Hope this day is special as you are...

Hey all!

I was going through card making withdrawals, so I decided to make a little card with one of my scrap bags I just discovered in some things I unpacked. Boy! I have quite a stash of scraps to go through. I just love this pattern paper. I believe it was from The Angel Company.

Ugg, wouldn't you know the ribbon would be in the way of the sentiment for the photo. Normally, I would reshoot it, but as luck would have it, my card reader decided to die today, so I had to use hubby's ancient desert worn computer (full of sand), to upload the picture, and then I had to email it to myself so I could use my computer to edit it. Let's just say it took over an hour because I believe his computer has got to be the slowest one out there.  I am really surprised it still works after the abuse it has endured.

The top and bottom of the card I took two small flourish stamps from two different Crafty Secret stamp collections to create an alternating image for a nice vintage flourish border.  I used VersaMark ink, but still have not found my heat gun, so I couldn't set it with heat and stick powder to really make it pop. (I must add I have not found my heat and stick powder yet either...oh the joys of moving)
I know it's still hard to see, but you can make it out a little. Really wishing the card reader had not bit the dust on me, so I could reshoot this little number.

I also stamped the tag top and bottom with the same flourish stamp, and placed my sentiment in the middle. Since you really can't see, I thought I would tell you! If anyone has some pointers on how to make watermark images photograph well, I am all eyes and ears!

Besides adding the seam binding which I love using on cards, I added a strip of elegant velvet aqua trim.

I am going to play along with The Ribbon Reel's Chantilly Lace Color Challenge. The challenge colors were inspired by the photo below. Aqua, pink, cream or white. You also had to use ribbon and a flower!
I also thought it would be fun to play along at Stamp Something - Embellished challenge and Jules Crafty Snipped Challenge - #29.  I am still working from scraps as I mentioned earlier.  Hand Stamped Sentments - Flourish Challenge.

Well, I must go back to fixing and sorting and more unpacking....play time is over! Boo! I will be back at the end of the week with a new Off The Wall Craftiness challenge.  There is still time to play in this weeks challenge.

Happy Tuesday!
~Tammy~
