Keep Christmas In Your Heart - WMSC 117

Hello There!

**Second post of the day Ten Minute Craft Dash is Below or Click here**

Have you ever started a card and it took you a week to complete? Well you are looking at one below! :-) I had so many projects going in the works. I finally got this one done, and I didn't want to miss the linky deadline! Because that would be sad. I rather liked the end result. I can't remember when it ends, but I think soon. Too bad mother nature is dark and raining on my parade! Just makes for dark photos. Oh well!

So here is my week long make! :-)
I started with Brown Cover Weight Cardstock from the Kraft Outlet I covered it with some antique white craft paint adding some red and cream stripe paper from my scrap pile. I die-cut a piece of c-flute corrugated cardstock and gave it some paint for a primitive look.  I created a tag from a die-cut using Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock stamping with snowflakes from WMS Seasons of Love in Riding Hood Red.
Using Brown Cover Weight Cardstock  a heart was die-cut and a tiny snowflake was randomly stamped in Kraft ink with a sentiment from WMS Seasons of Love in Riding Hood Red.  The tag was then looped with red grosgrain ribbon and dressed up with a shabby seam binding bow embellished with a heart button and stick pins.  Finishing touches include two silver glass glitter stars and a poinsettia flower.

Inspiration for this card was provided at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.

Ha, totally! And regularly they'll take days at a time...staring blankly and wondering what I'd intended to do, or just not getting back to the desk. Yup. Been there :)
Totally love the final project - and the word totally today, of course - and the sweet heart button & pins are such great embellies! Love the whole thing :)

SO glad you finished this one because it WOULD have been sad not to see it. It's so festive and makes me so excited for the upcoming season! My fave holiday color scheme is kraft, cream, and red, and I am so loving the addition of the distressing and silver sparkle! Your poinsettia and heart pins make this extra sweet!
