ColourQ 118

Hi!

Wahoo! This card was selected for ColourQ Colour Queen Courtier 1/9/12!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Ours is quite busy, but I thought I would pop on to share a post for a card I created for the latest ColourQ challenge.
Here is what I came up with!

These were the colors we were to use! I only had two of the exact colors mentioned and got as close as I could on the others.
The stamps I used were some that have not seen ink in awhile. (My new year challenge is to ink up those that have dust on them or flat out have not seen ink!)  I used PTI: In Bloom and a sentiment from Practicing Creativity: Chatter Box.
I used a tissue paper technique inspired from an old (and I mean old) card I found in my stash from one of the first Stampin' UP! parties I went to. I decided to give it a whirl again although it does not show up in the photograph because it's white on white which is the effect I wanted, but the recipient will be able to see it.  Basically, you adhere crinkled tissue paper to your card stock run a brayer over it. Once it's dry your ready to start stamping! A great way to recycle and add texture! :-)

Well, that is it for me today! Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with the DeNami Designs Blog Hop! Hope you will hop along with us. There are a few mini-shopping sprees up for grabs!
~Tammy~

I've never tried tissue paper as a base to stamp on but I must say that your card is gorgeous so I guess I'll have to try it sometime!
