Hi!

I have another card for you today to go with a few great challenges!

The color inspiration comes from Kim's Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge Blog! Once again another awesome inspiration photo collection!

The Sketch is from 2 Sketches 4 You. Laura's Sketch 57.

My card is also for:  Paper Play Challenge ~ Anything Goes and Stampin' Royalty ~ Keep It Simple, Sweetie (KISS)!

I {heart} anything fleur de lis, and since I have not made anything with it in awhile I took the opportunity to do so today! What do you think?

It's Aloha Friday! Have a great weekend!

Classy and Elegant Color Splash

Hi!

Well, my family and friends already knew I had an addiction to paper and it's one of the reasons I started this blog recently WELL I think I have found a new place to "Play" to enable this addiction....Its The Play Date Cafe!!! As I stated last week, I have been wanting to carve out time to finally make one of their challenges, well now I think I am going to make it a priority to do so. When I saw the new challenge I knew I had to play again, and I had so many ideas going in my head I think I could have made an endless supply of cards with this concept if only time permitted!! However, with this card it actually took a totally different direction than I intended because I was so in love with the designer paper I just let it be the focal point and threw out my original sketch. I love these colors together!

The Challenge for the week is Color Splash which is Black and White with a Hint of Green! I was inspired by the focus of the Design Team this week which was the beautiful butterfly they used by the sponsor Memory Box.  I stamped 4 butterflies from Papertrey Inks With Sympathy in Certainly Celery by Stampin' UP! Next I punched them out using an EK Success circle punch and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  For a finishing touch I added an embossed butterfly with pearls!

I am going to add my card to Moxie Fab's Classy and Elegant Challange,  Flutter By Wednesday Challenge, and another fun one Jazzy Paper Desings!

Hope you have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!
~Warm Aloha!

City Crafters Challenge Blog ~ Garden Mail

I have found a new blog to play at this week called City Crafters Challenge Blog and there is a fabulous inspirational photograph to use. To play along we had to use a color from the beautiful photograph you will see below and something to do with mail.

Here is the label zoomed in to show the embossing.
The beautiful Artwork is from A Creative Mint.

I have enjoyed this new challenge and hope to join again in the future!

I am also going to enter this in the Wee Memories Challenge Blog Just Stamp.

~ Just a Note

Happy Monday!

Jazzy Papers has a fun sketch challenge. I wanted to try and stick close to the colors of the album as possible.

Here is my take!

I have been inspired by the ruffles we see everywhere as of late, so I decided to incorporate it with my designer paper and I took my scallops and I curled my layers with an end of a paint brush to give them a little bit of a curl.

I will also enter this in The Wee Memories Challenge where you can incorporate anything Stamped into your project.

Thanks for taking a peek!
Warm aloha~

The Play Date Cafe Challenge 39

Hi!

Well, I have been trying to get a chance to play over at The Play Date Cafe for awhile now, and I finally carved out some time to see what they had brewing. It was a beautiful, but muted palette which is a big change from a card I had just created...(that to come in a day or two,) so I really had to switch my creative brain, and when I usually do that I go back to sweet and simple, or it just works out that way. J
I have had this designer paper from K& Company I have wanted to use, so I thought it would work great.

I loved the colors and inspiration photo.

What's not showing up in the photo is the black die is embossed with the "In bloom" impression plate. I tried zooming in for a second shot, but I still can't get it to show up. Urgh! It makes the elegance of this card.

Thanks for peeking! I had fun playing on this "Play Date"!
Warm aloha!

ColourQ

Hi There~

Well, I had to jump into this challenge because it was a challenge for me to combine these colors together and come up with a card I was satisfied with.  This challenge was for the ColourQ blog. Like most of us, the harder something is the more determined I am to make something come of it. so I had to play. My take was clean and simple, but I hope you enjoy this little number!

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Challenge #57

This is the color combo over at SPCC this week.
I needed an elegant card, but one with a touch of Masculinity, so I added a touch of woodgrain to balance the card out

I used my Stampin' UP! texturz plates to emboss the blue card stock which you may not be able to see in the photograph. It really added that elegant touch to the card. Isn't that Whisper White Satin Ribbon just beautiful!
I am also heading over to Moxie Fab for Let's Do Classy & Elegant!

Happy Crafting!

Fun & Cute Aloha Style

Aloha!

It's Summer and I can't help, but keep playing with all my crafty beachy toys!

For the Moxie Fab Card Style Week Fun & Cute I went with Fun & Cute Aloha Style! I am just loving that cute pink little inner tube and what about that surf board? That isn't one my hubby would be caught surfing on! :-)

I will also enter this for my second entry for Wee Memories which is also a Summer Fun Challenge.

Warm Aloha everyone!

Wee Memories ~ Summer Fun

Summer Fun! Awww....we all look forward to putting our toes in the sand and soaking up the sun! I couldn't pass this challenge up over at Wee Memories. Not only do I love to create fun beach cards, but there is a wonderful sponsor for this challenge this week....Lawn Fawn. Another fabulous company I have a long wish list for, so I am really hoping (along with my hubby hee hee} that I might win the challenge this week, so my wish list doesn't keep hurting his wallet!!!

Warm Aloha and may you be finding some summer fun!

Embellish Magazine Color Challenge **Ric Rac**

Hi!

The new Embellish Magazine Color Challenge is orange, turquoise, brown and kraft in addition to use some ric rac. Here is my quick, clean and simple take.  I love the embossed silhouettes on the card, and I wanted to use the ric rac in a different way rather than a boarder going straight across.

Hope everyone has a great week coming up!

de-light

Hi~

It's Card Style Week at Moxie Fab World and one of the challenges Cath is having is Classy and Elegant, so I was able to incorporate the elegant colors from Kim's Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #16 and the layout from  Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge #19 to bring you this card.

If you notice my background, it was stamped from Giga Guidelines from PTI then I used clear embossing powder to heat set on pink card stock. So soft and elegant!  The sentiment for this card is from Define Your Life by Stampin! UP!.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

This is actually my second attempt..ha! I was told someone couldn't see my card yesterday, so I pulled to repost and decided I just wasn't 100%. It was was more to do with photographing the actual card, so I created another card and decided this time I wanted to heat set my tone on tone! Awww I like it so much better!

I just loving playing with my new Mehndi Medallion set. There just isn't enough time in the day right now to play with all those possibilities!

Well, I hope you are having a wonderful day in your part of the world!

Wish Big

Hi!

One of my favorite challenges to find are color combination challenges because you pretty much have free will but you have to incorporate the colors, but it's not always as easy as you think.  I needed a birthday card, so I made a quick card using the following colors for the SCRAPMASTER'S PARADISE challenge

For my card base I used Chocolate Chip by Stampin' UP!  I cut a rectangle base of Bashful Blue then I took the background to be used for the candles in the Big Birthday Candle set and created a background using Chocolate Chip Ink. To cut the Scallop Circles I used my Sizzix #2 Scallop Circle die and cut them out in Tangerine Tango.  I stamped and paper pieced my candles and finished with my Tangerine Tango ribbon which I just love, and added a sentiment from Stampin' UP!'s Small Script by using the Modern Label Punch.

I enjoyed playing in this new challenge.

Have a great day!

Birthday Wishes

I came across another new challenge to me at a site called Caardvarks. Their latest challenge is sponsored by My Favorite Things.  The theme is to create a new birthday card.
I paper pieced the cup cake from the My Favorite Things Cupcake Kind of Day stamp set and foam mounted it on the square base. My sentiment is from Gina K Designs Tag Lines.

I was able to incorporate the color scheme from the Off The Wall Craftiness Color Challenge using the tangerine, teal, and white! It has really be fun playing with these colors!
Warm Aloha!

CWC011 ~ Kraft-y Kreations

Hi! The CAS-tastic Challenge blog would like us to create a clean and simple card using Kraft. Well, I need to rename it to SCRAP-tastic because that is exactly what I did to to make this CAS card! It really was from things laying on my craft table left over from other projects other than my new grunge tag I just got in the mail from part of a scavenger hunt prize pack I won at Mad Hatter Stamps.

I can always use Just Because "cheery" color cards so this will come in handy. I may even add this to my stack going to Operation Write Home.

Warm aloha!
