Simply Wonderful

Hi!

I have a birthday card to share today where I created a border using the emboss resist technique.
I pulled out my Versamark ink pad and my jar of Stamp-n-stuff clear embossing powder. I stamped each side of the panel with a border stamp from Wplus9 in Versamark and liberally poured the clear embossing powder over the stamped border image followed by heat setting.

I then took a foam sponge and ran Tumbled Glass distress ink over the embossed image.  The border on the top shows it (although hard to see in this picture with a light color) and the bottom shows the embossed image still clear.  This gives your embossed resist image dimension.

I wanted this very subtle and to fade into the white center focal area. I created a sentiment using a matching die sentiment set from My Favorite Things. I die cut the butterfly 6 times mounting three each for the two butterfly images. I punched a smaller butterfly in a soft lavender color next adding one each to the stacked butterflies and finishing off with rhinestones completing by binding their wings upward.
I created this card using the colors from The Play Date Cafe.
Well, that's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by.
~Tammy~
