Hello!
Well we survived the dentist and I was even asked to consider letting the little man be in a commercial they might be shooting soon for their new office location. Too funny! He did much better than the last visit which was at a different office. See sometimes change is good.
So happy to see the sun shining again after yesterdays monsoon! It's so beautiful and warm today!
I have a little Shabby card to share with you.
I started with a kraft card base adding a layer of various patterned papers which I have distressed and inked the edges with tea stain for a shabby look. I added a fussy seam binding bow, button with a twine bow underneath. I added a circular die cut from a page in an old vintage book that I rescued from the trash pile at a thrift store and a stamped image from Stampin' UP!'s Balmy Breezes (I am betting retired).

A Martha Stewart butterfly was punched on cream card stock and a tea stain ink was added to the edges followed by adding a button to the center. Last is my sentiment from Paper Smooches which was stamped in vintage cream ink, embossed then distressed to pull together the finishing touches that make this one distressed shabby card!
I am joining up with The Shabby Tea Room this week. Use Navy and neutrals and a distressed element. (Got that one checked) :-)
Also joining in with Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes!
I have had a couple people tell me to link up to the current Moxie Fab Cure for the Winter Blues challenge. What better way to cure the winter blues than to receive some good ol fashion handmade mail! :-)

What an awesome card Tammy. The papers are so pretty and I love the distressing. The butterfly look and ribbon look beautiful.
Yay for a good dentist visit!! LOVING your card!! I loveeeee all the papers you used and the butterfly!
Dear Tammy, Love how you used different patterned papers as the background. Love the overall layout and all the colors that you used. Love the butterflies, the ribbon and the super nice sentiment.
Love all the blue!!! You are so good to be pulling out old SU. I have so much of it, can't bear to get rid of it, but never use it. I really should go thru it, because everything old eventually comes around again.
I love all the elements you pulled together - especially that 'airmail' border! You should link up to the Moxie Fab winter blues challenge too - this card is perfect for it :)
This is absolutely gorgeous! Love that seambinding!
That's so sweet, Tammy! I love all the pretty blues. :)
Yes, definitely link up to Moxie Fab World's challenge! Love your take on the TSTR inspiration pic. This is great! You've got a fab array of bluesy papers, and I do like that (probably retired) SU stamp on there. ;)
And how cool that your son was asked to be in a commercial!
Cool card! Love all the different layers, and how you combined them together! ;o)
