I have a little gift set to show you today. Who doesn't love a little Philosophy packaged up sweetly??  I used the products as my color inspiration so everything would coordinate nicely. 

As you can see my gift topper showcases the lipstick image which has been paper pieced with the coordinating papers. The sentiment is also from the new release.

First Birthday Wishes

Hi~

One of our neighbor's granddaughter is turning 1, so here is the card to celebrate the occasion.

I literally started this card like I do most of my cards...shopping my stash. I knew I had some bright fun papers in there I just had to keep digging! :-))) Viola! I rounded the bottom two corners and I adhered to my kraft card base.  I found some Lilac polka-dot patterned paper which was die cut into a large scalloped border. A pink eyelet border was die cut and layered above the scalloped border and applied to the center of my multi-colored patterned paper. 

A scrap of Whisper White that was die cut from Taylored Expressions serves as the focal base which was stamped using DeNami Designs Birthday Wishes Circle. Inside the circle, a darling little birthday hat is stamped from DeNami Designs Birthday Celebration set. Next is just lots of layering fun and cute papers bringing the focus to the 1! For a finishing touch, a few clouds were diecut from some adorable plka-dot paper!

Aren't all those papers just cute together! See, it pays to shop your stash! :-))))

Inspiration for this sweet little card was found at JayGee's Nook.  My focal inspiration was driven from the photo of the place setting and of course the colors.

Wilson Designs April 2012 Release Day 3

Welcome back for Day 3 of the Wilson Designs April release. Today I am showing you a set of shaped cards that can be used as invites.

Cute huh!  I used my cricut to get the card base. The high heel shoe was stamped and paper pieced.  A fun zig zag polka dot border was added for a decorative flair. The Girls Night is from Spring Silhouettes.  No girly card is complete without a little bling! 

This is an easy way to put together quick invites for a Girls Night Out! They are fun Cute and Quick!

Wilson Designs April 2012 Release Day 2

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome back to the Wilson Designs Day Two Sneak Peeks, and I have another card to share with you today!

It is another CAS make, but I LOVE how it turned out! The colors are so fun and girly! :-))))

I stamped the perfume bottle in Tuxedo Black on some fun Damask Patterned paper from the Cupcake Craftroom and placed in the center of a shaped die cut adding some pearls for a bit of a feminine touch. A focal strip panel was created to the right portion of the card front by layering a piece of pink patterned paper onto a strip of black card stock.  To complete this card, a sentiment was stamped to the lower right corner of the card face.

Wilson Designs April 2012 Release Day 1!

Hello There Lovelies!

Welcome to the first day of the April Countdown to the Wilson Designs Release!  Today is my first share for the release this month.

I started this card by randomly stamping the heart diamond in fun bright inks on Whisper White cardstock panel. The panel was then added to a piece of bright pink patterned paper which had it's right corners rounded and adhered to a Whisper White card base which also has the right corners rounded. 

I then placed the hand-cut, paper pennants, one of which was stamped in black ink with the smaller heart diamond image border from the new release. The cute purse was stamped and cut and popped up with foam mounting tape. The Happy Birthday  sentiment is from Wilson Designs Everything's Owlright.

DeNami Designs Ravishing Ribbons Blog Hop

For my ribbon creations, I created a ribbon flower 

as well as adding

one of my fussy seam binding bows.

A sentiment tag was created using the Thinking of You sentiment

from the Thoughtful Greetings sentiment set. A background

was created on the tag using the Mini Starlet.

A frame was created using a Sizzix die.

The Medium Polka Dot border was used 

to create a background and the 

Round Leafy Tree was added

and colored in with copics.

All Hearts Come Home For Christmas

Hi There!

What Christmas in April....yes, no time like the present to get started on those Christmas cards especially as the holidays approach things get hectic. That is why I think the year round Christmas Challenges out there are pure genius. It can really help you get some of those cards made. I need motivation with flowers blooming, birds singing and sun brightly shining.

Here is my Christmas Card inspired by the Merry Monday Challenge.

To get started I created my own chipboard embellishment out of a Cheerios Box and painted it (not very neatly) with white craft paint.

This is the back! Recycling at it's best!

The front with some paint slapped on and sanded.

Next I cut the coordinating hearts and stamped the sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps Seasons of Love and distressed the images with vintage tea stain. 

I took a kraft card base and embossed with my Cuddlebug Swiss dots embossing folder for some added texture which coordinated with the patterned paper I chose for the middle strip. To tie in the heart focal images, a punched heart border was adhered below the polka dotted patterned paper. Next blue checked gingham patterned paper was cut into a scalloped rectangle to border the snowflake paper found in my scrap pile which has had the edges distressed. 

All that was left was to adhere the the heart sentiment embellishment and add some crafty white paint. to the card base for a shabby touch!

Well, you made it to Friday, and it's almost time to start the weekend!

I can't seem to get off my kick of pink and green lately.  I went digging in my scrap box and this is what we have today! :-)))) I am almost positive my scraps multiply at night. (Sort of like laundry)

I started with a standard A 2 kraft card base. I found some confetti cream cardstock in my stash that I embossed using the Distressed Stripes embossing folder using the letter press technique. I really love the pink in the background.

A strip of pink gingham checked patterned paper was cut and applied along with a length of green satin ribbon to the lower portion of the card front. Some diecut circles were mounted to the left side of the card front acting as a focal point for the paper pieced strawberry from Wilson Designs Strawberry Lemonade set.  A fussy seam binding bow embellished with a button, twine, and a sentiment tag was placed just lower right of the strawberry focal image.  A touch of cream kraft paint was added for a shabby look. To complete the look, three pink buttons were applied vertically to the upper right corner of the card front.

Happy Birthday - Skipping Stones Designs

Hi there!

How has your week been going??? It's getting closer to the weekend and we have a busy, but fun one coming up!

I started this card by stamping a background from Skipping Stones Designs Timeless Textures in Stick Candy Green by Jenni Bowlin ink and cutting into a square followed by distressing the edges and adhering to the Kraft card base.

A length of pink crochet trim was added slightly overlapping the hand stamped background.  Some green baker's twine was horizontally wrapped several times over the top of the crochet trim and tied off in a bow. The Happy Birthday sentiment from Skipping Stones Grunge Set was stamped in Momento Rich Cocoa ink to the lower right corner of my card.

The musical background from Timeless Textures provided the stage for the two glittered butterflies from Healing Wings which have also had their edges slightly distressed and their wings bent upward. For a finishing touch, some white craft paint has been added to the kraft card base.

I found my color inspiration from Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.

Hi ya!

It seems that this week is getting away from me...we are in full swing of activities around here, so my crafty time is happening in spurts.

I have a cute little scalloped circle card today.

I started with Barely Banana textured cardstock and created a scalloped circle card using the large scallop circle in my Big Shot. I adhered my blue gingham checked patterned paper to the scalloped circle card base. A coordinating yellow Labels 4 die cut was added to mat my paper pieced focal image and sentiments which are from Wilson Designs Strawberry Lemonade.  A banner was created and strung diagonally adding buttons to complete the card.

The inside was decorated to coordinate with the card front. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Wilson Designs Scoot Away With Me.

I found inspiration for this card at The Shabby Tea Room : Birthday Bash inspiration photo. You also had to use a cupcake on your card. I was inspired by the banners on one of the cupcakes. :-))))

I am also joining in the fun at My Craft Spot: Inside and Out and Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge...jumping on the swings using up some more scraps on this tasty treat. 

So more happy news my Handmade flower card was an Honorable Mention Cup of Tea Last week at The Shabby Tea Room.  So delighted and honored! Thank you!

**WooHoo This card is a Top Three Winner at Inspired By Stamping Inspirational Challenge 4/11/12 and Top Three Winner at The Kraft Journal 4/17/12**

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well and you had a wonderful Easter full of blessings!  I am popping in with a card using some pretty pastel tones today along with some beautiful flowers.

I just love these colors together.  I started this card by taking a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock and using the letterpress technique.  I inked up the lattice embossing folder using New Sprout ink and ran it through my Big Shot. As you can see, this gives the lattice impression along with the subtle green in the background.  A strip of yellow checked, gingham patterned paper was added to the bottom of the lattice paper rounding the corners of the right card front to match the rounded corner of my Kraft card base. A length of beautiful lace trim was added across the lower portion of the card front.

I added a hand dyed doily to the card front next adding a strip of floral patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Market Street collection I had left over from another make. A star was diecut and stamped from Waltzingmouse: Seasons of Love in New Sprout Ink. The sentiment was added to the center in Versafine  Vintage Sepia inking the edges with Tea Dye. Various paper roses were added to the top. A row of buttons were threaded with twine and added to the card to complete the look.

I was greatly inspired by the color challenge at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge.
