DeNami Designs Color Challenge Meets Sketchy Sunday

Good Saturday Morning to you!

Sooooo, I needed a birthday card for an adorable little boy for friends of ours back in Hawaii, so I thought I would combine a twofer and create one adorable little card! J
First of all, I just Love this little guy! He is so fun and CAUTE! (that actually goes for the boy and the elephant stamp {wink})

I added some twine at the top with a button! The twine graduates in color from white to lime green! So fun!

That's it for me! I hope the little guy likes it, but if he is anything like most boys, they want the package!! J  Oh well!

Chick n Lil's Photo-Inspired Card Challenge

Hi Ya!

{Hi everyone!.....I'm back with my second post of the day! Please click here for my Off The Wall Craftiness DT Post.}

A couple of my blog friends have posted cards with inspiration from an absolutely stunning beautiful inspiration photo, so I followed along to Chick n Lil's Photo-Inspired Card Challenge

Pam's daughter (Chick n Lil) took this beautiful photograph and the challenge was to use it for inspiration.  My card above was my interpretation. Since I don't have all my stamps at my Mom's, I don't have a variety of images to play with, but I happened to recently purchase this stamp so it was a smart purchase already! (ha)  Also, thank you Laurel for my die cut ovals you sent because they came in handy! :-)

Talent sure does run in this family! All I can say is WOW!!!! Both Mother and Daughter! Go visit and grab a cup of Joe, you will like what you see! How I have not found Pam in blogland before now, I do not know.

I am also playing along with Tuesday Throwdown #37 - 3-D

I hope you have a wonderful day! It's finally Friday!
PS: I know the photo is not that great, but I took it at night!

A Polaroid Thanks!

Hi!

I have a quick little post today that plays along with Jay Gee's Nook challenge 4 and Sketchy Sunday! I also thought I would play along again at: Do You Stack Up: Dots

I Love this Polaroid Frame that Kim Wilson designed back in her November release Everything's Owlright. I decided to pull it out today for a quick thank you note using the inspiration from the above mentioned challenges.

I decided to flip flop the embellishment part of Tiff's sketch. My butterfly is from Wilson Designs Spring Silhouettes . I stamped it in Memento Pear Tart, fussy cut it, and then I sugar coated it with some beautiful glitter. That adorable little Owl is also from Wilsons Designs  Everything's Owlright.
Well, I hope you have a fantabulous weekend!

Off the Wall Craftiness 46

Hi-ya!

Well, another week is here and it's time for another Off The Wall Craftiness challenge.  This weeks sponsor is Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker.  Nikki Sivils has a darling line of scrapbook papers and they are also makers of clear stamps that match perfectly with their paper line. My card today uses two of their stamps lines, but click here to see a card I have made using Nikki Sivils coordinating papers and stamps.
The stamp sets I used to create my card came from Ellie's Day Out and Flaming Butterfly
Here is the color pallet and inspiration storyboard from which we worked with this week.  Kim would like you to use RED, Yellow, and  Turquoise

Thanks a Bunch! CR84FN15

Happy Thursday!

I have not had a chance to play at CR84FN yet, so I took some time today to pull out my Wilson Designs Stamp sets and put something together quickly since I need a Thank You note! My inspiration started with this butterfly punch I just recently purchased because I was enabled by my teammate Amy who encouraged me to go out and get it, so of course I had to do just that, and then I had to get the coordinating border punch! :-)

Lovely spring colors this week for their challenge, so that also inspired me to use my butterfly from Wilson Designs Spring Silhouettes. Also, a couple of the design team members used them, so it just kept coming back to me. One of my favorite things to do is create my own background paper with repeat stamping. Another favorite of mine is to stamp my sentiment over a focal image as I have done here.  My sentiment is from Wilson Designs Everythings Owlright. It's just an easy go to technique for a clean and simple design when you need a card quickly!

I punched three of those wonderful new butterflies out and then coated them with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I had some twine that graduates in color, so I spun some of that around for fun!

I am also playing along with the Paper Cutz Challenge 78 - Ladybugs, Bees or Butterflies, Crafts and Me Challenges - Spread Your Wings and Fly.

Hope you all are having a fabulous Thursday!

Thanks Play Date Cafe

Hi there!

Happy Day after Valentine's Day!

I am so behind in many thank you notes! Yesterday was my birthday, and I have many thank you notes to make to thank so many wonderful people in my life, so to get started I used the The Play Date Cafe colors as my inspiration!

I loved the vintage feel of this inspiration photograph!
The stamps I used were from DeNami Designs isn't that birdcage adorable along with that little chic!  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  I distressed the edges of my heart frame and I added crochet trim, seam binding, and rosebud flowers for some finishing touches!

Thanks for joining me today!

DeNami Designs Beautiful Buttons Challenge

For my DeNami Designs Blog Hop Post click here.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Really, who doesn't love buttons especially fun little heart shaped ones? It's just that time of year when you can't help but gush with giddiness with all the lovey dovey goodness everywhere. Okay, well maybe not everyone, but I for one love Valentine's Day it's my birthday, so maybe that has something to do with it. :-)
I pulled out my DeNami Designs Happy Valentine's Day sentiment and embellished the panel with an adorable glittered chipboard heart and a beautiful rosebud I also stamped and cut two of the hearts from the Hearts stamp set to nestle inside the frame on the front of the card. I just love the beautiful heart border to compliment the DeNami Stamps.  I wanted to embellish this beautiful Valentine button card just a little bit more, by adding just one more button to the center of my flower, and adding two more of those beautiful rosebuds on both sides of it.
(It's hard to see in this terrible photograph, but that is
beautiful white pattern paper layered on soft pink cardstock)
Thank you so much for taking a look at my DeNami Designs Button Creation today! I will also be playing along with the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #104 - Button Up challenge
I hope you have a wonderful day whatever you do today!

DeNami Design's: Beautiful Buttons Blog Hop

Hey there! Welcome to DeNami Design’s Beautiful Buttons Blog Hop! With all those BEAUTIFUL buttons out there I am sure you have been feeling inspired!  I am so glad you have joined me from the VERY talented Dana Seymour.  If you just joined in, no worries, be sure to start at the DeNami Design Blog so you don't miss one bit of beautiful button creative goodness!

When DeNami came out with their new products in January, I fell in love with this adorable Elephant! I mean how could you not!  It is so cute! My card also features the Small Baby Script which is so sweet and delightful! Keeping with the brown, cream and blue theme, I found three delicate little brown flower buttons and one larger cream flower button in a jar of buttons my friend sent me, so I added those to this sweet little baby card as accents.  (We have had some cloudy rainy weather here, sorry for the terrible photograph)

Normally, I would do a product list at the end of my post, but due to my temporary living situation, most of the items on my card were generously given to me by several different sweet friends! The reason for bringing this up is I would like the readers to know that DeNami has an awesome selection of buttons, and I do own a wonderful array of them (they just happen to be in a different location than I am...just a little bit of separation anxiety, but I will survive) but they are just so fun to create with on your projects! So, be sure to check them out you get a lot of button goodness for a great value!

Your next stop on this Beautiful Button Blog Hop is my very sweet and talented friend Amy Kolling.  This girl knocks me over with everything she creates and you won't want to miss what she has in store, but before you go don't forget to leave some comment love... You have until February 14, 11:59 PST to leave comments on all the blogs on the hop today (to be eligible for a prize). 2 very lucky commenters will win $20 gift certificates to DeNami Designs. How very FABULOUS is that???

Wait, I have some more news, if you felt inspired by all those beautiful buttons, there is an Extra Challenge to link up a project of your own. Check out all the fun details on the Denami blog!

Have a wonderful day!

Wilson Designs: Introducing Spring Silhouettes

Well, Hello there!
It's Wilson Designs release day! Yippee!
First up, I have a fun little project I created! I started with a little frame and some paint. I didn't like the green, so I "shabbied" it up with some Folk Art Vintage White paint.

I built my own sentiment greeting on this vintage tag I created. The glittered butterfly is also a silhouette from the set that I stamped in Momento grape ink, cut and covered in glitter! The frame and silhouette rabbit is also from this new line! So, there are 5 new stamps used on the frame! Fabulous!

I then decorated a regular grapevine wreath with some springtime goodies found at Michaels and Joanns. I used more of the wonderful seam binding from MemrieMare to wrap the wreath and tie a shabby little bow. I then hung the frame with some grosgrain ribbon from the back of the wreath. I really like how it turned out.
I love how simple yet elegant this card is. I distressed the edges to give it a weathered feel to match the seam binding which I must mention again I am in love embellishing with.  I stamped this adorable silhouette butterfly on my pattern paper and I stamped my sentiment over my image to create my focal point.  There are many more sentiments and images so go see for yourself:
Introducing: Spring Silhouettes

Wilson Designs: February Release Day 1!

It's time for the February Wilson Designs release to get underway.
Today I get to help introduce another wonderful
addition to Kim's stamp line.
This set is packed with versatile images and sentiments
perfect for spring, weddings, anniversaries but
you will find you can adapt this for everyday occasion as well!
You are only limited to your own creative possibilities!
Such as this lantern for example...
I wanted to create a table decoration to have a softer feel
than the harsh black. Never fear there
is always more than one way to achieve that goal if
it's not readily available. In my case, I used
spray paint! :-) What a glorious invention!
I created a tag to go on this table decoration
using two of the new stamps
in the new line! These would
make adorable decorations for a
wedding reception and the guest can take
them home at the end of the happy celebration.
BUT this image doesn't have to be limited to a wedding couple,
this could be used just as easily for any ball
or prom decorations.
If you are working on a budget, you can keep the trimmings simple
and the lanterns are inexpensive and adding
simple touches such as seam binding or ribbon with
a few embellishments will do the trick.
Once you stamp your tag you can personalize the back
with a message if you wish.
Next up is a blissfully special little card using two of the new
stamps from the new line and the frame
from Simply Silhouettes .  Simply elegant right?
As you can see, this set works so well with
The wonderful seam binding is from MemrieMare
I stamped the happy silhouette couple
in aqua mist and using a glue pen I sugar coated
them in aquamarine glitter!
Awww! Bliss!
Well, that is it for me today! Tomorrow, I will be back with some
more inspiration from this set to ALSO include a spring
goody besides a card! Remember for your chance
to win this new stamp set from Kim's new line
leave some love right here and go check out
the other Design Team creation blogs for
some wonderful inspirations using this set.

Hope your day is fabulous!
