Thank You {The Kraft Journal}

Hello and Happy New Year!

How are you on this First Monday?  I am trying to stay warm and get back in the swing of things. The Ol' blog has been running on auto pilot as I was spending time with friends and family in my home state of Florida.  I have to say it's pretty darn tough to go from wearing shorts and flip flops to having to bundle up with scarves, gloves, hats, winter coat, and boots. Burr! Give me sun and palm trees any day!

For the first challenge of 2015, The Kraft Journal is starting with a "Thank You" challenge. After the holidays, many of us have thank you notes to give, and we hope you will join us and share some of your thank you creations with us. All you have to do is use Kraft cardstock on your card or products from The Kraft Outlet. 

I started this card by adhering a piece of snowflake patterned paper to the Brown Kraft Cardstock card base. I stamped the Thank You sentiment from My Creative Time Winter Cheer onto the Brown Kraft Cardstock panel with Jet Black ink and then sponged white craft ink around the edges followed by adding chunky glitter. Buff Ivory Cardstock was used to create a double scallop border to the panel before adhering to the card front. 

I layered some die-cut Winter Flakes also made from Buff Ivory Cardstock to the lower left of the panel adding a blue rhinestone for a touch of bling. A few more rhinestones were added for further embellishing. Lastly, a length of Natural Hemp Cord was wrapped around the card front and tied in a double bow adding a few jingle bells for a festive touch.
