I think You're Cool {Valentine}

Hey! How are you this morning?!?!?

I have a sweet little Valentine to share with you! You are also going to find me over on the Trendy Twine blog today as I used some yummy Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine. I can't get enough of it!
I started this card by piecing together Valentine patterned paper which I framed to a piece of red cardstock; then layered to Blackboard Stock Paper.  Where the two patterned papers meet, I wrapped a length of of black, gingham ribbon around the card front which I tied in a bow;  I embellished my ribbon treatment further with a cream velvet bow, Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and a red heart button.
I die-cut two layering hearts which I stamped a sentiment from WPlus9 Bitty Buddy Valentine at an angle in cranberry ink. The cute little penguin also from the same set; was stamped on it's coordinating die-cut in black ink and popped up with foam mounting tape on the layering heart combo. A few sequins and a stamped heart was added, but the finishing touch for this focal image was trimming it in Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine before adding it to the card front. Lastly, I had a snippet of crochet trim from my stash which I intertwined with Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine before adding it to the top edge of the card.

Happy Birthday Card Made in Minutes {The Kraft Journal}

Hey there Friends!

The challenge this week at The Kraft Journal is Made In Minutes! We want to see your Clean and Simple designs using either Kraft cardstock or supplies from The Kraft Outlet.

I wanted to show how it was easy to put the card together so quickly by sharing a quick snap shot of some of my supplies before I put the card together.  I sometimes have extra die-cuts either from changing my mind in the design process or sometimes I will take extra cardstock or designer paper snippets and die-cut shapes to use them up with dies I use frequently and I keep them in their respective die-cut ziplock as you see below.
I started with a base of Brown Kraft Cardstock which I matted on Buff Ivory cardstock that was already cut to size. I cut the scrap of stripe patterned paper I had in my stash in half and added it to the left side of the card front. I then took a length of Orange Baker's Twine and wrapped it vertically around the card and tied it in a bow. Next I took out two of the star die-cuts and layered them adding a cute stamped face from Peachy Keen Everyday Character Assortment to the center adding a few coloring details to the face. Lastly, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from My Creative Time Card Sentiments onto the Buff Ivory cardstock in black ink.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Made in Minutes creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Have a wonderful Week!

Guiding Light Birthday~

Hey there!

I am taking a break from some of my Valentine Day work to bring you a masculine birthday card that I needed.

I pulled inspiration from the current Designer Challenge at My Creative Time. I used the Sketch only to fit my current needs. I used several My Creative Products and I will list them below.

I started this card by layering a stamped piece of Brown Kraft cardstock onto a navy card base.  I added a mix of patterns and texture below the focal image. I thought the burlap ribbon was a nice touch to tie in the nautical theme.

A few sequins were added in the upper left corner to complete my nautical birthday greeting.

Warmest Winter Wishes

Monday Winter greetings! At The Kraft Journal this week, we have a Winter challenge for you!!! So please share a card or project with us using Kraft cardstock or products from The Kraft Outlet
I started with my favorite Brown Kraft Coverweight cardstock and cut and folded to an A2 size card.  I pieced together my two patterned papers joining them with a piece of felt ric-rac. I gave it a little more embellishing by adding buttons and laced them with Natural Hemp Cord
To make the focal image, all products are from My Creative Time (except the sequins which are from my stash). I started by die-cutting a stitched oval frame from white cardstock and stamping the sentiment in the upper right corner in black ink. I die-cut and pieced together the skates adding white glitter to the cuffs. I randomly placed a few sequins in the oval for a little added decoration.

Last, I took a length of White Twill Tape and wrapped it around the card front and simply finished it off in a bow.

Please be sure to head over to The Kraft Journal blog to see the projects created by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Winter creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be showcased in the "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher to The Kraft Outlet store.

I am editing to note that I get to play in Darnell's challenge because I realized that I played with new goodies when I created this card. The stamps and dies are new...Yay! So I am joining in at NBUS Challenge #3.

Have yourselves a wonderful day!

Medium Kraft Bags with The Kraft Journal

Hello There!

It's my turn to share a product spotlight at The Kraft Journal. I couldn't resist making some Valentine treat packaging using The Kraft Outlet's Medium Kraft Bags
I cut some hearts from various Valentine patterned papers and layered them on a heart doily die-cut from white and Buff Ivory Cardstock placing them to the center of the bag.
Next, I die-cut a heart and xoxo border placing it just below the heart using a clear liquid adhesive.
Lastly, I created a bow from Blush Hand Stained Bias Tape topping it with another bow made from Natural Hemp Cord embellished with a button.
There are many things you can do with the Medium Kraft Bags, but with Valentine's Day coming up why don't you pick some up at The Kraft Outlet and create some treats of your own for friends, neighbors, teachers, grandchildren....the possibilities are endless.

Thanks so much for your visit!

Crafting Inspiration Day 3

Well Hello there!

It's my turn to share a project on the Trendy Twine Blog using some fabulous Trendy Twine featuring Cherry Cupcake and can we stop and say YUMMY...... and cut files and digital papers from Fleurette Bloom!!! Over the next few days, the Trendy Twine team along with Fleurette's design team will be sharing Valentine projects with you. So be sure to visit the Trendy Twine Blog each day.

So for my project, I am sharing this cute "Beach Bucket" SVG Project Kit, and as you can see I went with a Valentine Theme by using the Hearts A Flutter Digital Paper Pack to cut my files with.
I took the gorgeous Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and added to the top of the bucket handle tying a bow on each end. I outlined the sentiment portion of the shovel with it as well.  After I added the bucket sleeve, I took white crepe paper and pleated it all the way around the center next adding a double layer of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine!
I cut the flower that comes in the kit using solid papers from the Hearts A Flutter Digital Paper Pack with the exception of Red and White they are from my own inventory. I added a button laced with Cherry Cupcake!

Lastly, I just filled my bucket with a candle and some packaged chocolates tied off and embellished with a pink jingle bell, Happy Valentine greeting from WPlus9, and twine.

Thank You {The Kraft Journal}

Hello and Happy New Year!

How are you on this First Monday?  I am trying to stay warm and get back in the swing of things. The Ol' blog has been running on auto pilot as I was spending time with friends and family in my home state of Florida.  I have to say it's pretty darn tough to go from wearing shorts and flip flops to having to bundle up with scarves, gloves, hats, winter coat, and boots. Burr! Give me sun and palm trees any day!

For the first challenge of 2015, The Kraft Journal is starting with a "Thank You" challenge. After the holidays, many of us have thank you notes to give, and we hope you will join us and share some of your thank you creations with us. All you have to do is use Kraft cardstock on your card or products from The Kraft Outlet
I started this card by adhering a piece of snowflake patterned paper to the Brown Kraft Cardstock card base. I stamped the Thank You sentiment from My Creative Time Winter Cheer onto the Brown Kraft Cardstock panel with Jet Black ink and then sponged white craft ink around the edges followed by adding chunky glitter. Buff Ivory Cardstock was used to create a double scallop border to the panel before adhering to the card front.

I layered some die-cut Winter Flakes also made from Buff Ivory Cardstock to the lower left of the panel adding a blue rhinestone for a touch of bling. A few more rhinestones were added for further embellishing. Lastly, a length of Natural Hemp Cord was wrapped around the card front and tied in a double bow adding a few jingle bells for a festive touch.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Thank You creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Wishing you all a wonderful and Happy New Year~
Blessings,
~Tammy~
