Good Monday Morning To You!
For today's sketch challenge at The Kraft Journal, I thought this was a perfect sketch for a Dreaded Man Card (DMC) Which I have lovingly referred to on my blog many times. Since I need more of these in my stash I used the sketch for inspiration 100%!
I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock which I layered a piece of patterned paper that was more on the masculine side. I took a length of Natural Hemp Cord and wrapped it around the center panel three times. I stamped my focal image from Crafty Secrets on Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and colored in with various Copic Markers.
Next I die-cut the image out and inked the edges using a blending tool and distress inks and layered it on a coordinated die-cut. Lastly, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in black ink onto Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock also die-cuting adding distress inks to the edges to complete this DMC birthday card.
Here is the sketch:
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies. We hope to see your sketch pattern creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.
Have a fabulous week!
