Halloween Beware Banner

In case you missed it, I am sharing a project I made last week for the What's Hot Wednesday segment at The Kraft Journal using some fine products from The Kraft Outlet and paying special focus on Buff Ivory Cardstock.  It's a very durable 80lb cover weight linen weave stationary grade texture that stamps beautifully as well as a great base for many crafting projects.

I created a Halloween Banner to hang from a mirror in my family room.
I started by stamping 6 pennant pieces from Just Rite O Christmas Tree onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and die-cutting them using a coordinated die.  Don't be afraid to look at all your supplies for all your project needs. It's a great way to stretch your dollar. In this case, I knew I would only see the background which was not "Christmas"

Next I created 6 paper rosettes using Buff Ivory Cardstocto add to the center of each of the pennant pieces. The next layer is 6 die-cut stars from Blackboard Stock Paper.
I took some foam letters and ran them through my Xyron Machine and added orange glitter to spell out the word BEWARE.

I used Butter Bias Tape and dyed it with an orange spray mist and hung to dry. Once dry, I punched holes in each corner of the pennant to lace my custom dyed Bias Tape through tying each end in a fluffy bow.
I decorated with buttons laced with Black Baker's Twine in each of the corners.
I hope you have enjoyed this project. It was fun to put together.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is so gorgeous, Tammy! Very creative to use some Christmas products in a different way. You would never even know these were originally Christmas stamps. Love the rosettes and love your hand-dyed ribbon. The buttons and glitter are just fabulous, too. The whole vintage look to this is soooo up my alley!

This is beautiful in its own right, but to think you used a Christmas set (I have that one too!) makes it all the more clever!
