Thanks to all those who have checked in on me lately! I am trying to come back from the crud. It's been a long kick back, but I finally felt like getting crafty again.
What better way then to get inky than with some Wplus9 stamps for the Cloud9 blog hop. My Wplus9 wish list is very long as I am sure many of you can agree. I have adored this stamp company from the start...and just to show....just that...I pulled out one of Dawn's first stamp sets called Just a Note. I think it may even be retired, but I love it just the same.
I started with an Oatmeal card base and layered a piece of black textured paper that was laying on my desk, and it was the perfect size. I love that! Next I added the scrap of black and kraft polka dotted patterned paper also from a previous make that fit perfectly layered onto the black textured piece.
I then added an eyelet border in Buff Ivory Cardstock across the top portion. Taking some hemp twine I wrapped it around the card face a couple of times tying on my tag stamped with the darling music note to add a bit of whimsy!
Using a page from an old vintage book, I die-cut a pennant and layered it sideways. I cut a tag from Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock and stamped the focal image and sentiment from WPlus9 Just a Note. Finishing touches include adding a star made of silver German Glass Glitter and a beautiful silver rhinestone heart button.
Having many to thank for the blessings received over the Holidays, I wanted to focus on Thank You's as I start this New Year.
As mentioned I found my inspiration from Cloud9 January Blog Hop.
