The Kraft Journal 143 - Lace It Up!

{If you're looking for The Ribbon Reel Gold and Silver New Year Card click here}

How are you on this first Monday of the New Year?

For today's "Lace It Up" challenge at The Kraft Journal, I started with a card base of Medium Kraft Cover weight cardstock onto which I added various patterned papers using scraps from my stash.

I added a row of buttons at the bottom which I  threaded with Natural Hemp Cord.  Natural Burlap Ribbon was wrapped around the card front and tied into a bow embellished with a red button and Metallic Hemp Twine.
I added three different lace trims from my collection and finished the card with a stamped framed sentiment using stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps
I hope you will play along with our Lace It Up challenge this week at The Kraft Journal.  All those that participate in our challenges for the month will have a chance to win a $15.00 gift certificate from The Kraft Outlet....and you also get a chance to be considered for The Feature Me Friday artist post on The Kraft Journal blog!

I am joining in at Just B Creative - January Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, Brown Sugar Challenge - Ribbon or Twine

I created this card for my Mom to give to a friend. I hope she likes it.

I hope you have a blessed week!
~Tammy~

Tammy,
I am looking all over your card for shoe laces. It has been a long week and it is only Tuesday. We had to make abdominal binders and lace the ladies up after surgery and my brain must have been there. Your card on the other hand is a beauty. Buttons and lace...... Thank you for sharing this marvelous card with us here at Word Art Wednesday.
Blessings,
Carole Robb Bisson

What a pretty mix of everything, Tammy! I have natural ribbon that looks like this. Haven't used it yet. They are scraps that I took from a party in the fall. They were wrapped around a napkin/fork/knife/spoon combo. It was so cute!
