Hey there!
I have made it no secret on the ol blog that I don't care to make masculine cards and it always gets me in trouble because when I need one I don't have one and then I am forced to make one under the wire and yadda yadda yadda!!! So guess what I have for you today???? A dreaded man card!
So with a little help from the Deconstructed Sketch - My Dreaded Man Card!
I made this in like 20 minutes which is a miracle in itself unless I am trying to challenge myself and make a card for the 10 minute Craft Dash.
I am going to seriously keep this post short and sweet! I have to race out the door to get my son to an appointment, but had to have the card ready to prepare a box for mailing tonight.
The Stamps are from Stamping Scrapping and they Coordinate with Spellbinders Dies. Love that!
So I totally had to add a button and bow and yep pearls. Sorry! Just had to, but it's a hemp twine bow! That works right??? Hey, at least I didn't add a fussy seam binding bow and a doily right?!?!?!
As mentioned, inspiration found at Deconstructed Sketch 87.
Tossing my hat in at Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes!
Thanks for peeking! Have a terrific Tuesday!

Oh you gave me a giggle today! The dreaded man card turned out SUPER DUPER!! Love all of the patterns and yes the twine bow is "manly" even with the button. Hey they wear button up shirts right!!??!!
Sketches are awesome for DMC's, I think! Love the patterns you went with - and hemp? My embellishment of choice on most DMCs!

great card, fab colors, and despite the pearls...definitely manly...besides, don't manly cowboys have those pearly snap buttons on their shirts?
It's a great manly, manly card, pearls and all! Those are the most challenging, I agree. I love the mix of patterns you've selected for this card.
lol Tammy! Your post left me smiling. I dread the man card too. Haha. But this is wonderful! Great dark colors perfect for masculine cards. All in all, I think you did a great job! :)
Masculine cards are not easy for me either! But you made one fine masculine card with a great take on the sketch! Have a great week, hugs!

You are so funny, Tammy! I'm with you on the man cards---so much harder to make than all the others!!! But this totally works, girl!! LOVE the rich colors/patterns, the layers on the focal point and that hemp twine!
I don't like masculine cards or masculine sympathy cards, but we do have to make them once in a while! Love your card, though. I like how you added a button! :)
I'm with you on the male cards Tammy I just do them when I have to and then its panic mode. Love the design on yours and it fits the masculine bill perfectly and why can't they have pearls!! xx
