Hi!
My little guy took a nap today....worn out from the summer sun, so I took advantage of the down time. I normally have my 4th of July cards at least started by now. Not this year, I present my first 4th of July card.
To achieve the focal image faded or worn look, I colored the rubber stamp with my Copics and then misted it lightly with a spritz of water. This stamp is from Stampin' UP! and was given to me as a gift. The proceeds were in support after 911 for disaster relief efforts in New York City and Washington DC.
I took a glittered foam mat and cut a star using my spellbinders and added my focal image to the center of the glittered star. The doily was colored using distress inks. A length of seam binding was wrapped vertically around the left portion of the card front, and tied into a fussy bow embellished with some paper flowers and a button. Prior to adding the seam binding, two scallop borders were cut and applied to the top portion of the card.
My Mojo was kick started with Just Us Girls - Color Challenge.

What a fun and beautiful card, Tammy! Love the patriotic design and love all the detail. The glittered star adds such a nice touch of pizazz and I adore the shabby bow and inked doily. Fabulous stamping technique, too!
