You're My Star

**WooHoo This card is a Top Three Winner at Inspired By Stamping Inspirational Challenge 4/11/12 and Top Three Winner at The Kraft Journal 4/17/12**

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well and you had a wonderful Easter full of blessings!  I am popping in with a card using some pretty pastel tones today along with some beautiful flowers.
I just love these colors together.  I started this card by taking a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock and using the letterpress technique.  I inked up the lattice embossing folder using New Sprout ink and ran it through my Big Shot. As you can see, this gives the lattice impression along with the subtle green in the background.  A strip of yellow checked, gingham patterned paper was added to the bottom of the lattice paper rounding the corners of the right card front to match the rounded corner of my Kraft card base. A length of beautiful lace trim was added across the lower portion of the card front.

I added a hand dyed doily to the card front next adding a strip of floral patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Market Street collection I had left over from another make. A star was diecut and stamped from Waltzingmouse: Seasons of Love in New Sprout Ink. The sentiment was added to the center in Versafine  Vintage Sepia inking the edges with Tea Dye. Various paper roses were added to the top. A row of buttons were threaded with twine and added to the card to complete the look.

I was greatly inspired by the color challenge at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge.

Before I go, here is the bunny trail of eggs the Easter Bunny leaves from the front door to the basket. Makes my little one giddy every year. I cherish this for these times are going to be far and few in the future as he grows up and is getting big.
Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific week!
~Tammy~

Beautiful card! Great layering with the doily.
What a sweet bunny trail :>)
We did not hide eggs in the house this year and of course it was the first thing my dd asked about. My husband slipped outside while I kept the kids busy to hide eggs. Of course next year we are going to have to hide the eggs in the middle of the night because I am sure the first thing they will do is look out the window :>)

Another gorgeous card Tammy - I love the soft colours and the embossed background is beautiful. Of course, all the other details are stunning too - cute little trail of eggs there :)

Hope you dried off the roundabout before playing in the snippets playground, it's been raining all day here and everything was very wet and slippery.

Like the doily coloured in the peach colour and love the green lattice work. Must try that technique myself. Does the embossing folder come up clean and what do you use for the cleaning? Hugs Mrs A. Mind the puddles do. I just fell over in one and now I'm wet through!!!!! Higs Mrs A.

Gorgeous card Tammy! I love the soft colors, the embossed background and all the lovely details.
Love the egg trail. My son is now 44. He still tells of the year it was raining buckets and he had to go on an egg hut in the house. Opening plastic eggs telling him where to find the next egg till he found his basket. You little one will remember too.
Hugs
