The Kraft Journal #103 Crimp or Fold

Hello Sweet Friends!

Today starts a new challenge at The Kraft Journal "Crimp or Fold,  So I crimped! :-) I began with a base of Brown Cover Weight Cardstock which I layered and pieced together patterned papers from the Kraft and Black Cardstock pad.   I added a paper doily to the center of the card to give it a softer touch then layered a die-cut stamped framed sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps to the center.

Next I added a length of crochet trim across the lower third of my card.  I then die-cut three flowers from Brown Cover Weight Cardstock then ran them through my hand-held crimper to give the effect of corrugated cardboard. I wanted a shabby look, so I took some white paint to the flowers.

I felt I need to add a touch of color, so a purple paper flower by Prima was added to the top layers of corrugated flowers embellishing the center with a pewter stick pin.  Lastly, a row of white paper hearts was added to top of the card for a finishing touch.

Pop by and see what the other designers did this week for the Crimp or Fold challenge.  All of our followers who participate in our challenges for the month of January have a chance to be featured in the "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a voucher for The Kraft Outlet.

I'll have another post for you in a little bit! Be sure to check back!

What a fun sentiment - and I'm loving all the layers here! The crimping is SUCH a cool touch (and I'm kind of wishing that I'd bought a crimper...), and the corrugated blooms as always are super funky with the paint!

I love purple with kraft - I think that is just the most perfect color with it, don't you ? I really really love this, the doily softening it all, and all the white too. Oh and the black ... ok, all of it !! Hugs ! -J-

This is just beautiful, I'm in love with that pop of purple on all of those neutrals! Kraft is one of my favorites :) Thank you for stopping by my blog! Your shirt comment made me smile, My 2 yr old has a shirt that says it, too...and it was a hand-me-down from my 8 year old!
