LOVE ~ Colourq 119

Hi!

{Wahoo! This card was selected for ColourQ Colour Queen Courtier 1/17/12}

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Just a note to share a Valentine for the current Colourq challenge. The colors of the week are Pretty in Pink, Going Gray, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo.

Here is what I came up with.
After yesterday's card, I am back in my comfort zone of fun more "girly" colors.  I used a border stamp from Mint Motif called Beyond Borders and the sentiment and xoxo background stamp would be from an old Stampin' UP! Love is in the Air set. Ironically, almost the same name of the Unity set I used yesterday which is not a "Valentine" set. A note to the sentiment: It is designed that way to be wonky!

Before stamping my borders I used the tissue technique which is to slightly tap it with tissue paper to give a slight distressed look.  I used my scalloped heart spellbinders to die cut a heart out of the center of my gray card stock panel to create a window for my background stamp.  To complete this little Valentine, I added some paper roses.
I scored two lines for added texture and visual interest. I sure wish I could figure how to to photograph to show that feature.

Here are the fantastic colors from Colourq!
Before I let you go, go check out a contest KIM WILSON of Wilson Design Stamps has going on over at the Wilson Designs Facebook page.  For more deets click here.
Have a Super Saturday!
