Hi There!

I started with a Kraft cardbase onto which I added a piece of black cardstock and distressed the edges. Next I layered a slightly smaller piece of green polka-dot patterned paper also distressing the edges. In the upper right corner, I added the sentiment. For visual interest, I added some kraft and black patterned paper to the card front. Emerald and White Baker's Twine was wrapped around the patterned paper anchored with a lucky green button.
I stamped the Irish Chickies inside a white circle which I colored using Copics adding a thin piece of stripped ribbon and the green polka-dot patterned paper to the bottom of the circle. Finishing touches include adding more buttons to the focal point.
Go check out what the other ladies created with this stamp and don't forget to comment for your chance to win this stamp!

The Kraft Journal #160 - Sketch Challenge

Hello!

Are you ready for another fresh start to the week with a new challenge at The Kraft Journal?  This week we have a sketch for you to try.
I kept pretty true to the sketch, and it's sure nice to have a pattern to follow and easy enough to crank out quickly. I hope you will give it a try and link up with us this week.

I started with a base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock next adding a piece of patterned paper that has had the edges distressed.  I layered a piece of patterned paper vertically to the left portion of the card front next adding a length of Black Twill Tape which I wrapped around the card front and tying off in a bow which I then paired with a Pastel Hemp Cord bow embellished with a Custom Faster. Lastly, I added my stamped image from Waltzigmouse Stamps Blessed By You onto Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock.  I then added it to a scallop circle cut from Blackboard Stock Paper

Below you will find the sketch to join in the fun this week at The Kraft Journal
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Sketch Pattern creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am going to share at Just B Crazy - February Linky Party and Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes.

Have a wonderful week!

DeNami Inspired By...

Hi!

The DeNami Design Team is bringing you a new monthly presentation called "Inspired By" where each of the DeNami Design Team members create a card or project inspired by one of our DeNami customers.

This month we are inspired by Stacy from Sweethearts and Sweet Tarts! Please click on the link to see her original post.

I was inspired by the colors, and floral choice of stamps. I also rounded one of my corners. I love the layout of her card!

Here is what I have created:

I used DeNami Deisgn:
Fleur Di Lis Embossing Folder
Sending You Love sentiment
Thank You Stacy for inspiring me to use purple as it's not something I grab often. Please check out what the rest of the Design Team created today.

Thanks for popping by~

With Love

Hi Friends,

Last week I shared a card on the DeNami Design Blog, and today I can share the full card with you here.

I began with a red card base followed by adding some pieced patterned papers from my stash.  I took a length of red and white ribbon and created a loop at the top and laid down the center of the card. I snipped the bottom at the center for a decorative touch.

I matted a red die-cut circle onto a doily and placed in the center of the card front.  On black cardstock, I stamped the Heart Flower Trio and applied the Chalkboard Technique. A Spellbinders Label die was used to cut the image out. At the upper right of the card front, a sentiment banner was created using the same techinique. The sentiment is from the Love Sentiment Stamp set.

I am so glad you stopped by today!

The Kraft Journal #159 Die-Cuts

Hey there!

I hope this finds you all rested from your weekend and ready to start a new week! I am still recovering from a shoulder separation. I am taking it one day at a time.  I have a card to share with you for the new challenge at The Kraft Journal. Luckily this is another project I had completed prior to injury. Just had to have some help with photographing etc.

So for today's challenge at The Kraft Journal "Die-Cuts", I used 8 different dies and a total of 9 dies on the card. I love using die-cuts. They work beautifully with felt, and I incorporated that today.

I started with a Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock base. I covered the front of the card with patterned paper leaving a portion of the Kraft exposed for the sentiment.  I took a length of Natural Twill Tape and wrapped it around the card front tying in a bow adding another bow using Metallic Twist Hemp Cord finishing it off with a button.

I used a die-cut frame from Brown Kraft Cover Weight and used Buff Ivory Cardstock to die-cut a square with my stamped image to nestle inside the frame. Below the stamped focal image, I have die-cut a border from Buff Ivory Cardstock to place where the patterned papers join. I have taken several flower dies from my collection to create felt layered flowers embellishing with buttons and pearls.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your die-cut creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a wonderful day!

Paper Sweeties February Release Rewind

Hi there!

It's the last day of the Paper Sweeties February Inspiration, and the rest of the Design Team as well as myself are bringing you projects that mix some old with the new!

This month Paper Sweeties has come out with a matching sweet cut die to go with the Tea For Two stamp set.  I am still in a spring like mood as I continue on with the lighter colors.

I masked the center of the tea pot from Tea For Two and this allowed me to create my own sentiment using the You Are The Most Wonderful set.  A few little lovely trims and embellishments complete this card.

I hope you will visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they have created today!

Paper Sweeties February Day 1 Sneak Peek and update

Hi!

I wanted to edit in a personal note to update my bloggy friends what has been going on with me. I have been recovering from a shoulder separation as a result from an injury I received on the 31st of January. I have been immobile, so that is why I have not been around to visit and I have missed some postings. Luckily I had several projects completed ahead of time. It's been quite painful and was a scary experience as I hit head first and an ER visit with a slow recovery. I am grateful because the outcome could have been a lot worse. I am breaking free from my split to type this long paragraph before we get to the reason why you might be here today.

So Welcome to the kickoff of the February Paper Sweeties Countdown release where the design team shares peeks of brand new products set to be released on the 15th. All this winter cold and weather we are having has me really longing for spring, so I worked with a set called Welcome Spring.
I've started the card by pulling together papers that reminded me of spring. I stamped the focal image in green ink and colored the leaves in with copics. I am showing off two of the sentiments that come in the set.
Hope you stop by the rest of the design team to see what they have to share with you!

DeNami Flower Trio Sneak Peek

DeNami Product Spotlight - Solid Rose Accents Set

Hi There!

The DeNami design Team is featuring the Solid Rose Accents stamp set today, and I just adore it. It's a set that can be used for several occasions from Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Spring and Summer...the possibilities are just endless. You can add this fabulous stamp set to your shopping cart and receive a 10% savings for one week only.
This is pretty clean and simple (for me)! I didn't use one ounce of patterned paper {gasp} on this card today! I started by rounding the corners of white cardstock and randomly stamping the Solid Rose Accents images in the upper right corner.

Using a handy dandy heart punch, I stamped the rose and leaf images onto the heart adding a sentiment from the Love Sentiments stamp set. I added a Lucky Green Boutique Button with a tag containing a sentiment also from the Love Sentiments stamp set. I then punched a heart from textured burgundy cardstock and tucked it under the stamped heart.  All that is left is to add foam mounting squares to the pack of my stamped panel and add to the card base.

Go check out what the other ladies created with this stamp set.!

TKJ #157 - Here's My Heart

Hi and Good Monday Morning to you!

For this week's "Here's My Heart" challenge at The Kraft Journal, I created some fun valentine treats.
I started by cutting tube boxes using my Cameo out of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock. After I stamped and assembled them I moved on to embellishing. I made two paper rosettes adding embossed hearts on each. A red button was added to one which has been threaded with white Hang Tag String.  I decorated the back panels with different heart dies and punches in my collection till I found what worked best.

I stamped a sentiment from Close To My Heart Whooo's Your Valentine set and created a banner to wrap around the tube. I finished embellishing this treat tube with Red Baker's Twine.

This treat tube was embellished with Valentine ribbon from my stash, adding a white button to the center threaded with Red Baker's Twine.

So what do you think?  Fun and Festive little Valentine Treats.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Here's My Heart creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a wonderful day!
