{This is my second post of the day, for Paper Sweeties January Release Day 1 click here}
It's Monday and that means it's time for another challenge at The Kraft Journal. This week we bring you a color challenge. I started with a card base of Medium Kraft Cardstock which I followed by adding my patterned papers from my scrap pile. :-)))
I then added a paper doily to the center followed by a banner I cut and stamped/embossed using snowflakes from Paper Sweeties Snow Friends set. I added a sentiment at the top of my card from Paper Sweeties Warm Winter Wishes.
Here is where I took a more literal approach to the inspiration picture: Using a silhouette machine, I cut a snowflake from Medium Kraft Cardstock and covered it with Frosted Lace Stickles to give the appearance of an iced cookie. I then layered it to it's coordinating shadow which I cut from pink cardstock I had in my scrap pile. In the center, I added a crochet flower which has been embellished with Yellow Baker's Twine bow and a soft yellow button threaded using Natural Hemp Cord.
Here is the color challenge graphic to provide you with some wonderful inspiration!
I hope you will join in the fun with the color challenge at The Kraft Journal this week. All those that participate in our challenges for the month will be entered to win a $15.00 gift certificate from The Kraft Outlet. This also may get you considered for the Feature Me Friday artist post on The Kraft Journal blog.
I am joining in at Just B Creative - January Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, Craftin' Desert Divas - Winter.
I hope you have a fabulous and warm Monday!
