Snowman tag

Hello Friends!

I have been invited to an ornament exchange tomorrow, so here is the cute tag I made to go outside the gift bag. I think it turned out pretty cute.:) I do love snowmen! 

 I just felt like he was saying "Rejoice" with his little stick arms! :)

The Tag and Snowman are Silhouette files.  My papers are pieces leftovers from DCWV Christmas stack. The snowflakes are from My Creative Time. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I added some crinkled seam binding to the top and the amazing Candy Cane Trendy Twine (on sale) by the way which is embellished with a green button.

Baseball Player Birthday

Hi!

Some of you who follow me know that I have a ball player in the house.  So that means I have a lot of baseball cards to make on various occasions either as Thank-You's or Birthday cards.

I took advantage of using some scrapss and much loved stamps and dies to put this together along with the help of The Papers Players sketch.

That background paper has a velvet texture. The Helmet, bat, and ball are from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is one found at Jaded Blossoms. I stuck to my son's team colors which are Navy and Columbia Blue. When it comes to boys, I don't usually get too fancy. They are not interested in the card so much. I think only my guy is because he has grown up with this.  :)

Monster Size Birthday...

Good Friday Morning!

I am sorry I have been pretty absent making the rounds as of late! I've had a lot of extra "stuff" on my plate! I did a little de-stress card making to try and unwind before bed last night. Not sure it was the best idea to try and craft when I was up so late. I needed more kiddo birthday cards especially ones that are fit for a boy.  Clean and Simple is all that I could "monster" up! Eek, it's stupid early with little sleep and I am using corny puns! 

Here is my super simple card! I am also keeping this post super simple! :-)

I used Monster Fun from Hero Arts. I gave him a blue eye by using a dew drop. Some fun striped paper and a ric rac border. This is definitely not my typical card, but for kiddo birthdays I usually keep them simple.

The Kraft Journal #120 - Just For Her

Good Morning all!

{This is my second post of the day, for my CARDS/DeNami Designs post click here.}

For Today's "Just For Her" challenge, at The Kraft Journal I created a Mother's Day Card, and I began with a Kraft Cover Weight card base which I layered a piece of turquoise textured cardstock and my hand-stamped panel using some stamps from Papertrey Ink. 

I took a length of Pink Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the middle of the card below the sentiment.  I stamped and die-cut a coordinating rose to add to the top of her sentiment.  A final finishing touch was adding a white button laced with Pink Baker's Twine.

Be Mine Valentine

Good Morning Friends!

I hope you are doing well this Thursday~

I have a sweet little Valentine for you this morning! I had to put together a card quickly, so a little short on time I am going to make this short and sweet! 

I began with cream cardstock onto which I layered a piece of kraft cardstock using the letterpress technique to the card base.   The beautiful stamps I used are from Waltzingmouse Stamps called Seasons of Love.  A fussy seam binding bow and button were added to the top.  

I used the sketch from The Paper Players this week.

Hello Friday...

Hello Friday am I happy to see you after the week we have had! So much sadness on the news and my heart really goes out to those affected. I know I have said this a lot this week, but we felt the affects of this storm and I am counting my blessings. 

I created a Thanksgiving card today and I have a lot to be thankful for.  I have a mile long list to complete and you have lots of hopping to do, so I am going to go with the KISS method on this post.

I used The Paper Players Sketch as inspiration.  The papers coordinate so perfectly together it's hard to tell that the strip in the middle is not part of the pattern on the paper. :-) The stamps I used today are from DeNami Designs.

This is why pictures never do projects justice. I made the sentiment banner wavy, so I took a side angle to give a better visual. 

As mentioned, I found my inspiration from The Paper Players Sketch Challenge.

Smiles are proof of everyday miracles

Hello Lovelies! 

It's been awhile since I have joined the fun on the Unity Blog for Friends with Flair, so I am popping in today. I also can not believe we are half way through the year already! Seriously, I feel like I was just celebrating on New Year's Eve. 

I started with a kraft card base (Stampin' UP!) and created two panels using the letterpress technique. I used Very Vanilla, so it's inked very subtly.  I added the polk-a-dot patterned paper to the lower potion embellishing with a length of crochet trim and buttons. 

I chose to use a Unity sentiment as my focal image, and I apologize as I do not know what set this is from as I won an assortment of stamps in a prize pack. :-) Lastly, I embellished with some flowers in my stash.

I found further inspiration with these great challenges.

Follow Your Bliss

Hey there!

I have a fun little card to share and a bit clean from my usual style of late. I had a little fun with my oval punch and created this flower using some gingham papers in my stash! :-)))

I was further inspired by the sketch over at Mojo Monday.  I substituted the circle for the bloom I created  and added the hand-cut banner at the bottom with a sentiment from Inspired By Stamping Inspiring Sentiments.

The butterfly was punched and embossed and some bling added to the center!

The color inspiration comes from The Paper Players:

So there you have it, nothing fancy but a little fun with an encouraging sentiment!

Spring has Sprung or has it?

I have another Spring/Easter card to share today!

My card uses the bunny and Welcome Spring sentiment from Wilson Designs Lacey Lovelies.  I just adore this set. Have you checked it out?  I just love it.

I was inspired by the colors at Embellish Magazine to jump start my card today.  I started with a pink card stock that was already in my stash and while visiting my go to scrap box I found all the pieces and parts to make this Spring card come together.  I added a yellow dotted patterned paper to my card base. Next I added the pretty pastel pink patterned paper across the top below my stamped sentiment. Next I diecut and the layers for my focal image.

The lacey bunny was stamped in white craft ink on pink cardstock that coordinated with my base. I applied white embossing powder and set with my heat tool.  I fussy cut the cute little guy and added to my center die.

To complete my card I embellished with a seam binding bow, button and twine also adding a layer of carnival tickets to the bottom topping with some Berry Sorbet buttons.

I have been trying to get a lot of cards made up, so that is why I am back so soon today! Today's card features Wilson Designs Simply Silhouettes.

Inspired by the colors at Just Us Girls.  

I created a tag from white card stock and made my own patterned paper by taking the bow and repeat stamping. I used the Eiffel Tower image from the Simply Silhouettes set stamped in Real Red onto a die cut circle. I stamped Amore also from Simply Silhouettes onto a pink card stock strip also in Real Red and finished off with Red Rhinestones from Martha Stewart. 

I added a heart doily inked in Real Red to my patterned paper and mounted my tag with foam tape. For a decorative touch, I added some pink and red buttons to complete my card.

I am joining in at The Paper Players for the tag it challenge and Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes.
