The Kraft Journal #104 - Use Your Scraps

Hello Lovelies!

{For my Paper Sweeties Release Peeks Day 2 click here}
{For my DeNami Designs Blog Hop Post click here.}

It's Monday and that means it's another challenge at The Kraft Journal!  Today's challenge was an easy one for me and that is to "Use Your Scraps". I tend to keep everything because you never know when you can use something no matter how small.  90% of the time, I work from my scrap pile as a starting point.

I started with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft, next I placed a piece of scrap pattered paper with a Valentine Motif to the bottom portion of my card front. I had a left over piece of Nottinghill Seam Binding from the Christmas Tree Tutorial that I wrapped around the card front and tied off with a piece of Pink Baker's Twine.

A doily was die-cut from a scrap of Buff Ivory Coverweight Cardstock and added to the center of the card. Finding a piece of pink patterned paper in my stash, I die-cut a scalloped heart circle to stamp my Heart Flower Trio focal image from DeNami Designs which was colored using colored pencils and mineral spirits.
The sentiment was stamped on a banner made from a scrap of Buff Ivory Coverwight Cardstock.  While moving things around on my desk, I found a piece of thin patterned paper that I felt would be perfect to add to the top of the card to complete the look.

Stop by The Kraft Journal to see what the other designers did this week with their scraps.  All of our followers who participate in our challenges for the month of January have a chance to be featured in the "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a voucher for The Kraft Outlet.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a fantastic week!
~Tammy~

Haha, you & me both - keep it all. You might need that tiny 1" square, and that's the truth.
