Make a Wish...

Hi Lovelies!

**I am so excited and honored that this card was chosen as Top 3 at The Kraft Journal on 6/5/12 and Top 3 honors at My Craft Spot on 6/6/12**

We have a photo inspiration for you over on the Inspired By Stamping Inspirational Challenge blog.

Here is my card!

I started with a kraft card base adding a touch of vintage white paint to the edges.  I pieced my damask patterned paper to my embossed kraft panel which had been painted and sanded which you will be able to see below. A length of crochet trim was added where the pieces met.
Two hearts were die-cut, one from vintage book print and the other was stamped with an image from  Delicate Doilies adding a pearl to the center. A sentiment from Big Wishes was stamped and hand-cut into a banner and placed to the lower right of the card front.
A vintage tag from THATB was added to the right side of the card embellishing with crochet trim, pearls and flowers.
A banner was cut using vintage book print and embellished with buttons and twine! Adding a banner tab at the upper right with more pearls.  For a finishing touch a fussy seam binding bow and flower was added.

Further inspiration was found at The Kraft Journal - Emboss and Embellish. My Craft Spot - Buttons and Bows

I thank you so much for coming by and I hope you have enjoyed my share for today! I think it might be my favorite card I have made to date! I hope you will join us this week. I love to see your beautiful creations.

Till next time!
~Tammy~

Thank You Parisian style

Hi!

**I am thrilled that this card received the Comet Award from Papercraft Star on 6/5/12**

I first want to say thanks to all those who have given me well wishes. I am still not feeling great, but your thoughts have been wonderful and with that I give you my many thanks! I also want to say hello to my new followers. I don't take that lightly that you want to stop by from time to time. I appreciate each of my friends very much.

With that, I have a Thank you card inspired by you!
I started with a Kraft card base and added some white craft paint. I pieced together my paper layers to include an embossed panel using the letterpress technique. A paper doily was added and touched with some Tumbled Glass distress inks.  I stamped the Eiffel Tower image on to a downloadable digi from The House Across The Bay which I was fortunate enough to win at a Papercraft Star challenge. I liked how it looks like you are looking at the Eiffel Tower out the window! That would be bliss to have that view!
The Key was stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed in an aqua embossing powder using a heat tool. Some pearls and flowers were added for an embellishing touch.
A length of seam binding was added and tied in a fussy bow and embellished with a button, twine and a sentiment for a finishing touch.

I was also inspired by these challenges:

Thank You for visiting me! It means so so much!

Happy Father's Day : You're Classic

Hi!

Well, it's time to start thinking about Father's Day Cards...and if you have popped by my blog long enough you have heard me talk about the "Dreaded Man Card". Give me, pinks, aquas, ribbon, and bling any day!!! With those pretties, I have no problems whipping up a card, but there in lies the problems "pretties"! I can't very well do that for a guy can I???

Well, here is what I have for you today!
I started this card with a Vanilla card base, and added a strip of textured patterned paper at the bottom.  I then added a row of tickets which I distressed to give a vintage touch.
I die-cut a standard circle nestie and stamped the Classic Car from Wilson Designs' American Classics adding the Happy Father's Day sentiment from Wilson Designs' Nauti-Cool. Next I hand-cut a sentiment banner stamping You're Classic to add below the focal image.

Before placing the focal image in the center, I hand-cut a mailing tag out of cork adding my brown grosgrain ribbon on the end. The fun part begins with embellishing with some brown and cream buttons. A star that was cut from an old vintage book print embellished with a brown button in the center. For a finishing touch, another ticket to the upper right side of the buttons was added.

Thank you for some much needed inspiration at The City Crafter Challenge - Ticket To Ride.  You had to have a mode of transportation and at least one ticket on your card.

Little Red Wagon - Father's Day

Before I go, I thought I would share a few pictures with you from our visit to Arlington National Cemetery yesterday. We arrived while the President was laying his wreaths, but we did not go to the ceremony as they had a stop movement by the Secret Service.

 A Presidential Wreath

Thank you for letting me share, and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Merry Monday 22 - Guest Designer

Hi!

It's Memorial Day in the US, and it's a wonderful time to reflect and pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

I was so delighted to be asked by Lesley to guest design with her and the Merry Makers this week for the Merry Monday challenge. As I have stated before, her sketches make it easy to create and no interference with mojo. You got to love that!

I went for fun and non-traditional this week! I think it's all the Tropical Christmas' living in Hawaii or the kick start to summer weather we are having, but here is my card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.

I used Wilson Designs : Snowy Wishes.  I added lots of pink bling to the hula snowlady's arms. I created a cute little hula skirt to compliment her shell top! I had some various tropical papers from a local scrapbook store in Hawaii and they coordinated nicely with some Stampin' UP! papers from last year.

Here is the fabulous sketch by Lesley! I hope you will join in and play along!

I am a warm and tropical kinda girl, so I loved my warm winters in Hawaii, and I hope you enjoyed my tropical Christmas card today! Don't forget to visit the rest of the Merry Makers for some inspiration!
Have a great start to your week!
~Tammy~

Shabby Garden Birthday Card

Hello~

I hope you all are doing well. Not feeling a 100%, but sharing a card I made but have not posted yet.  The weather has not been very sunny, so my pics are not great. I have tried a couple of times to reshoot. I guess I am just gonna role with it.
I used a variety of pretty things to create this card. I had a die-cut from K & Company in my stash with some pretty flowers and a sweet scripted saying that I thought was the perfect look for this card.

Lots of doilies, pearls, buttons and lace Oh my. Oh yes, and Roses too!
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping All Year Wishes II.

I hope you enjoyed this shabby birthday card. I was inspired by The Shabby Tea Room - Garden Party.

Be Merry and Bright

Hi!

(For my Wilson Designs Release American Classic's Card click here)

Hope you are enjoying the start to your weekend.

I have not been feeling well lately, so I apologize for not making the rounds. I had a pretty good day Thursday, so I mustered up some energy to get crafty.  I am just now getting around to posting.

I have another Christmas card to share. I am determined to knock as many of these out as I can.  Now if only someone would start a Halloween and Thanksgiving challenge. :-)

I love to make Christmas cards that are non-traditional  colors, but I went classic today.
I used a Waltzingmouse sentiment from Seasons of Love and some pretty roses from my stash. I added some rhinestones near the sentiment because when I think of Merry and BRIGHT, I think of pretty shinny things like bling! What girl doesn't! :-)))  At the top of my focal point, a few pearls were added for a tad more glam.

I used another lovely sketch by Lesley for the current Merry Monday challenge. I never have lack of mojo working with her sketches which is fabulous when you are not feeling 100%.
I am also joining in the Rudolph Day Challenge that Sandra host.
Thanks for popping in!

Wilson Designs: May 2012 Release Project Introducing American Classic's

So happy to have you back for the last day of the Wilson Designs Release for May.
Another fun retro card to share!  I would like a car like this! :-)))) Since in real life it may be a little more difficult to find a car as you see here, paper piecing my images allows me the luxury so to speak! :-) Fun patterned papers compliment this set  and made creating this card a breeze!
A length of satin gray ribbon was tied to the left side of the card front embellishing with a flower and sentiment brad. A sentiment banner was cut and stamped with You're Classic. Buttons were added as finishing touch.

Now it's time to introduce you to American Classic's.

Guest Designer for Playing In Paradise Challenge 68

Hi!

I was fortunate enough to win a Playing in Paradise challenge, and was asked to be a guest designer. This week comes with a color challenge.

Here is my card:
I started with an aqua card base and applied my pieced papers. A green zig zag border was added to the center.  A length of brown satin ribbon was added to the left side of the card front pleating the top finishing off with some twine, button and a yellow rose for a decorative touch.
An oval nestie was cut and some fun decorative tape was added down the center. The typewriter image is from Wilson Designs Ride Away with Me which was stamped in Vintage Sepia on Kraft Cardstock. A beautiful yellow bloom was added.
The Thinking of You sentiment is also from Wilson Designs Ride Away With Me

Here is your color inspiration for the week. I hope you will join in and play along.
Definitely not my go to colors, but that is why I like a challenge.

I hope you have a fantastic day!

Be Happy

Hi!

It's week 10 of the IBSIC, this week we have a sketch to use. Here is my card I have created for the challenge.
I started this card with a kraft card base. I then added some white craft paint to the base.  I then layered my patterned paper from The Old World stack by DCWV. I punched a border to attach to my lovely pink patterned paper followed by wrapping a length of seam binding from Deb's Simple Treasures and tying in a fussy bow embellishing with a white rose.
For the focal area, a rectangle of Kraft cardstock was cut and layered with a piece of patterned paper also from The Old World Stack.  A sentiment was added to the die-cut piece. A picket fence was punched and painted adding some beautiful flowers to the lower right corner. Finishing touches include rhinestones, buttons and pearls.

I found further inspiration at The Shabby Tea Room. :-)
and The City Crafter Challenge Blog. A Rose is a Rose :-)
Squiggle Stamps - Ribbons and Roses and
Ribbon Carousel  - Fancy Flowers

It's now your turn to link up your version of the IBSIC sketch above.  I can't wait to see what you create!
Thanks for taking a look.
