The Kraft Journal - CAS Baby

Hello Friends!

It's Monday, and I am here with a new challenge for you over at The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog. This week we want to see your CAS - Baby Creations. Using items either found at The Kraft Outlet or using kraft cardstock.
I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Coverweight onto which I added some patterned paper from DCWV. Next I took a length of Yellow Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the card front several times just above the patterned paper. I took a Small Manila Shipping Tag and stamped a background of hearts (DeNami Design) in a light green ink. I stamped a cute giraffe (DeNami Design) using Buff Ivory Cardstock, colored him with copics, followed by fussy cutting and mounting him with foam adhesive to the center of the shipping tag. Next I took a length of pink satin ribbon and wrapped it around tying a fussy bow just to the top of the shipping tag adding a button laced with Natural Hemp Cord.
The Baby sentiment (DeNami Design) was stamped in black ink directly to the card base. For a finishing touch, I added three pink dew drops.

There you have it. I really reached into my stash of paper, ribbons and embellishments...

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your CAS - Baby creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a great week!

Trendy Twine - Sending a Latte...

Happy Sunday!

I am back again with a post for the awesome Trendy Twine Blog!  I am featuring Cherry Latte Trendy Twine.  My inspiration started by this build a sentiment set that I have in my collection called Sending a Latte...(The Angel Company - no longer in business)
I started this card by piecing together my patterned papers and layering them to my card base. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out a Coffee Cup.  I added some Cherry Latte Trendy Twine to the cup for a decorative touch. I mounted it to the front of the card using foam adhesive to give it some added dimension. I ran a length of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine across the front where the bottom layers of the patterned paper pieces met.

I created a fussy bow which I embellished further with a double bow created from Cherry Latte Trendy Twine, and a button laced with the twine as well. Lastly, I just stamped and added my sentiment to the card front to complete my project.

You can find this fabulous Twine on sale at Annie's Paper Boutique.
I am joining in the Fall Coffee Lover's Blog hop!

Trendy Twine - Mini Coffee Cup Berry Basket

Hi Friends!

I'm over on the Trendy Blog sharing a Hot Cocoa gift treat showcasing this months AWESOME Mini Coffee Cups,  Mini Spoons, and Cherry Latte Trendy Twine.

I always get swamped at the holidays, so I try to start working on gifts for these occasions early. I made a little basket of Holiday Cheer!

I started by decorating my Mini Coffee Cup with some designer paper. I made a belly band from kraft paper and ran it through my paper crimper to give it the corrugated cardboard look.

I used some die-cut labels to attach my greeting and I wrapped the top with Trendy Twine's Featured twine this month: Cherry Latte Trendy Twine

I then added the contents to make Peppermint Hot Cocoa into a bag and tied off adding Cherry Latte Trendy Twine gift tag and a decorated Mini Wooden Spoon.

Next I took a paper berry basket adding Kraft Paper Shreds and folded a doily over the top to the outside. Wrapping some more amazing Cherry Latte Trendy Twine adding a cluster pine cone embellishment to complete my gift set.

All other stamps, dies and embellishments were a combination of items in my personal collection:
My Creative Time
DeNami Design
Paper Smooches
If you have any questions about these items please feel free to email me at the link provided at the top of my blog.

The Kraft Journal, Anything Goes - Pumpkin

Hello and Happy Monday!

This week at The Kraft Journal we have an Anything Goes - Pumpkin challenge for you.

I decorated two Small Kraft Pillow Boxes for the upcoming Halloween holiday and filled them with treats. I took a piece of designer paper and wrapped it around the pillow box. Using Blackboard Stock Paper, I die-cut some ric-rac borders to add to the front.

Next I took a length of Black Twill Tape and wrapped it around the pillow box and tied a bow at the top. Again, using Blackboard Stock Paper, I made a paper rosette to add to the center adding a circular greeting (My Creative Time) and a die-cut pumpkin to complete my Pillow Box treats.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Anything Goes - Pumpkin creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Happy 8th Birthday {The Kraft Journal)

Hello There!

I have a cute number card for you today. We have the Take Your Pick challenge at The Kraft Journal
Today I created a sweet kids number birthday card picking items from the challenge inspiration.  It shows how The Kraft Journal challenge is always open to interpretation. All you need to do to play along is use Kraft or items that can be purchased from The Kraft Outlet.

I used Die-cuts, Purple, Ribbon, and Patterned Paper ( and the patterned paper has glitter in it). I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock onto which I added the glittered patterned paper. Next I took a piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock and cut it to the size I needed and rounded the top two corners.

I stamped Happy and Birthday (PTI) in pink and lavender inks adding the die-cut squared chipboard in the middle adding the 8. I die-cut the th (PTI) and placed it to the upper right of the number. I die-cut and stamped some candles (PTI) and placed them on the lower left corner where they would peek out from the Lilac Lace Seam Binding I wrapped around the card front tying in a scrunchy bow embellished with a button (DeNami Design) and Pink Baker's Twine. Lastly, I added a few colorful sequins for an added touch of glitz.

Here is the Take Your Pick choices for the week.

Baseball Birthday Card

Hello all~

{Thank you to Retro Sketches for giving this card a "Shout Out" on 9/12/15}

I know I have pretty much been MIA. Life takes over and summer was busy, out-of-state baseball tournaments, and during his break from baseball, my son and I went on a three week road trip...then my beloved computer just stop working on our trip....no warning...just the end of it's life cycle. So with school, and baseball starting back up...it's taking some time to sort out getting a new computer and getting my files off the old. I had to have an expert start working on it since the thing would no longer power up.

Having said that...I have not been around to visit or post, so I am sorry.

I was forced back into the craft room since my son has a birthday party to go to this weekend. I have not been in there in almost two months. I worked ahead for some DT assignments, so I had to really knock the dust off.

Inspiration was provided (thank goodness), by Retro Sketches!
I used the Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge for the ball and bat, and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.
As mentioned, inspiration found at Retro Sketches
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Thursday!
