Tuesday Trigger on Friday...

Hey all!

**Wohoo this card made Top 3 at Card Crafter's Circle**

It's finally Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend?

It's been over a year I think since I have played along over at Moxie Fab or a Tuesday Trigger.  2011 was a crazy year without a lot of extra fun crafty time.  Here's to hoping that 2012 allows for that! :-)

Here is what I came up with for the current Tuesday Trigger!

I flat out had FUN with this one! I used several different card making goodies on this "number"! The stamps I used are Stampin' UP! Big Deal Numbers, Happy Birthday sentiment from Delightful Dahlia by PTI.

I hope you enjoyed my approach to the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger. It sure was fun creating it!

Celebrate...

Hi!

I have another BRIGHT card for you.  I had to laugh because I created a "scrappy" bright card yesterday that are the same exact colors in a challenge I came across today. I usually don't do brights that often, so my jaw fell open when I saw that Our Creative Corner has a color challenge to use Bright Pink, Bright Purple, Bright Yellow, and Bright Green plus theme your project around celebrations.   My card yesterday was a thank you. Too funny!

Here is what I came up with!

This card is quite a bit more simpler than yesterday's card, but I like it just the same, and I think I can get away with giving this to a guy!  (maybe?) I always need birthday cards in my stash, and I never have any that work well for guys because I tend to put buttons, lace, and fluffy bows. I had to refrain from adding bling to this number. *wink*

The stamps I used were from PTI: Dot Spot and Practicing Creativity: For The Love of Dots.   I adhered a die cut ric rac to the front panel. Lastly, I added my stamped focal panel to the Kraft card base.

Thank You Berry Much!

Hi

I needed a thank you note, so I went to my trusty scrap bin and put this number together. I also gave myself a challenge and that was to use stamps that have not seen ink yet.  I have had the Green Thumb stamp set by PTI for a long time using many images in this collection, but not the sentiment shown or the precious strawberry.

I started with a kraft card base and then just played around with some fun bright colors in my scrap pile!  I can assure you that my pile is not lessening even though I try and create from here first....might be a sign I have a lot of paper!!!!

I added some fun and bright buttons to coordinate with my papers and adding my sentiment from Green Thumb.

I am going to play along with The Kraft Journal: Anything Goes and Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge.

Just Us Girls Challenge - Wildcard Using Felt

Hello~

I know it's Tuesday, but it sure feels like Monday since everyone is getting back into their daily routines.

The new challenge at Just Us Girls is a wildcard. The challenge: To use felt on your creation.

Here is my creation.

For my creation I started with a Basic Black card base, and used a variety of papers from DCWV and Stampin' UP! to adhere to the card base.  I added some crochet trim from my stash.  I used some PTI dies to arrange a focal area to display my felt butterfly.  I die cut the butterfly from PTI twice adding a button and some black May Arts twine and a Tim Holtz memory pin.

*Sorry my flash got a little happy! :-)*

I completed the card with a DeNami Designs sentiment from the Assorted Greetings Stamp set and some Ziva Creative rhinestones.

The Shabby Tea Room - Time Flies

Hi!

The Shabby Tea Room has a cute challenge this week. The Challenge: To create a card or project using the inspiration photo below and use SOMETHING WITH WINGS!

Here is a close up of what I came up with.

My card looks fairly simple, but it took a little longer due to the process of creating the tree branch which was a multistep process.

I actually took the tree trunk from My Favorite Things Sheltering Tree Set and stamped it in VersaMark Ink and covered it with clear embossing powder and then used my heat gun to set it. Next I used the coordinating die to cut it out. Next I grabbed my distress ink and started blending over the tree with my foam applicator. I started with Antique Linen, then blending Tea Dye and Vintage Photo.  I was inspired by the branch above the bed, so I just turned my "trunk" sideways. Next I stamped, colored and cut out the adorable owls from the same stamp set and added to my branch.

I distressed the edges with Vintage Tea Die, added some lace trim. I thought a heart paper doily was appropriate for this Valentine's card. (It came from a package my Mom picked up for me last year.)    Lastly I added a Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from Dandelion Designs.

A Rainbow of Thanks...

Hi Ya!

So how did the first day of the New Year treat you?  I am feeling much better, so I worked on cleaning up, catching up, and doing a ton of laundry after our guest left.  We also went ahead and took down our outside decorations since it was a warm 57 degrees today!  I even sorted through some things for Goodwill.  So, I treated myself to a little crafty time tonight.

I have a card today inspired by the latest Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.

The inspiration photo was so fun that I had to play along. 

I inked up Thanks from my NEW Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler and cut the sleighs with my Cricut Winter Woodland Cartridge. 

The cards entirety was created using scraps so I am playing along with Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge 1.  She is taking over for Jules this year.

I am also playing along with Wee Memories Challenge "New". I played with my new stamps from Paper Smooches!

Happy New Year!

Hard to believe that today is the last day of 2011.  In this household, the last year was one of many moves and changes, but we are happy to say we are finally settling in nicely.  We are looking forward to enjoying what life brings us in 2012. (Hopefully a lot less house projects)

We've had lots and lots of family in town, so I have been MIA from crafting and blogging, but look forward to getting back on track in 2012. Wouldn't trade the memories with family for the world.

Since I am a bit under the weather I challenged myself to make a card in 5 minutes or less. Anyone who knows me knows this is a CHALLENGE! We were very blessed this Christmas, so I have many Thank You notes to create, and I decided simple and fast is the way to go.

Another creation with supplies from my scrap pile! Since I had a role of this glittery cord, I thought that would be a great touch to the top. After fussing with a pretty bow, I noticed not so pretty for picture. (note to self check before picture taking)....we will blame it on the clogged head.

The sentiment is from Stampin' UP! Thank You Kindly stamp set.

A Kraft-y Christmas

It's me again with ANOTHER Christmas card today! That's what happens when you wait to the last minute to start working on things.

I adore Kraft and Red together, so this was a fun card to put together.

Hello again!

I have another Christmas Card to share!

I started with a Kraft card base and added my red, green and white plaid designer paper.  I stamped this gorgeous pine wreath from DeNami Designs and added some snowflakes for a wintery touch.  Next I added a Wilson Designs Merry Christmas sentiment in the center and completed this festive number by adding lace, ribbon and button trimmings. 

I am going to play along with the JUGS challenge this week.

Pals Paper Arts and DeNami Designs

Hi!

I have a quick and simple card that I put together to go in a little gift for my son's swim coach. Tonight is his last lesson as we are taking a break for a couple of months.

I used the sketch challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts for my layout.

The gift is Pink and Green so I used that as a base for my color choices and pitched in some red.  I started with a Real Red card base, followed by Whisper White then Positively Pink which I embossed using Stampin' UP! dots for added texture.   

I used DeNami Designs Medium Curly Christmas Tree in SU Gable Green ink. The Merry Christmas Circle sentiment is also from DeNami Designs. 

For added fun, I added some pink and red stickles to the tree and button!

I am going to play along again with the Current DeNami Designs Christmas Theme challenge.

DeNami Designs Christmas Theme Challenge and Fascinating Fridays Jen Shears

I am back with another Christmas Card to share with you for the DeNami Designs Theme Challenge.

Another simple but fun little card! I love Aqua and Red together especially at Christmas, so once I gathered most of my pieces (mostly from my scrap pile) I went to work.  I used DeNami Designs Large Stocking as my focal image.  I used DeNami Designs Medium Polka Dots to create a fun patterned paper for the toe and heal.

The sentiment is from DeNami Designs Holiday Greetings stamp set.  I finished off this little number with a button and some aqua pearls!

Merry and Bright

Hi!

I am on a roll with quick Christmas cards thanks to some great challenges. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a slow card maker. It takes me forever deciding what stamps, embellishments, or papers I want to use. That is not happening this week because of all the holiday hustle and bustle.

So, I share with you another quick make.

I had the assistance using the fun colors over at the ColourQ Challenge blog.

I started with a Whisper White card base and then stamped Glorious Green on Green Galore panel using DeNami Designs Medium Polka Dot background stamp.  I added a Real Red panel to complete the top layer. For my focal image, I used Regal Rose ink to stamp DeNami Designs Medium Brushed Flake.

Next finishing off with a cute sentiment, button, red twine, and a little pink bling in the center of my snowflake.

I have a quick Christmas card I put together for the Young Crafters Unite Challenge:  Use Dies on a project.

I thought this was a fun little challenge to jump on board with.  Considering I was without my die cutting machine and dies for a good bit this year, I am trying to catch up on loss time (just like an old friend. *wink*).

Since I don't have a lot of extra time during this busy time of year, I kept it simple using some fun Spellbinders dies. I just love these Heirloom Ornaments.  Today I used a coordinating stamp set by WalzingMouse Stamps called Vintage Ornaments and a sentiment from Compliments of the Season also by WalzingMouse.

I know everyone is busy, so I will keep this short and sweet!

Here is what I have for you today!

I had so much fun creating this little gift wrapping ensemble!

My neighbors do a homemade yummy gift exchange each Christmas.

I thought I would do something different and something 

they can make a little later since everyone is going to

be getting so many goodies at once.

My inspiration started with the fun Christmas material for my

jar lid.  

For the jar, I started with the Medium Curly Christmas Tree 

in PINK. I then created my own background paper using the

Small Solid Circle to simulate the material on the lid.

Next I went to work on my tag for the gift bag.  I stamped the

tree from The Winter Fun Gift Set in VersaMark ink and embossed

with clear embossing powder.  

For the sentiment, I stamped Holiday Cheer from the

Holiday Greetings Set.

For the gift bag, I used the tree from The Winter Fun Gift Set but using

red ink on pink card stock and adding green holiday stickles

to the tops of each tree. 

I used the EK Success Double Embossed border punch to finish

things with a decorative touch.

Old Saint Nick and Fascinating Fridays: Kelley Eubanks

Hi all!

Well the Christmas Season is in full swing, and I am finding less and less time to craft these days.

Sorry for not getting around to visit your wonderful crafty talents, but I have been on the move as soon as my feet hit the floor till I collapse in bed. Hopefully, I will be able to catch up soon!

I have a quick little Christmas card to share with you. I was moving some things around my desk, and I found some scraps.  Needing a little crafty break. I created a card from my scraps which always lets me join in the fun at Jules Crafty Snippet Challenge.  Even my card base was left over from another make. A friend cut Old Saint Nick out from one of her Christmas cards she received a couple of years ago.   She thought I could use it on one of my cards one day. The bulb was cut from patterned paper using a Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die.

I thought I would also join in The City Crafter Challenge Santa Clause is Coming to Town and The Kraft Journal Christmas Cards.  This card was put together so fast since I just grabbed things within reach.  How about you, do you ever do that for a quick make?
