeNami Design) in Versa Mark Ink to create a subtle background.

Once the stamping was done, I added Natural Twill Tape to the top of the tag next adding the prepped tag to the card front horizontally in the center. Next I took a Vintage Black Journaling Card that has a bird on it to the left of the card front.  I die-cut a decorative circle in gray cardstock adding a punched scallop circle from Vintage Dictionary Pages to the center. I used my Cricut machine to cut out the bird using the Wall Decor and More cartridge by cutting it out three times with Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and gluing them on top of the other to form a replica of chipboard. Next I cut the bird one more time from gray patterned paper and glued it to the top of the prepped chipboard piece adding it to the right of the decorative circle. In the center I added a multi-loop bow created from Earthy Hemp Cord adding a resin pink flower to the center to complete the card.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Bird creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Anything Goes - Spring {The Kraft Journal}

Good Day! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

For the challenge this week - Anything Goes Spring, I decided to make an Easter Card, and I built the card around an image that can be found in the Tim Holtz Seasonal Salvage Stickers which you can pick up at The Kraft Outlet. I added the image to a pastel blue die-cut I have had in my stash onto which I layered on a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag.  I stamped two sweet little easter eggs from DeNami Design onto the tag, adding a length of crochet trim at the bottom.

I then created a bow from Blush Hand Stained Bias Tape adding a bow and button laced with Pastel Blue Hemp Cord.  Next I took the prepped tag and placed it on the card front that consisted of pieced patterned papers and a card base of Brown Kraft Cardstock. Lastly I stamped the Happy Easter Greeting from DeNami Design in black ink onto the card face.

Make sure to head over to The Kraft Journal to see what the rest of the design team has created. We hope to see your Anything Goes - Spring creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Valentine Secret Cupid - {Trendy Twine}

The Trendy Twine design team did something a little different this year for Valentine's Day -- Secret Cupid.  Names were assigned to us and no one knew who had who.  We designed a card or tag and sent along a little treat to our assigned DT sister to make her Valentine's Day a bit more happy.  Today we are sharing our projects with you.

I had so much fun doing this for one of my Design Team Sisters. I hope you like my Valentine Gift Set~
I started with a red cardstock base and added an embossed layer of kraft cardstock. Next I added a few tickets to the bottom and then a length of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine was wrapped around three times and tied in a bow.  In the center of the card, I layered a double heart that was cut using my cameo. I then layered this onto a red heart doily. A few sequins were added for a touch of glam. A red and white seam binding bow was tied and added in the lower right of the heart embellished with Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine  bow, button, as well as a tag stamped With Love from DeNami Designs.
Next moving on to the tumbler.
Using my cameo, I used the same heart file from my card on the tumbler. I personalized this for Sukie by adding her name below the heart. I filled it with some yummy Hershey Kisses and a gift card.  Lastly, I tied a pink ribbon bow around the straw and topped it with another bow made of more awesome Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

So there is my Secret Cupid gift revealed. I hope you have enjoyed and like it as well.  Make sure you head over to the Trendy Twine blog to see the other Secret Cupid projects by these talented ladies! I know I am thrilled with my Secret Cupid Gift I received. Thank You Kimberly for making my day! I loved my gift! I have to say I am truly blessed to be on such an amazing and caring team.

I am also going to share at Cardz TV- Ribbon, The Pink Elephant - Be My Valentine, Paper Issues - Perfect Pairing, Jo's Scrap Shack - Valentine.

Vintage Valentine {The Kraft Journal}

Hey There Friends~

Good Morning! It's a new week and that means a new challenge at The Kraft Journal this week. Our theme is Valentines. I decided to go Vintage featuring products found at The Kraft Outlet
I started with a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock which I adhered to the heart patterned paper.  I used both Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and Buff Ivory cardstock to frame the darling focal image which comes from the Seasonal Salvage Sticker Pack. Just below, I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from WPlus9 in red ink.
Next, I took a length of Oatmeal Cream Hand Stained Bias Tape and wrapped it around the left side of the card front and created a fluffy bow which I embellished with a button laced with Red Baker's Twine and stamped images from DeNami Design onto a Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag.  Lastly I added a red heart stick pin for a special Valentine touch.
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Valentine creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

TKJ#202 Color Challenge - Christmas Wreath

Hello Friends~

Boy we sure are winding down and getting closer and closer to the big day! 10 days to be exact! Whew! Are y'all ready?

We have an inspiration photo with color challenge for you this week at The Kraft Journal.  Since it's such a busy time of the year, I kept my card fairly simply letting my electronic cutting machine do most of the work. Also makes it flat for mailing.

As previously stated in other post, I am leaving sentiments off the front so that I can have the option to use as a Thank You note after the holidays. I always need those, and when all the gifts are put away and decorations are down, it usually takes me awhile to get motivated again and find my mojo. This makes it easier on me in a few weeks having these cards complete, and all I have to do is write a note of thanks inside and send it on it's way.

Sorry for the dark photos...rainy dark day
I started with a base of Brown Kraft cardstock which I added an embossed layer of Buff Ivory cardstock.  Next I created two pennant banners and layered them on top of the other.  I used a sprig from DeNami Design Classic Christmas Stamp Set to create a random background on my top layer for a little more visual interest.
As mentioned, I used a file that I purchased from the Silhouette Store to cut my wreath.

Have a look at the inspiration photo provided by The Kraft Journal.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your "color challenge" creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am also sharing at Craftin' Desert Divas - Christmas Linky Party, Pumpkin Spice - Freebie Friday, Silhouette Challenge - Anything Goes.

Have a Fantastic week!

DeNami Designs Sponsors Stamp Nation

Hi there!

(I wanted to add that I have NOT turned on Word Verification and I checked my settings and it still says NO, so if anyone knows how to fix this please advise. This has been done by blogger and I have seen it on other blogs as well ugh....)

Ok....I just wanted to share a quick post to let you in on some fun... DeNami Design is joining Catherine Pooler of  Stamp Nation for a sketch challenge as their sponsor! I did not have a chance to get a sketch card put together as I was out of town, but I did have another card I would like to share in honor of this great collaboration.
I wanted to use one of DeNami Design's newest Christmas stamps Woodland Christmas. I used a little bit of sponging and watercoloring on this cutie patootie new stamp.
I choose to leave the sentiment off to give myself the option to either use as a Christmas thank you after the holidays or put a Merry Christmas message inside.

Here is the sketch for the cross promotion. {I am not sure why it says August, but it is the correct sketch}
Be sure to head over to both the DeNami and Stamp Nation sites to get all of the information needed for your chance to win!  DeNami is having 4 Giveaways and Stamp Nation will be having 2. You won't want to miss out!

If you get a chance, check out Catherine Pooler's video on the cute shaker card she made using some DeNami Design products!!!!

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you will join in the fun!
