A masculine birthday...

Well, I am waaaayyyy short of having guy birthday cards in my stash. That's because I dread making them and therefore call them" the dreaded man card"...I do cherish those I make them for, but ugg, no seam binding, bling, buttons, bows, flower embellishments...Blah....Well, I did add a ribbon and buttons with this one...J

So here it is:
The photo is slightly slanted due to the rings on the notebook prop. I started this card with Brown Kraft cardstock from The Kraft Outlet.  I added some red polka-dotted paper rounding the corners to coordinate with the card base.  I took a library card and used a die-cut to give it it's shape stamping images from Crafty Secrets: Office in Versafine Vintage Sepia adding three brown buttons to the lower left of the library card.
A Labels 3 die was used to cut the red checked gingham patterned paper and a typewriter was stamped with a Happy Birthday sentiment in a cream circular die and added with foam adhesive over the length of stripped ribbon.

I found inspiration with The Kraft Journal - Cards for Him
I have played on the swings in awhile with everyone in Pixie's crafty Snippet Challenge! I hope I am allowed in the playground after playing hooky.
Have a good week!
~Tammy~

LOL.....the dreaded man card! I know what you mean about them not being quite as fun as the girly versions. But wow, you did a fabulous job! Love that vintage typewriter image for a masculine design and love your layered die cut shapes. The bow and buttons are great additions, too. Even buttons and bows can work for a guy card, as you totally showed here. :)

I have a terrible time coming up with cards for guys - at least those over about 7 years old. This is an incredible card. Nicely done.
