The Kraft Journal 91 - Recycle / Reuse

Happy Monday morning to you!

{A Woohoo Top 3 Honors at My Craft Spot on 10/17/2012 Thank you so much}

This week at The Kraft Journal the challenge is Recycle and Reuse.  I created a treat bag altered from a Light Kraft Envelope. I cut the top off using my pinking shears to look like a bag. You would never know it was an envelop huh? It was decorated with pumpkins from Inspired by Stamping Pumpkin Faces. I then embellished with a darling tag that was die-cut created from a box headed for the recycling bin. You make your chipboard out of anything. This is what I used to create the tag mentioned above.

Once it was die-cut it was  embossed, painted, distressed, and sanded. I used Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock to die-cut a circle to create a sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Mason Jar Add On II.

I used the Buff Ivory Labels to personalize the goodies.
So, not a bad way to use some envelopes in a different way to give some home baked cookies and fall sweet treats! :-) Don't forget to recycle to make your own chipboard.  We are off to deliver this batch of goodies to our crossing guard.

I hope you will play along with our Recycle / Reuse challenge this week at The Kraft Journal.  All those that participate in our challenges for the month will have a chance to win a $15.00 gift certificate from The Kraft Outlet....and you also get a chance to be considered for The Feature Me Friday artist post on The Kraft Journal blog! How Cool is that?

I would like to personally add this over at Papercraft Star - Anything Goes

My Craft Spot: A Treat For You!

Hope your week is full of blessings!

I absolutely love your project, especially that tag! I would never have thought to make a tag from a box like that, although I have used cereal and cracker boxes for chipboard for years! Great job!
