Joy To The World

Hi Ya'll!

Hope you are set to enjoy your weekend during this busy time of year. I have to start off by saying I had every intention of creating a flat card. I needed one for mailing far away. It didn't happen! It's hard for me to do it when I tell myself I have to do it. I guess the inner creative devil in me. :-)

So here is my "almost" flat card! Ha!

I started with a Brown Cover Weight Kraft Cardstock onto which I added my cute cute pattern paper by American Crafts. I die-cut a stitched journaling card from My Creative Time and placed to the right of my card front. I paper-pieced a tree from Paper Smooches All Yule Need to the right corner. From that same set, I added a sentiment and paper-pieced holly leaves and berries to upper left corner!

To complete the card, I added a double bow, button and twine. So out the window went my flat card!

Paper Sweeties December Release Rewind - Gift Set

Hi there!

It's the last day of the Paper Sweeties December Inspiration, and the rest of the Design Team as well as myself are bringing you projects that mix some old with the new!

I have a sweet little card and altered legal pad that comes with a matching pen to share today.  These are perfect for teachers, school office staff, neighbors, co-workers, family members....just about anyone. I love making them and the recipient always enjoys getting them.

So here we go!
I took the Paper Sweeties Stand Add-On-5 and I made a little gingerbread house out of it. I added the two sweet Gingers from Ho Ho Ho that was released last month. Tip: Order the Bundles and save. Ho Ho Ho is a set that has coordinating dies. The sentiment and sweet candy canes are from the current December release Have a Holly Jolly Holiday.

Now onto the card:
I used Sweet Cuts for Miss Emma and paper-pieced and colored her new outfit from Have a Holly Jolly Holiday.  I stamped and die-cut the Gingers again from Ho Ho Ho.  I rolled stamped my sentiment to give it an Ombre look and I added three sweet little stamped images from this new released stamp set as well. Little embellishing touches here and there completes the look and you have a sweet little matching set.

I hope you will visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they have created today!

Paper Sweeties Day 2 December release

Hey there!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties December sneak peeks!   Today the team is back sharing more projects with you and, I am glad you stopped by to visit for a bit.

I am sharing a pair of cute little glassine bags decorated with some wonderful new stamps.
I started by creating a set of tags using Vintage Holiday Postcards and Noel to dress up glassine bags which make darling packaging for gift card holders and a little sweet treat.
Making tags is so much fun and quite addicting!  The Paper Sweeties images are prefect compliments for such projects don't you think?
Hope this inspires you to make some thrifty, but cute packaging this Holiday season!

That's all I have to share today and I hope you enjoyed another day of peeks into a few of the Paper Sweeties stamps released this month. Stay tuned for more peeks over the next two days, but until then please visit my teamies to see what they have to share!

Paper Sweeties December 2013 Release Day 1 Sneak Peeks!

Hello Friends and welcome to Day 1 of the December Release for Paper Sweeties.

**Woohoo! Top 3 for this gift set at Craftin' Desert Divas on 12/8/13**

It's been busy the last few days on the blog here....if you are looking for The Ribbon Reel Shabby Christmas click here and The Kraft Journal post click here...it's a (DMC you know those cards I don't post often *wink*)

I am sharing two sets today that Paper Sweeties released live on December 1st.  I love to make hot chocolate gifts at Christmas, and I think it's fun to dress up and present them in a festive way. So today, I have a cute Snow Globe Card and Hot Chocolate gift with a darling tag.

On the card, I used stamps from: Thanks Snow Much! The embossed snowflakes you see in the background are from this set, as well as the cutie putie snowman and sentiment. This set comes with coordinating dies. {L O V E that} The little snowy hill is part of the set as well.
Now for the Jar, I just added some ingredients to make hot chocolate, cut some cute festive fabric for the lid topper, added some twine and tinsel and of course a darling tag with the cute little snow buddy, which is standing on a snow hill made from a die-cut that coordinates with the set. I just trimmed it to size. Lastly, I added a sentiment from Noel.
I hope you enjoyed the project I shared today. I hope it gets you excited about the new release. We are doing things blog hop style, so be sure to check out what the other ladies have cooked up for you!

The Kraft Journal 149 - Sketch Challenge - Masculine Birthday Card

Good Monday Morning To You!

For today's sketch challenge at The Kraft Journal, I thought this was a perfect sketch for a Dreaded Man Card (DMC) Which I have lovingly referred to on my blog many times.  Since I need more of these in my stash I used the sketch for inspiration 100%!

I started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock which I layered a piece of patterned paper that was more on the masculine side. I took a length of Natural Hemp Cord and wrapped it around the center panel three times. I stamped my focal image from Crafty Secrets on Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and colored in with various Copic Markers.

Next I die-cut the image out and inked the edges using a blending tool and distress inks and layered it on a coordinated die-cut. Lastly, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in black ink onto Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock also die-cuting adding distress inks to the edges to complete this DMC birthday card.

Here is the sketch:
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your sketch pattern creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a fabulous week!

December PSIC #14 - Wishing You a Joyous Season

Wow, Not only has a new month rolled around, it's the last month of the year. I feel like this year just started! I also hate how old this makes me sound! Really wishing I could turn back time!

Well, as stated, it's a brand new month and that means a brand new challenge at Paper Sweeties!  We bring you another photo inspiration to inspire you! It can be the image or the colors!

Here is what I have to share today!
I used a sentiment from the newly released set: Make The Season Bright.  I made this card a little shabby by adding white paint to the kraft and ivory gingham check background. I added swirly whirl bling that was laying on my desk. It saved me from putting it away. I am glad it found it's home on this card! :-) Pretty flowers, lace trim, part of a doily, and a pretty double bow with a button embellishment is what completes this card.

Here is the darling inspiration photograph:

Watch Us Wednesday at The Kraft Journal - Gift Packaging! {2nd Post}

Hey Friends,

This is my second post this morning! For the DeNami Design Product Spotlight, click here. I hope you will come back to see this cute packaging idea. :-)

It's my turn to share a fun little packaging idea at The Kraft Journal today.  This can be accomplished by using some items from The Kraft Outlet as well as items you may have hanging around in your stash!  The Kraft Outlet sells Lunch Bag Kraft CD Pockets that can be altered to make cutie pie packaging for any occasion, but today I am sharing an idea for Christmas. There is always someone to send a little goody to this time of year, and why not make the packaging special?

I started with a Lunch Bag Kraft CD Pocket and added papers to the front just like I would a card.  At the bottom, I trimmed a piece of Buff Ivory Cardstock to stamp some darling Peppermints in red ink along the bottom. I added some pom pom and sequins from my stash for an eye catching touch.  I die-cut a doily from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and added a portion of it to the top of the card.
At the top, I took a length of Natural Twill Tape and wrapped it around the CD Holder and tied in a bow embellishing with Red Baker's Twine, a button, and berries and a leaf from my stash. The front was dressed up with some chenille candy canes, and a jar of Gingerbread Men.  The Jar and the Gingerbread Men were both stamped and cut from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and Buff Ivory Cardstock.  Both the Jar and the candy canes were wrapped with some Natural Hemp Cord.  All that is left is to fill your pocket with goodies to ensure a smile on someone's face!

Be sure to check out the wonderful products at The Kraft Outlet

I am sharing at: Word Art Wednesday - Anything GoesSunday {Fun}day - November Linky Party, The Ribbon Carousel - Holidays and Celebrations,  Just B Creative - Linky Party, Paper Playtime - Anything Goes, Paper Issues - Christmas.

Thank you for visiting me!

DeNami Product Spotlight Blog Hop - Leafy Squares

Hello Friends!

It's time for the DeNami Design Gals to bring you another Product Spotlight! We are bringing you projects using the fabulous Leafy Squares, and for one week only, DeNami is offering a 10% savings on this set. Hop along with us and leave a comment along the way you just might win this set!!

I gravitate personally to softer colors, so I thought I would use some pastel colors today to show off this set. I actually only used the larger square today. These darling squares could be stamped in any color and used in a variety of ways! The possibilities are endless!
Inside the Leafy Square, I took the berries from the Classic Christmas Stamp Set and stamped it inside each corner in Sky Blue Ink. I added a Yellow Button from the Boutique Pastel Collection in each square. I took a length of lavender ribbon and wrapped it around the middle panel adding my sentiment from The Assorted Greeting Set on a blue scallop circle.

Be sure to hop along and leave a comment for your chance to win this stamp set!
