Merry Christmas to You and Yours!

Hello all! We are prepping for the big day around here, and there’s SO much to do!

We have made our journey across the ocean and staying with my family in Florida for a few months before we move on to our next duty station.

I am not sure if I will be able to get inky soon, but I know I am already going through withdrawal. Living out of suitcases and moving stinks! I am enjoying being with family again! :-)

Enjoy the lights, glitter and cheer. :)
Merry Christmas from my family to yours…

OTWC Challenge #38

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am hoping this post finds you well and hoping this post finds you as I have scheduled ahead as my household good are packed up this week, so I am going to be MIA for awhile.  They originally were suppose to be gone the week of Thanksgiving, but the life of Military is never dull, and our orders got changed a bit, so I got a few extra weeks with our household belongings.

Onto this week OTWC Color Challenge! We are sponsored by a fabulous company this week Skipping Stones Designs and they just have the best images from elegant, to darling, and down right funny! Please be sure to check them out and let them know the Design Team from Off The Wall Craftiness sent you!
I created a background using one of the stamps in Timeless Textures.  Next I stamped this beautiful butterfly from Healing Wings and cut it out. Next I bent the wings upward and glued the center of the butterfly down and I added some beautiful pink rhinestones for a finishing touch.
The Sentiment is also from Healing Wings. "Gratitude Unlocks the Fullness of Life"
Here are the beautiful colors this week! Pink, Red, and Lime Green
Now it's your turn to join in the challenge! Go to OTWC for the details. Be sure to go to the other design team blogs for inspiration and show them some love.  Thanks for stopping by! It will be awhile before I will be posting again! I won't be able to craft for a long time (gasp), but I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful Christmas!

Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #37

Hello There!
I have another card for the Off The Wall Craftiness Color Challenge.  This weeks inspiration colors and photo got me in the Valentine spirit! :-)
I used 4 stamps from the fabulous new set Ride Away With Me from Wilson Designs I added some Pink Sorbet baker's twine from The Twinery I just love this stuff!!!
My CAS Valentine card!
Look at the goodness in the inspiration this week!
This weeks sponsor is  Just Imagine Crafts, so head over to OTWC to get the details for this weeks challenge.

One last note I received an award from a very talented doll Colleen Dietrich. You must visit this wonderful lady's blog for some talented inspiration. She has the ability to seek inspiration from anything and use that in her card making.

Rules that accompany this award:
1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this
2. Share 8 things about yourself
3. Pay it forward to bloggers that you have recently discovered

Eight random things about me:
  1. I have lived in Hawaii 9 years and will be leaving the land of aloha in just a week to embark on yet another adventure the military has in store for us.
  2. I lived in the same house till I was married (minus college), but have lived in Alabama (twice), Georgia, and the North Country of New York,  and now Hawaii (that's a lot considering I have lived in Hawaii for 9).
  3. I craft to de-stress and unwind. It clears my head.
  4. Before I was a SAHM, I was a butt and gut nurse! :-) I really worked with buttholes all day!!!
  5. I love the beach or to be near the water.
  6. I grew up in Florida, so I really hate the cold. Hawaii weather suits me very well.
  7. I love to read, but find lately it's impossible for me to finish a book.
  8. I love McCoy pottery and antiques and I like to mix the old with the new.
And now to pass this award on to bloggers I have recently discovered:
Amy Kolling she is my fellow Design Team Member at Off The Wall Craftiness as well as Wilson Designs and I love her "thinking outside the box" techniques! Her projects are amazing and inspiring! She takes amazing photographs of her projects too! {sigh}
Diane Jaquay has an eye for detail and the wonderful ability to make each card feel like she made it just for you! She can create CAS or Shabby vintage cards! Another talent I have recently enjoyed visiting.
Wendy Elliot I first discovered when I started playing DeNami Design Challenges and is so creative and her work is always flawless and delicious to the eye!

That's it for me tonight! I look forward to seeing what you create. I will do my best to comment, but our household goods are being packed out on the 13th.

I am inspired by so many for so long, but this award was to go to recently discovered. I am inspired by each and everyone of you.
Hugs!
~Tammy~

Merry Christmas Punch Through Card and Unique Tampon Angel.... What???

Hi~

{Edited Note: This card made DeNami Fabulous Three Spotlight Winner}...Happy Dance! :-)

I am back with another Christmas Card.  I came up short this year, so I am making a few before the movers come and pack my crafty things away for a few months. I know you are wanting to know about my subject line you will see..{wink}

I got some new DeNami goodies and I decided to ink those up.  My inspiration actually came from flipping through my old pictures of my own cards.  These pictures and cards go way back long before I even thought about a blog. I used to take just quick shots so if I wanted to recreate something I had a copy.  The pics are terrible and weren't really meant to be shared. Anyway, making the bottle cap card for the new Wilson Designs release got my wheels turning about the bottle cap cards I use to make calling a "Pop through" I don't know if there is a name for it, but that is what I called it since my bottle cap would pop through the top. So I decided to use that same concept with this card because the DeNami circle stamps work perfect with circle punches. (just no bottle cap :-) )
It's not off center...just hard to photograph
with the card open.
Here is a close up of the inside...

So, here is my inspiration from my old photos. It's a Halloween Card I made for a little girl!
Don't judge me please. It was several years ago when I did this just for family and friends and I had very little supplies! :-)   I've made other "pop through" cards where I stamped the image on the inside, and I thought a "pop through" would be a fun way to make this Christmas Card.

I am going to play along with the DeNami Product Challenge - Punches, Simon Says Stamp - Show A Holiday Greeting, Totally Paper Crafts - Christmas Punches, Sweet Stampin Challenge - Make  your own Backing Paper

Something I ran across today just cracked me up...angel ornaments out of Tampons. You can check it out here. I just have one question, was someone really sitting there looking at a box of tampons and thinking hmm, those would make some fine ornaments for the tree! REALLY? I will say it was pretty clever!  There are complete instructions if your little hearts desire to try this. If you do, please email or leave a comment with your link. I would LOVE to see it!
I hope your day is Merry and Bright!

Wilson Designs Ride Away With Me

Welcome back to Day 2 of Wilson Designs release day of Ride Away with Me.
How adorable is this bicycle built for two?
I just love the hearts for spokes!
I repeatedly stamped the bicycle in Real Red on Real Red cardstock for tone on tone imaging to create my own background paper to match my focal image which was stamped in Handsome Hunter all by Stampin' UP! My Merry Christmas greeting is from Wilson Designs Snowy Wishes. I added Christmas Red Stickles to the center of the bicycle spokes for a little glitz. I punched some snowflakes and added some buttons from my stash to the center for a wintery embellishment touch.

Up next is a sweet little card!
Anyone who really knows me, knows I love PINK!, so I couldn't help, but stamp this cute little bicycle built for two in PINK, and I just let the creativity go from there! I used designer paper from g.c.d. Studios which worked perfectly since I thought the hearts on the paper were a perfect match with the spokes on the wheels of the bicycle. (LOVE) This set has a background builder of a cluster of hearts which I used inside my heart followed by stamping this A-dorable sentiment Ride away with me in Chocolate Chip ink.  I lightly distressed the edges of my bicycle image and the heart sentiment image with vintage tea stain dye.
This set has a Valentine feel to it without screaming in your face HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! However, it's perfect for Valentine's Day too! It is so versatile you are just going to love it!

Check out to see what the rest of the design team is up to for your chance to win by leaving a comment on each of their blogs. While you are here, leave me a comment telling me what your looking forward to most during the holidays and what you think of our new release?

Red and White Oh My!

Hello~

(**For the Wilson Designs Sneak Peak click here**)

Just a quick post for you! I was inspired by a couple of color challenges out there that used Red and White which is such a pretty combination this time of year. My inspiration started with the polka dots which came from an article I saw in a magazine (I can't remember which one I was flipping through, but it wasn't one I owned). They used Big Red Polka Dots as a background to decorate for Christmas. Using that as my starting point, I decided to just use this on a quarter of the card.
I distressed my DeNami Designs Small Solid Circle to create the pattern I was looking for. You can achieve this distressed look by lightly rubbing a paper towel across the stamp before you stamp the image on your card.
I used the DeNami Designs Solid Decorative Crest to create a background paper on my red panel by using tone on tone stamping. I also used DeNami Designs Medium Curly Christmas Tree as my focal image stamping this in craft white. I added a snowflake decorative border to the side.  I added the punched snowflakes to the front of my card. I tied a satin white bow and wrapped another bow with red and white bakers twine! My Merry Christmas sentiment is from Wilson Designs Snowy Wishes!

Here are some challenges I am playing along with:
The Play Date Cafe: Red and White
DeNami Designs: Punches
Whoopsie Daisy: Ribbons and Bows

Thanks for stopping by!

Wilson Designs December Sneak Peak Day 1

Hi Friends!

I am here with a few sneak previews of the new Wilson Designs release! So let's get started!
I love this little typewriter that comes in this set. I knew right away that I wanted to create an old vintage feel with this card by inking and distressing the edges. The sentiment Hello on the typewriter is also a stamp from the new release. (Click on the image to enlarge it)
Here is a close up
The next card is just fun!
I started off with stamping the Heart image on Summer Sun card stock and then adding the L O V E to each heart and punching out with a 1 inch circle punch. I used Crystal Effects to secure in place to my bottle caps.
I adorned some dew drops below my ric rac for a fun little touch. I added my sentiment at the bottom I adore you.

Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #2

Hey there!

Can you believe that November has come and gone? I feel like 2010 was such a blur for me with a husband deployed for more than half of it. The second half I lost someone very special to me, focusing on selling a house, and trying to gear up to leave a place we have lived for 9 years. I feel like I have just bounced around and got through some how.

I played along in Jay Gee's Nook first challenge, and while I still have my crafty items available, I wanted to play along in her 2nd challenge. I love the inspiration photographs that she finds. It makes me want to run right to my crafting area and play along.

I started with Kraft cardstock from Stampin' UP! and added designer paper from The Angel Company (TAC) and distressed the edges with Vintage Tea Stain ink. I added a strip of red card stock I had in my stash and I stamped various images in VersaMark Ink from my Stampin' UP! Winter Post set and also adding the snowflake from Wilson Designs Snowy Wishes. It's the perfect little snowflake to add in between images. (**Wilson Designs has a new release next week so stay tuned!!**) I tied a red gingham ribbon knot around my red card stock to tie in with the inspiration photograph below.
I circle punched my designer paper and stamped in Soft Suede the post mark stamp and adhered it to my doily. I then stamped my Do Not Open til Dec 25 sentiment and added that to my card. Lastly, I embellished with two snowflakes adding gold dew drops to the centers.
I just couldn't resist the homespun feel of this photograph! There is something comforting about it don't you think?

I am also playing along with Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC95) - Have a doily look.

That's it for me today! Thanks for visiting!
