The Kraft Journal #186 - Punches

Good Monday Morning!

For my Trendy Twine Gift Packaging Post click here.

Welcome to The Kraft Journal "Punches" Challenge.
We want to see your creations using your punches and either products purchased or can be purchased from "The Kraft Outlet" and/or Kraft cardstock.
I started with a card base made from Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock which I stamped a medallion image using kraft ink directly to the cardstock base. I then used Kraft Text Weight paper and a few punches to create the flower. I spritzed them with Mister Huey's pinstripe Mist and scrunched and rumbled them up a bit.  I punched a hole in the center adding a brad to the center.  Before adding the flower embellishment to the card front, I punched a border from patterned paper and added it to the center of the card. I then wrapped a length of Vintage Winter White Bias Tape around the card front and tied in a fussy bow adding a flower and Memo pin for further embellishing. Lastly, I punched a bird from colored cardstock and the wing from Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive.
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Punch creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Christmas Gift Packaging with Trendy Twine

Hello~
I have a couple Christmas Gift Bags to share with you as it's my day to post over on the Trendy Twine Blog today!  I always need little gifts during the holidays, and I thought these would be cute. The bags and twine used come from Annie's Paper Boutique.  To create my project, I started with wrapping Cranberry Trendy Twine around each of my mini mason jar candle lids and tying a bow. I took a Small Candy Bag and added some kraft shreds to the bottom before placing my candle inside.
I folded the top down of the bags and made a cute little treat topper. For the topper, I used My Creative Time, Curly Label Die folded in half.  I took My Creative Time Scallop and Stitched Circle to stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment from the All Around Holiday Stamp Set with the coordinating Tree die.  For a finishing touch, I added a bow to the center of the topper using our featured Cranberry Trendy Twine

The Kraft Journal Watch Us Wednesday Post Card Tags

Hello Friends,

It's my turn to share a product spotlight this month at The Kraft Journal which is hosted by The Kraft Outlet. Today I am featuring Post Card Tags.   They are vintage style that are blank and can be used for any project. Today, I created a gift box and decorated one to go on top as you see below.

I started out using Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock to create my box.  After I assembled the box by using a file found in the Silhouette store, I added some patterned paper to the front and sides.
I added some stamped images, a die-cut tree, sequins, and then created a triple ribbon from Natural Burlap Ribbon which I embellished further with a Red Baker's Twine bow and a button.

They are perfect to dress up any packaging and would look great at weddings, in home decor projects, the possibilities are endless. Please visit The Kraft Outlet to see the two Post Card Tag varieties they sell.

Thank you for stopping by!

School Days {Trendy Twine}

Good Morning Friends!

I am back over on the Twine It Up! With Trendy Twine Blog today! I made this Back to school themed card for my son to give to one of his teachers.  I can't believe how quick the summer flew by!

 I attached some school themed patterned papers to an A2 red card base. I used a Library card and stamped some school themed sentiments from the Unity Smarty Pants set. I hand wrote 9/2014 in the date section.
I used the Recess Lite Cricut Cartridge to cut the apple and added the Cranberry Trendy Twine before adhering to the library card. For a finishing touch, I added a mini clip to the library card and of course a multi Cranberry Trendy Twine bow embellished with a button.

TKJ#184 - What's on Your Work Table

Good Morning Friends!

{For my Trendy Twine Back To School Project click here}

We have a fun challenge this week at The Kraft Journal! It's "What's On Your Work Table."  At the time it was for me to work on this challenge I turned and looked at what I had on my work space and snapped a picture, so I had to commit to challenge myself to work with what was there. It was actually items that I needed to put away. I had fun making it work.
On my work desk, was my Peachy Keen Stamps Folder,  an extra baseball and bat die-cut, a blue sequin. I think I used everything in the design, but the bat. I of course added more goodies as well.

I started of course with a Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock. In my scrap folder, I found two pieces of patterned paper I wanted to use and joined those together and added them to my card base. I added a length of baseball grosgrain ribbon where the pieces joined. Next I cut a banner from a Vintage Dictionary Page and added it to the left side of the card front. I then added the baseball die-cut which I selected one of the cute faces from Peach Keen Everyday Faces and stamped it on the baseball die-cut. Behind the baseball, I added a layered scalloped circle which I stamped my sentiment using Paper Smooches stamps. Next I die-cut a few stitched stars from My Creative Time.  All that was left was to use the blue sequin, and I added that to one of my red stars and of course I decided to pull out a few more sequins for a final finishing touch.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see "What's on Your Work Table" creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am also sharing at Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, PDE - Kids Theme.

Back to School with Trendy Twine~

{I am honored that this was picked as a Top 3 selection at Decorate to Celebrate on 8/20/14}

Hi everyone! I'm posting over at Twine It Up! With Trendy Twine today!  With the children gearing up to head Back to school, I have a little project to share that my son will be taking to one of his teachers on the first day of school featuring Cranberry Trendy Twine.
I started with a treat file I found in the Silhouette Store which I cut and assembled. I then wrapped the top of the treat box many times with Cranberry Trendy Twine and tied off in a bow embellishing with a button and a Back to School sentiment from Paper Sweeties. The apple cuts were created using the Cricut Lite Recess cartridge.
To dress up the top of the soap bottle, I wrapped more Cranberry Trendy Twine around the neck of the soap adding a red button. Next, I made some pencil toppers to go in the treat box, and I also wrapped the tops of the pencils with twine for a finishing touch.

The Kraft Journal #183 - Dictionary Pages

Hello and Good Monday Morning to you!!!!

It's a new challenge at The Kraft Journal!  For the challenge today, you are to use Dictionary Pages. If you have visited my blog long enough, you know I love The Kraft Outlet's Vintage Dictionary Pages

Today I decided to use the pages as a backdrop for my card. I started with a card base of Buff Ivory Cardstock onto which I added Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock with distressed edges. Next, I added pieced together layers of Vintage Dictionary Pages and patterned paper to the kraft base.

A length of crochet trim was added in the middle. I stamped the vintage labeled image from Waltzingmouse Stamps onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and used a coordinating Spellbinder's die to cut it out before placing it on the card front with foam mounting tape.

Aqua Mist Bias Tape was used to create a fluffy bow in the corner which I embellished further with Natural Hemp Cord bow and a flower. Lastly, I added three pearls to the lower right corner for a final embellishing touch.

I am also sharing at D.L. Art - August Linky Challenge.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your Dictionary Page creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.
