Happy 7th Birthday!

Hello again~

Well this is the last of my posting blast! I do hope everyone has a wonderful and Merry Christmas!

Yesterday I shared a card for a girl, and today I have a cute card for a special guy turning 7.
I had fun with lots of pattern mixing here. I love all the fun and bright colors. The airplane is from Reverse Confetti Here We Go. The 7 is a chipboard that I had in my stash. I had to photograph at night, so the colors are not coming through like I would like.
I used a background stamp from PTI to add a fun little pattern to the center of the circle. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I am sharing over at Tuesday Morning Sketches - Anything Goes.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2018!

Happy 11th Birthday

Hey again,

My blog doesn't know what to do with pretty much a year of no activity and posting several days in a row and another post tomorrow! It felt good to get creative again!

I have a card for a sweet girl who will be turning 11.
The stamped images are from Practicing Creativity which is no longer in business. I die-cut the 11th and added to a pink heart chipboard I had in my stash.

I used Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine to the top of the tag embellished with a sweet pink paper rose. (I absolutely love Trendy Twine's beautiful colors)
I just love the colors and pattern mixing!

I am playing along at Tuesday Morning Sketches-Anything Goes...this is fun for them. I think they do this once a year.

I hope you have a GREAT day!

May each new day ease the burden of your sorrow

Good day!

I woke up yesterday to find out a dear friend lost her Dad unexpectedly, so after just making a sympathy card the day before for another similar situation I find myself at my desk again for the same reason two days in a row. Sad...

I was limited on time with everything going on this time of year, so I just used pieces from the same paper pad I used yesterday and went to work.

I had this base already cut on my desk...it's a very pretty blue...I thought soft and soothing...I embossed with a folder that I felt complimented the pretty image that provided a subtle background for the focal sentiment.

I found my inspiration at Crazy 4 Challenges select a sketch. I went with 386.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Thinking of you with Deepest Sympathy

Hello~

Long time no share! Life is just tracking along (faster than I care for), so it leaves no time for things that I miss so like craftying.

I do create for things here and there, but haven't posted them...unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card and thought I would pop this on here.

I used a sketch from Sunday Stamps for inspiration and this card was completed in 10 minutes which is huge for me.  I had a very small window of opportunity, so I went for it.

I love this willow tree! It's one of my favorite images and I have a lot!:))) I had scraps laying on my desk from a previous make and I used all those and it came together quickly. I distressed the edges for some added texture.

Here is the inspiration from Sunday Stamps.

I am also sharing at Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes

I hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

Thanks Coach

Hello! I'm popping in to share a card I created for my son's Little League Coach! They went all the way to the championship, but were defeated by the number 1 seed. It was a great year and fun to dip back into Little League again. My son has played travel ball only the last few years..this year he has done both, so we have been busy.

To create my card, I started by adhering my textured velvet stripped patterned paper to my kraft card base. I stamped a wood grain pattern onto kraft cardstock and rounded the corners. I stamped the Thanks sentiment (Reverse Confetti In a big way) in the upper right corner of the wood grain panel and die cut the word coach out from red cardstock and adhered to the wood grain piece. I stamped a baseball and bat (PTI 7th Inning Stretch) and added them for finishing touches.

Inspiration was found from this great sketch at Sunday Stamps:

Thanks - You're a Class Act

Hello~

This is the last week of school here in my neck of the woods, and this very well may be my last teacher card I make. We will see, I don't quite know what to expect next year, but I have a feeling this is it.

To create my card, I started by first creating a green card base. I then adhered a piece of apple patterned paper I had in my stash. Following the sketch from Reverse Confetti SFYTT June, I cute three panels from patterned paper also from my stash of scraps. The apple was cut using felt.
I used the following products from Reverse Confetti to complete the card adding some finishing touches of enamel dots and trimmings to complete the look.
Here is the sketch!

You are for a fact Amazing: Mother

Good Day!

I hope your week has been going well as we are halfway through already!
I have another Mother's Day card to share. I had lighting issues as Mother Nature was not on my side. It's so much prettier in person!

I started with a Cameo Coral 5 x 5 card base onto which I added my patterned paper.  Lace trim was added to both sides of my stamped panel. I die-cut a circle from burlap and added two paper leaves and a beautiful cabbage rose flower to the center. A bow was added embellished with a button to complete the card.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello~

Are you getting spring where you are?  It's still down right chilly in my part of the world. I froze at my son's little league game last night.

So, I brought a little spring in this Mother's Day card.

I started by creating a 5 x 5 card base onto which I added my patterned papers. I tried to use up supplies I've had in my stash. A length of crochet trim was added to the card front along the transitioning paper patterns. I painted a chipboard butterfly and roughed it up for a vintage feel and added it to the center of a blue daisy embellishing further with a yellow rose to the center.

A seam binding bow was added and layered with raffia adding a silver button to the center. I stamped Happy Mother's Day in black ink in the lower right corner.  Lastly, a few sequins were scattered for a final finishing touch.

Thank You for a Teacher!

Hello again~

I am back and was happy I found the chance to make the second card I needed for my son's other teacher!

I am going to miss making these cards! Especially with the supplies sitting available in my crafting room. I am hoping maybe I can still make these cards in the future:)))

I used inspiration from a sketch! It's always fun to have a jumping point!
Sweet Sunday Sketch - I rotated the image.

Using stamp and tag die from My Creative Time, papers from my scrap pile, and my Cricut Preserves cartridge. The Gold Star I've had, and I used an ABC embossing folder on the yellow background cardstock for the apple to tie the school theme together.

I hope you have a Fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend ahead!

Teacher Appreciation Thank You!

Hello~

Well, this will probably be the last year of making teacher cards as it's our final journey in elementary school.

Unfortunately, it has not been the best school year for my son. He has had a great experience for the most part at the elementary level. This year has not been one of the better ones.  It makes me sad for him.

Anyway, here is my share!
No new paper or card stock was harmed in the making of this card...ha! Every single piece on here was pulled from scraps!

I used the current Die Cuttin' Divas sketch for inspiration. I took a little creative liberty with it. :))) I am also joining at Hiding in my Craft Room - Freestyle and Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes. All dies and stamps are from Reverse Confetti.

Here is the sketch!
Well that's it for me!

I hope you have a Terrific Thursday!

Tractor Birthday

Hi and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I don't have a St. Patrick's card or treat to share with you...it's been forever since I have been crafty, so this may be it for awhile. :)))) I do miss having time to make those things.

Even being a Mom of a boy, those boy cards are a challenge for me.

I started this card by trimming and piecing together patterned papers from my scrap stack and adhering to the framed cardstock base.  I then took a length of baker's twine and wrapped it vertically around the card front and tied in a bow at the top of the card.

A Small Glassine Bag was added to the front ready to be decorated. I used the Cricut Cartridge Boys Will be Boys to cut the tractor. I added two silver sequins to the tires for an added decorative touch. I stamped a Happy Birthday Sentiment (My Creative Time) in a cloud.  Lastly, the gift card was added and ready for the giving.

I am joining in the fun at: House of Cards

"Make a Scene" and/or use this color inspiration~

I don't know what it is, but I just love the above photo and colors. I know I am aching for warmer weather and summer.

I did come across this last night. This is my little guy 10 years ago....sigh...where does the time go?

That's it for me! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

10th Birthday Card

Hi!

{I am honored that this card was chosen as one of the "Sweet Seven" on 3/19/17 at  Cupcake Inspirations}

So I don't know about you, but we are having some lovely burst of winter weather right before spring. {Not a fan}.

Don't get too excited, but I have a card to share again. :))))

I started this card by using a gray card base and adding a pink polk-a-dot patterned paper to the base.  In the lower right corner I stamped a Happy Birthday greeting from My Creative Time.  I die-cut a frame from white card stock with a die from the 4x4 Journal Die set at My Creative Time. I stamped Decorative butterflies from DeNami Designs to the frame in pink and green ink.  In the center of the frame a green polk-a-dot chipboard was added with a die-cut 10th in gray (My Creative Time).

For visual interest, green patterned paper was added just above the greeting. A length of white seam binding was wrapped around the card front embellished with Limeade Trendy Twine and a gray paper flower dressed up with a pink button brad. Lastly, sequins were added throughout for further embellishing.

I am going to share in the fun at Cupcake Inspirations

City Crafter Challenge. The butterflies and the spring green.
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

May You find Peace and Love in the Memories you Cherish

Hi and Happy Monday!

I am not even sure anyone will even see this as it's been ages since I have signed on to this blog and months since I had stepped foot in my crafty space.  I just stated the other day I miss crafting. Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card, and I just didn't want to buy an impersonal one. I never make these ahead of time because I don't want to have to ever need one I guess.

It felt good to get crafty again, but boy am I rusty!
I started this card by using a Kraft base which I adhered polka dot patterned paper to a piece of blue cardstock which I distressed.
I then wrapped a length of gold textured ribbon horizontally around the card front and tied a fluffy bow which I embellished with an aqua flower centered with a silver heart.

A tag was cut and layered from patterned paper and adhered to the right edge of the card. Silver and White Twine were added to the top of the tag. The frame was stamped in Aqua Mist ink and the sentiment (My Craft Spot) was stamped in Jet Black Ink in the center.

Lastly, the butterfly was stamped and gold-embossed on vellum and hand cut.  Gold and silver sequins were scattered throughout to complete the card.
