Get Your Glitz On!

Hi Everyone!

A real quick post for me as I have another busy day with home improvements and trying to keep a little one entertained while we do all the things that need to be done.

Today I have a card for the Get Your Glitz On Background Stamping Challenge. I just love this Distressing Musical Background by Glitz Designs, so I thought it would be fun to play along.

I wanted to keep this fairly simple for mailing purposes, but I think I might have killed that idea when I added the buttons! (I just couldn't help it!)  I stamped the musical background from the D 2961 Glitz distressing set repeatedly on my cream card stock then adding it to my card base. I then added the doily and peach felt zig zag (I believe from American Crafts)to the card. Next I stamped a frame from Glitz Fancy Frames S 2693 and fussy cut and distressed the edges.  Next I stamped a simple sentiment in the frame.  For a finishing touch, I added some vintage buttons to the top portion of the card.

I am also adding this to: Clear It Out Tuesday: Anything Goes!

Speaking of getting your Glitz on, I have a friend in blogging world (Colleen), who's 13 year old daughter just started an adorable blog called Glossip Girl!  She has a fun enthusiasm for Philosophy products especially Philosophy lip gloss.  I use to pride myself on being a little stylish and fashionable and then....well the Mom roll took over, so now my style is more casual, but no matter what I am wearing, I love a little lip shine, so I know I appreciate the young and fresh advice of this sweet young girl!  Please go check out her cute blog, I know she would love it if you followed her too!  She has a talent for writing fantastic reviews for such a young lady!

Well, I hope your weekend is going fabulously!

This is so pretty, Tammy! The doily is gorgeous and I love the soft colours you've chosen.
Sorry I've not been by for a bit. Classes have been so busy! Just one more assignment to finish up though and I'll be done the semester. I will be back to check things out a bit later. It looks like you've been busy and I can't wait to catch up!!

Tammy, I have that Fancy Frames set by Glitz, too and I looove it! I don't have the backgrounds set, but it has called my name more than once. :)

The card is so light and lovely, the colors go so well together, and love that 'banner' of buttons across the top.

THanks ever so much for shouting out my daughter's new blog! That was so kind of you. :) And yes, you should get some Philosophy lip shine! It is not sticky like so many other lip glosses, and they smell unbelievably delicious. :)

I'm getting the Sugar Sprinkles Funnel Cake in the mail soon! So happy! Anyway, you should definitely buy some Philosophy lip shine... They are truly delicious :) May I suggest either... Candy Corn, or Caramel Apple? Happy Glossing! ~~~~ GG
