Watch Us Wednesday at The Kraft Journal - Gift Packaging! {2nd Post}

Hey Friends,

This is my second post this morning! For the DeNami Design Product Spotlight, click here. I hope you will come back to see this cute packaging idea. :-)

It's my turn to share a fun little packaging idea at The Kraft Journal today.  This can be accomplished by using some items from The Kraft Outlet as well as items you may have hanging around in your stash!  The Kraft Outlet sells Lunch Bag Kraft CD Pockets that can be altered to make cutie pie packaging for any occasion, but today I am sharing an idea for Christmas. There is always someone to send a little goody to this time of year, and why not make the packaging special?

I started with a Lunch Bag Kraft CD Pocket and added papers to the front just like I would a card.  At the bottom, I trimmed a piece of Buff Ivory Cardstock to stamp some darling Peppermints in red ink along the bottom. I added some pom pom and sequins from my stash for an eye catching touch.  I die-cut a doily from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and added a portion of it to the top of the card.
At the top, I took a length of Natural Twill Tape and wrapped it around the CD Holder and tied in a bow embellishing with Red Baker's Twine, a button, and berries and a leaf from my stash. The front was dressed up with some chenille candy canes, and a jar of Gingerbread Men.  The Jar and the Gingerbread Men were both stamped and cut from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and Buff Ivory Cardstock.  Both the Jar and the candy canes were wrapped with some Natural Hemp Cord.  All that is left is to fill your pocket with goodies to ensure a smile on someone's face!

Be sure to check out the wonderful products at The Kraft Outlet

Inside the Leafy Square, I took the berries from the Classic Christmas Stamp Set and stamped it inside each corner in Sky Blue Ink. Thanksgiving Blessing Mix

Hi!

I know it's been silent around here lately. It's that time of year when there are a lot of directions to go in. I have been getting crafty, but things I can't share just yet.

For now, here is a little something I did for my son to hand out. It's something you can work on together. He has given these out in the past and they were a hit.   I use to have the Blessing Mix Poem typed out so it would fit the shape of a pumpkin, but I lost my file I created when my hard drive crashed, so I just took one from here easy enough. I just added a pumpkin and leaves from the Cricut Cartridges: A Child's Year and Create A Critter. Easy Peasy!
I added some texture to the pumpkin using the Cuttle Bug Swirls Embossing Folder. A little Baker's Twine and done!
Super Easy and Super Meaningful!

Thanksgiving Blessing Mix Poem

Bugles: Shaped like a cornucopia or Horn of Plenty, a symbol of our nation's abundance.

Pretzels: Arms folded in prayer, a freedom sought by those who founded our country.

Candy corn: Sacrifices of the Pilgrims' first winter. Food was so scarce that settlers survived on just a few kernels of corn a day.

Nuts or seeds: Promise of a a future harvest, one we will reap only if seeds are planted and tended with diligence.

Dried fruits: Harvest gifts of our bountiful land.

M&Ms: Memories of those who came before us to guide us to a blessed future.

Hershey's Kiss: The love of family and friends that sweetens our lives

DeNami Nov Pin-Spired - Give Thanks

Hello there!

It's Group 2 from the DeNami Design Design Team to share another Pin-Spired project with you. I didn't do my "usual" literal approach, but rather took elements from the picture to create a card for this time of year. I used lots of DeNami goodness today. I love the inspiration photo this month. It's so warm and inviting.

Here is my card...
The DeNami Supplies used:
Since the inspiration photo shows a white entry way, I chose to start with a white card base. I stamped the Solid Leaves Cling Set  and the Autumn Stamp Set in various fall colors on the left side of the card panel. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped the Gingham Background in Spiced Marmalade Ink which I used to create my background for my pumpkins. I layered the Give Thanks sentiment inside a scallop circle cut adding the Wheat stalks to the middle upon which I nested inside the Demi Double Circle. I finished off with a ribbon treatment embellished with a White Boutique Button.
I hope you will visit my fellow design team partners in seeing how this photo inspired them.

The Kraft Journal 147 - Color Challenge {Thankful}

Happy Monday!

For today's Color Challenge, at The Kraft Journal, I started with a card base of Medium Weight Kraft cardstock onto which I added a embossed panel of Buff Ivory Cover Weight cardstock.

I took vintage photo distress ink and sponged it across the panel with a ink blending tool.  A doily was added to the center of the panel.

A length of red and white stripe ribbon was wrapped around the card front and tied into a bow adding a button and topping with a bow made from Metallic Twist Hemp Twine.  A pennant was created from brown designer paper and was added to the right side of the card front. I created a paper rosette from gray designer paper and added a metallic gray covered button.  Three flowers were added for further embellishing.  Lastly I used a small staple to fasten a leftover ribbon snippet to serve as a decorative panel for the "Thankful" sentiment from the Chit Chat Seasonal Word Stickers. I try to reuse every bit of leftovers I can! :-)
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other gals.  We hope to see your Color Challenge creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Paper Sweeties November Release Rewind - All that Glitters....

Hey there!

I am back today along with the Paper Sweeties Design Team to show off one final project for the November Release. Today's card uses a "New" image as well as a sentiment from a previous release. The stamps are in the store, and I hope you have had a chance to pick some up!

I started with my focal image. I heat embossed the wreath from Make The Season Bright using Aqua embossing powder.  I took a sentiment from the previously released set Friendship Warms The Heart and masked it to fit inside the wreath. I used a white pigment ink and heat set with white embossing powder. Since we are on the subject of GLITTER *grin*, I added some to my focal image and layered it on a snowflake I die-cut from white glitter paper onto which I layered on a die-cut scallop heart from pink glitter paper. The rest is just little layers of goodness to complete the card along with a fussy shabby bow embellished with some baker's twine and bling!

I hope you will visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they have created today!

Paper Sweeties November 2013 Day 3

Hello Friends and welcome to Day 3 of the November Release for Paper Sweeties. the stamps are officially in the store. I have a Christmas Thank You card to share using two of the new sets. Ho Ho Ho and Season of Love
I started this card by piecing together some Christmas argyle patterned paper to a piece of Kraft Card Stock which I have hand stamped with an image from Seasons of Love and added to my green card base.
I stamped a background onto a kraft pocket using the same stamp as the background paper. I stamped the wreath onto white cardstock adding a sentiment to the center in red ink. I used a circle die to cut it out and add to the center of the pocket to create a focal image.  I stamped the gingerbread cuties from Ho Ho Ho to the center of a tag created from white cardstock. I decided to give them a touch of color by coloring them with prisma pencils and mineral spirits. The edges have all been inked to add a little depth.

I took a length of white crochet trim and added to a piece of decorative paper which has been added to the center of my card front.  Lastly adding the pocket to the center.

Please don't forget to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog, as well as the rest of the Design Team Blogs to see what the November Paper Sweeties release has to offer. Please stop back by tomorrow as we have one more day of creations using the current release with sets previously released.

Paper Sweeties November 2013 Day 2

Hello Again,

It's time to show off some more of the Paper Sweeties November Release. The set that I am working with today is Ho Ho Ho and is already available in the Paper Sweeties Store.

I totally love gingerbread "people" and I couldn't resist working with these cuties. There are some darling stamps in this set and they come with coordinating dies, but I reached for the "Mr. and Mrs." for this creation!

I started by using a white pigment ink and stamped them onto kraft cardstock and embossed them with white embossing powder and heat set.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added a sentiment from the same set and added them to a die-cut label.
Lastly was just adding pretty paper layers and embellishing with a fussy seam binding bow, button, twine, and a length of crochet white trim.
Well that's all for me today! Be sure to stop by again tomorrow for some more from this new release. Before you go, check out what the other DT gals put together with stamps from this release.

DeNami Design Stamps has another product spotlight to share today. The Design Team has put together creations to spark your creativity on how to use this darling Turkey stamp. You can purchase the stamp for a 10% savings for one week only which starts today.
I used lots of DeNami Goodness today.
This card was started with a Buff Ivory Card base onto which I layered some various patterned papers. I created a border panel using the Gingham Background stamped with Rich Cocoa Momento Ink and trimmed with pinking shears. I took some Natural Twill Tape and wrapped around the card front and tied in a bow embellishing with a Sand Button and Green and White Twine
I stamped and fussy cut two of the Solid Leaves and added a few buttons to embellish.
At the bottom of my card base, I stamped the Autumn Stamp Set and the berries from the Classic Christmas Stamp Set to create a decorative border.
