Thankful for...{PSIC#30}

Hello There!

It's the first of the month, so that means I am kicking off a new project for Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge.  The inspiration is "Celebrate Mom" you can find the inspiration photo at the bottom of this post and on the Paper Sweeties Blog.

I began this card with a card base of Brown Kraft cardstock. I added some beautiful floral patterned paper to the base.  I die-cut an oval from Buff Ivory cardstock which I distressed the edges with ink.  I tucked a small doily under the oval die-cut before it was adhered down. I then wrapped a length of Raspberry Seam Binding around the card and tied in a bow which I embellished with a cream resin flower.

For the focal image, I used the Tea For Two Sweet Cuts which I built my own sentiment from You Are The Most Wonderful and Season of Love. Below the sentiment, I used a snippet of a velvet floral trim adding some Spring Peeps Sequins to the center of the flowers.

Sending Springtime Wishes {PSIC #29}

Hi Friends!

I am kicking off March with a Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge.

I know I could use some spring! I had little to no luck with natural light trying to get a good photograph. Ready for some sunshine!!! It's another day of Snow and ice here! March is coming in like an Ice Lion!

I started this card with a card base of white cardstock onto which I layered some aqua patterned paper found in my scrap box of leftovers. I added the striped paper to the center adding a punched border below it. I stamped and paper pieced the flower and pot adhering to the center of the layered circles. A sentiment greeting was stamped in black ink on a banner which was mounted with foam tape. Finally, a length of white crochet trim was added to the top of the card.

Paper Sweeties November Inspiration Challenge #25

Hello Friends!

Can you believe we are rolling towards the end of the year?  I blinked and 2014 just flashed by. Wow! Since it's the start of a new month, it means it's time for a new inspiration challenge at Paper Sweeties.  This month the theme is Holiday Joy!
I started this card by adding a piece of argyle print patterned paper down the center of a piece of red graph patterned paper onto which I added to my white card base.
The wreath from the Paper Sweeties set Noel was stamped in Tide Pool ink to the center of a circle tag die-cut.  I stamped the bow onto textured red patterned paper and fussy cut and added to the bottom of the wreath.  A sentiment from Paper Sweeties Make The Season Bright stamp collection was added to the center in Pure Poppy ink.

Finishing touches include a fussy bow, button, twine and pearl stick pins.

We hope you have a chance to get crafty and play along this month. If you don't have any Paper Sweeties stamps, just check out the free digital images that are available for download!!

Please be sure to stop by my teammates to see what they have to inspire your creative juices!

**Funny note, when I was working on this card, we lost power in our area, and I was determined to finish the card while my hot glue was still warm. Needless to say, it's not as easy to see what you are doing in the dark. For the love of Paper! **

Thank you for your visit! Have a Blessed day!

Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge #24

Hello and welcome to another Paper Sweeties Inspirational Challenge!!! The new theme for you this month is "Happy Fall".  I hope you will hop along with the Paper Sweeties Design Team as we share our inspiration from this months theme.
I started with a Pumpkin Orange card base and matted it with an embossed Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock  layer. I used my cameo to cut several fall leaves to layer behind my focal image. Prior to adding them to the card, I spritzed with Mister Huey's Pinstripe Mister and rumbled the up a bit.  The stamped images are from Paper Sweeties Give Thanks set.  I used a piece of Harvest Gold Hemp Cord to die a double bow and added it to card front for an embellishing touch.
Here is the inspiration photo!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT made.
We hope you will play along with us this month. If you don't have any Paper Sweeties stamps at the moment. Why don't you try one of their free digital images available for download?

PSIC September Challenge #23 - 'Pretty Pumpkins'

Happy September 1st!

{Honored that this was selected as the Winner at Scrapbook Blessings Club on 9/8/14)

It's been a busy weekend...especially here on my blog...be sure to check out the Trendy Twine Facebook Hop Post here, and the Trendy Twine Sneak here.

I guess this closes out the end of summer. I really am always sad to see it go and know cooler followed by colder weather will soon be on it's way.

A new inspiration challenge starts today at Paper Sweeties.   The theme is called pretty pumpkins using pinks and greens. I thought I would try something different this time, and make a pretty pink pumpkin for a packaging idea. I always like to work ahead on things, and since next month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and October is also known for pumpkins,  I thought it would be cute to package up a sweet gift to send to a survivor.
I had a little mason jar candle which I packaged up and tied a bow and added a die-cut tag from  Sweet Cuts - Beautiful Little Wishes. I stamped a sentiment from Life is a Special Occasion which fit perfectly inside this darling size tag.  The sentiment is absolutely appropriate for a cancer survivor!
I will just set my little gift inside my pumpkin and it will be good to go! Below you will find your color palette and inspiration! You have one month to link up your projects in the gallery. You could be the next winner and guest designer.

I started the card with a Kraft cardstock base. I then added some patterned papers from my random scrap pile and added a bit of cream paint for a vintage touch. I stamped Happy from Occasions onto a banner and added to the upper left corner. 4th of July was added in red ink to the bottom right corner and can be found in the Happy Everything stamp set. A vintage Bingo card was added along with some stitched stars. Finally a length of red twill ribbon was tied around the card front embellished with a button and baker's twine.
That wraps this up for me. Now hop along and see what the other gals created!
